That's great! That's why I always try to film at a new airport; first, I never know how often I'll connect at that airport in the future, and then I hope the video helps users navigate, especially if they have a tight connection. I have a flight coming up with a 40-minute connection in Minnesota. That might be too tight to do a video of, but I'm hoping it goes ok since I've never been there.
Those little and nimble wheels on the bottom of luggage are the best invention since french fries. And I enjoyed your walk through that neat concourse.
I will be flying to Detroit this summer and have a connecting flight which I hope I won't miss. I will have about 40 minutes to catch the connecting flight. Wish I know where the gates are between two flights so I can run and arrive at the gate. LOL!
I looked back at my ticket. I was set to arrive in Detroit at 11:26 am, and then depart at 12:15 pm. If I recall, Delta would stary check-ins 30 minutes before takeoff there, so I probably knew I could film this video before 11:45 am.
I'm trying to find a video that actually helps you navigate the roads and terminals to get to arrivals. I am trying to pick up my girlfriend from Russia. Do you have any videos on that? I would appreciate a response more than you know. What terminal will I be picking her up at? I've never been to an airport and I am extremely nervous.
Hi there! Unfortunately, I was only at the airport for a brief time, and haven't been to the city or outside the Airport. So are you currently living in the Detroit area, and then she is coming from Russia? If so, she might arrive at the International gates? But it depends if she's on a connecting flight. Try to look on Google Maps and do directions from where you are, to the airport arrivals terminal. Then, after you look at the blue path, look at Street View and try peeking through it for a bit, that's what I usually do. Maybe you can drive there before her arrival, just to get familiar with the area. Usually, you can't park at the arrivals area, because it's meant for a quick pick up. So you'd want to be somewhere nearby where you can kind of park, and then when you hear she's arrived or close, then you head to the area and hopefully meet up with her. Alternatively, you could try to park in a nearby parking lot, and take a bus or walk into the airport and wait for her inside when she exits the TSA area.
This guy is such a putz. He has no concept of the DTW airport. I lived in Detroit when it opened and it was a NWA hub and I still transit regularly. It has an MCT of 35 minutes which isn't much of a problem.

Detroit is probably the best airport I have layed over in! Would do it again!
Thanks for the video, I watched in preparation for an upcoming trip. You saved me from a gray hair or two.

I absolutely love this video I will be in DTW for the first time in June and I found this so helpful.

lol, and believe it or not, I don't own any luggage that have those wheels! But I agree that they are very convenient.

The tram has 3 stations: North, Central/Main Terminal, and South
Love my home airport! What model camera did you use?
I used the DJI Pocket 2 Creator Combo - amzn.to/3VHGx7Q
I’ve never been to the other non delta terminal I’m always curious if it looks this nice since I’m pretty sure NWA actually renovated this one 🤔
yes, NWA built it in 2002! it was originally named Northwest World Gateway, detroit was NWA's link to Asia, and it still is Delta's link to Asia :)
Minneapolis airport is the nicest in the country hands down.
DTW *hold my beer*
I agree, I've been to Pheonix, Denver, and Detroit, they pale in comparison
Do you know the quickest way to transfer terminals? McNamara to Evans? How much time would you allow?
15 minutes is surprisingly fast for the distance. Did you have something like 30-45 mins connection there?

Detroit airport looks a lot nicer then Detroit itself. Lol.
