No wonder why the Nigerian athletes change their nationality to represent other countries like Qatar and Portugal. Best e.g Francis Obikewalo.

No. Thank you, I'm an athlete too and I have to admit it's a bit discouraging when people suggest we should just leave our country be and run for another but at the end of the day, it's not about us but the ones coming after us. And yes, I hope He reads this!

I've always said that Jamaica was the Nigeria of the Carribeans in Terms of size, popularity and specialization in a particular sport.
But with that said, Divine will never stop running for Nigeria. You have to understand how Nigerians are: we talk shit a out our country and complain about it from time to time, but at the end of the day, it's all we know and have come to love.
Think of the Nigerian people as a woman, and the Nigerian Government and systems as an Abusive boyfriend that beats us up every other night. We complain about how we aren't being treated right and swear up and down that we will break up the relationship, but at the end of the day, we are too in love to abandon this toxic relationship, lol.
I live in Thee States now and I haven't been home in about 5 Years now. But no where else feels like home. Nigeria will always be my lover.

These comments are just typical of Nigerians. When are we going to stop complaining about how bad our country's leadership is and start doing something about it?
"Nigeria" is a concept that was created by our British colonizers. It's about time we went through a heavy rebranding process and create a country we can be proud of.

@@davidmuhammad8960 Why are you so hateful? What have Nigeria done to you. A fellow black man saying he hates another black man is the reason black people are were we are today. Nigerians criticize everybody, we criticize ourselves more than anything else. Nigerians criticizing black Americans is because they expect better, we are high archievers and seeing how black Americans waste the resources they have can be frustrating to see.

@Isaiah Kyuga Dosen't change the fact that Nigerians are high achievers which is my whole argument. The top two richest black people on earth are Nigerians. Nigeria is only 59 years old, we are not lucky enough to have the type of education and infastructure america as yet but we are getting there. I agree that Nigeria should/could be better but with all the troubles, Nigeria is still the leading black nation on earth. The most populated and also the richest black nation on earth. My argument was about the mentality black Americans have towards education and not about the natural resources Nigeria as.
