    Thanks for the video!
    I'm picking up a new 2023 Tiger 900 GT this week and your video answered a bunch of my questions about the TFT screen.

    Very good video, i think triumph did a good job with the new screen but the only things that bugs me is the rpm counter wich i think it should be noted backwards ( to start close and go away as you accelerate).

      Cheers! Yes, that seems to be one of the biggest complaints about the tft. Personally I have got used to it and I quite like the rev counter now. You can set it so that it changes colour as the revs rise to indicate when to change gear. It’s quite cool to be fair!

      Yeah, demo road the bike, and had the same issue. The first thing I asked the Triumph guy, if there any way to make rev counter properly visible, because none of 4 styles display it correctly. The numbers are too small, and the line where you are at is barely visible. I hit rev limiter twice, just because I can't see the revs properly. I would even say, it's quite annoying, because the screen looks huge compared to Trasnalp or V-Strom 800RE, but it doesn't have a single style with rev counter visible. All rev available options are identical :(

    My preferred display style is 4 because it's the only one I can tell my RPMs at a glance due to it only showing 1 graph instead of 2 (although it would be even better if the number direction was switched). Makes absolutely no sense to me why Triumph designers would waste valuable screen real estate by showing the same information twice.

    Thanks for the video, big help. Can you tell me how you out your Tom Tom tinder? Is it a kit you can buy or just connected to the screen handle

      Hi, it ia the Evotech mount. It fixes to the back of the tft screen. Great bit of kit and easy to fit too!

    I test road Tiger 900 GT Pro for couple of hours on Friday. And the TFT sceen was one of the issues. I even asked the guy at Triumph if there's anything possible to do, to make RPMs visible properly. The numbers are too small, and the line what revs you are at not really properly visible, only as an aproximation. All 4 stiles and RPMs counter is always tiny. They made such a big screen, but cannot make revs visible.
    Anyway, that's the reason I came to watch this video, to check if maybe there's something possible to fix. Also, on camera in this video RPM numbers look bigger than actually looking at them while sitting on the bike. I'm 36 year old and have no issues with eyes. Not being able to see revs, made me to hit rev limitter couple of times while redlining the bike.
    So, rev coounter needs to be changed 100% on future screens, but I have opportunity to get a little bit disocunted Aragon edition, so thinking about it. Plus I need a bike latest by end of Feb, so can't wait too long for the new bikes.

      It is one of the most complained about aspects of the old bike. Personally I have no issue with it, I have got used to it and can see my revs at a glance.
      But the new 2024 tiger 900 has got a revised tft screen, with the same display as on the 1200 so Triumph do seem to have addressed the issue!

    Hi thank you for this video! can i ask an opinion about the scottoiler? is helpful or are wasted money? thank you so much!

    • @ukveganbikers
      @ukveganbikers  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hmmm. My opinion on scottoilers after using them for several years? I wouldn't bother. In my experience they do not extend chain life, are very messy, and the electronic versions are woefully unreliable!
      I've gone back to manual lubing in the past year or so, but have recently purchased a Loobman oiler which I intend to try out in future.

    Hi there friend! May i ask you, in the simple gt version, are the driving modes customizable, as it is in the pro version?

    • @ukveganbikers
      @ukveganbikers  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, I’ll be honest, I don’t know the answer to that. I know the GT has 4 riding modes, so I am assuming one of them is user configurable. But I would check with a dealer first.

      I'm picking up my new 2023 Tiger 900 GT this week and I was just on Triumph's website reading about this subject, but I haven't had a chance to read the owner's manual yet.
      Take this with a BIG grain of salt because there are always typos on Triumph's website.
      For example, it states that the seat height on the Tiger 900 GT Low Ride Height version is 770 - 790mm. However, several paragraphs down on the same page it states that the seat height on the Tiger 900 GT Low Ride Height version is 760 - 780mm.
      As for the riding modes it states this:
      Up to six riding modes-
      The new Tiger 900 range has up to six riding modes that adjust throttle response, ABS and traction control settings for maximum control in all riding conditions.
      All Tiger 900 models have Road, Rain, Off-Road and Sport riding modes.
      The top-spec GT Pro and Rally Pro bikes both enjoy an additional fifth Rider-programmable mode, and exclusive to the top-spec Rally Pro model is a sixth Off-Road Pro mode.
      Tiger 900 GT Pro Features-
      There’s also a fifth riding mode, so as well as GT standard Road, Rain, Off-Road and Sport modes, the GT Pro has an extremely useful Rider-Programmable mode to precisely tailor the bike’s set up to your riding needs.

    im used to BMW F900R and am looking into getting a GS or Tiger but have to say that its disappointing to see how much reflection there is on the Triumph screen...no reflection on a BMW TFT

    • @ukveganbikers
      @ukveganbikers  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's because of the screen protector I have fitted and I also have it in night mode permanently which doesn't help. With no screen protector and in day time mode there is no problem with reflections.

      I honestly wouldn't bother with it. It works ok but is a very basic system. I have now fitted a quad lock above the tft screen and use my phone as a sat nav.
