This is probably one of your best videos, it can be used as a primer for TH-cam channels to post for responding to their trolls, seriously it was a great breakdown of a troll. Regarding your channel, I am jealous you can find free spots and get away without paying for them, I think that may be the crux of of the problem for the trolls is you live truly rent free minus what's being put into Lenny. I do wish you'd put more effort into the rig build but as you said, how it gets done is none of anybody's business, not our bus, I missed the one about a new rig so I'm going to have to go back and check that out. Side bar, Eric from Nomadic Fanatic as you know has trolls who make only anti Nomadic Fanatic content, he lives rent free in their mind but then again he did claim to fall off of his rig, break some ribs and then need crutches for that showing he didn't have broken ribs, I played semi-pro hockey and broke enough bones, ribs included to know how insanely painful it is and since I work with Doctor's I asked them about this and they laughed saying yeah he didn't break ribs. Any way, I didn't troll him but he got roasted hard for days and of course the troll channels had content galore as he posted videos while using crutches. I digress... I do admit, your view count confounds me, I had expected by now for the views to average going up but then I created my own TH-cam channel, low effort at this point due to time but damn near no views. Also, how the good God man do you come up with ideas on what to post?!?!? It seems I lack them and heck yes it's work, editing without spending a lot of money to use for the music filler, clever inserts or what have you, the time alone on top of the editing can be a lot. So, the KISS method should suffice right, I downloaded Davinci Resolve 19 free edition and I'm using that on a ridiculously fast Precision 7670 so, time to spit out the video is very little compared to my first video I edited back in 1999 that took hours to render for just a few minutes of video. Anyway, I think I mentioned before I'm in IT Management but still doing the grunt work as well, big firewall migration yesterday. I'm not going to give the name of my channel until I make a video worthy of getting the word out. I wish you luck, I'm guessing you're doing contract work right now, I miss those days. HA. I appreciate that! And don't worry, we'll get back into working on Lenny soon enough! I have seen the amount of trolls that NF has, and frankly I just don't get it. I do think it's easy for people to pick on a guy with 240K+ subscribers, and maybe some of these trolls actually believe they're doing something good by "exposing" him for whatever reason. I don't see it. His channel is entertaining, if nothing else, and if someone doesn't like that cup of tea, TRY ANOTHER ONE! lol I think that ribs incident may have been some of that entertainment value and who knows how that relationship ended, that might have hurt him a bit as well. But people do love drama, it does sell! I would have thought the views would go way up as well, though I do see folks with far less subscribers that post videos with thousands and thousands of views, when I'm averaging maybe 300-400 per video. They may not have people that plan to return for their content but they have some sort of appeal that gets them those initial views! It's an interesting science. I'm pretty comfortable with my style though, I just play with things here and there to see what works. If people don't like these videos, that's totally okay too! As for ideas, I'm like a damn factory sometimes, it's crazy. I get ideas from just about anything around me! Sometimes I come up with 7 ideas out of a 30 minute drive and I shoot 3 videos in a day. lol There are some times that I don't have many ideas, but so long as I'm creating every day, I look at what I just created and build on to it next time. I don't even want to talk about the music part of things. I spend probably 8 hours a month just finding music that doesn't suck, and then I fish through to find the right "vibe" when I actually need music. I often deliberately choose not to have music in most videos, just because I like my style where the viewer is in the place with me! They're not necessarily exciting videos, but they serve specific people and I like that. Editing does get faster over time, if that's helpful to you though! For me, the editing made the shooting easier because I already knew what works and what doesn't, saving me more time in the edit. Knowing what will eventually look and sound good vs what makes me feel and look awkward lol Yep! Contracting. i wouldn't worry about what people say or think because in 3 generations no one would be here to even remember them. I follow several people that have u-tube channels and some make enough money to live it seems yet others make enough money to buy video and computer equipment, etc. Seems like you need to have content that people want and enjoy which apparently you have since I keep coming back. I enjoy watching the build of Lenny, the travels and scenary, and your thoughts on things.
Oh yeah. I finished this video and realized 100 more things I forgot to mention. Most importantly, it's easy to shit on people who are actually creating something. HOLY CRAP! YOUR FREAKIN' HEAD IS HUGE! My wife and I were chillin' in bed and we turned on TH-cam and saw you had a new video! On a 65" TV you have one GIANT pumpkin head with this kind of up-close shot... good grief! LOL!! The video was really HD and I swear I felt some of your spit hitting me in the face when you were talking! Haa! I won't soap box this too much, but as for me I am torn between screwing with the trolls, as you have, or not rewarding them by recognizing their comments... I'm on the fence with that. There are only a few YT folks I follow that will even chat back and forth in the comment section and I have to say that if you ever blew up, like some of the channels I follow who now won't acknowledge me, I would probably unsub and move along. So, I like the interaction and for now you are a small enough channel to continue to chat it up with us. That's not the first time I've heard that I have a big head. But it still hurts... hahaha Yep, it's the Tamron 17-28mm f/2.8 that really has some incredible sharpness, great color, and with that bokeh it offers that lovely "pop!" Paired nicely with the Sony A7IV, that sensor is fantastic and it's a great combo. The ONLY thing it's missing is good stabilization or it would replace the GoPro 100% of the time for vlogs and such. I know what you mean, I go back and forth between ignoring them, blocking them, or replying and having a bit of fun. I do my best not to feed them too frequently though. 😂 It's an interesting thing because I'll look at comments on channels like Nomadic Fanatic and Campervan Kevin, and while they don't hire folks to respond for them, they can't reply to everyone either. The amount of comments that they get is overwhelming to me, for sure! I think that's why live streams are so nice though, immediate reactions and communications. Until the mic has an issue... I don't blame you at all! I'd love to see some drone footage from around the area, but it's definitely one of those things that without a specific niche and a little bit of a plan as to what you want things to look like, becoming a regular "vlogger" (🤮) is slow-moving, takes a lot of work, and definitely isn't worth the stress for most folks, I'd say! I'll throw in a surprise pumpkin head every now and then since I know how much you enjoyed it.

I am so glad someone asked this question. I was NOT expecting the response I've had on these videos! I wanted to have a good conversation that might possibly influence how we all treat others and a nice ethos to carry around with us, while using a SUPER clickbait title that exaggerated how people seem to misinterpret or assume I feel. Hell, we know that there are plenty of folks who do actually feel that way about folks living in vehicles! To my surprise, I've had to delete a few of the nasty comments because people reacted so viscerally to the title, which is frankly hilarious. These are all folks who clearly never took time to watch the video, but took time to leave a ridiculous comment. We lost a few subs on that video initially, but as the views have increased dramatically we have actually gained a significant amount more! I didn't expect either of those to happen, but it seems to get people excited and they appreciate my perspective! This video is somehow already rather popular, and folks are more likely to click! It might be the thumbnails or the topics at hand... Can't say. But the more I share my thoughts and feelings, the more people seem to love it! People love the sass I guess. 😂

They are you when they're done, and I absolutely love that idea that there will not be another like it. If I am to have a concern, it's the lack of heat you're currently working through. I hope you keep safe and if it does truly get bone chilling cold, that you all have the ability to shelter where there is proper heat until you get your situation figured out and sorted. You two rock, and If I do get to move forward on my own conversion, and I am actively looking for a bus of my own, I'd love to meet up at some point just to shake your hand in person and thank you for your content. For whatever reasons, haters will be haters. All of us are ignorant of many subjects at any given moment as in: "You don't know what you don't know". And many ignorant souls will remain so by choosing not to research facts + history, and refuse to open their minds to other possibilities even if handed to them on a platter. If you do, you're labeled WOKE. So be it, I'll take understanding over stupidity any day as I can't build on a false premise knowingly or rely on its holding up what I built on it. Simple science/physics analogy: Don't build you home on unstable sand bar or landfill, especially in earthquake prone regions. It appears as solid as anywhere else for awhile, until reality shakes things up and down. You and Emma have chosen to exercise your rights and freedoms held with the Constitution and the amendments made to it and the other legislation(s) under its constraints. I gather other's have problems with your decisions to live unconstrained by the norms Americans (and others) have become accustomed to and tied to one's so-called "ability to afford", generally by living under a cloud of ever increasing debt and ever increasing limits. It's out of control and thankfully for you two, you've chosen a much better path and can sleep at night, pivot immediately if necessary, and fund the bigger picture for your future and the future that will engulf us all. It has its momentary/temporary drawbacks but they are far easier to accept than the rash of alternatives others have chosen/accepted. Personally I don't mind a principled conservative human being moving into the White House, some things are too far out of whack, so lets say a Dwight Eisenhower type, but the individual the country has chosen, again, has skirted laws and principled decency his entire life, and his cancer will spread far beyond what many don't understand or are willing to understand. The type of trolling we get to see with just your videos will be emboldened and deepened even further I'm afraid and Free Speech won't have any meaning as it turns to Any Speech, no matter how low or unfounded. They love the protections of the Constitution but only as they see it protecting them: Free to do as they damn well please, the equally applied protective laws and restrictions for all to enjoy don't mean a damn to them. That's what the Karen's (M or F) of the world see when they see Bailey, or Lenny, or the future newbie, quietly & legally parked anywhere near their neighborhood and they have to "sound the alarm". Even if they've been spoken to before by the municipalities' authorities.
That very well may be! Most folks don't realize that the only thing stopping them is themselves. Getting out of our own way can be insurmountable for some.
A job is a thing you do to make money. If TH-cam makes you money it's a job, it's taxable income. Even if you do it as a hobby, making money makes it a job. For whatever reasons, haters will be haters. All of us are ignorant of many subjects at any given moment as in: "You don't know what you don't know". And many ignorant souls will remain so by choosing not to research facts + history, and refuse to open their minds to other possibilities even if handed to them on a platter. If you do, you're labeled WOKE. So be it, I'll take understanding over stupidity any day as I can't build on a false premise knowingly or rely on its holding up what I built on it. Simple science/physics analogy: Don't build you home on unstable sand bar or landfill, especially in earthquake prone regions. It appears as solid as anywhere else for awhile, until reality shakes things up and down.
You and Emma have chosen to exercise your rights and freedoms held with the Constitution and the amendments made to it and the other legislation(s) under its constraints. I gather other's have problems with your decisions to live unconstrained by the norms Americans (and others) have become accustomed to and tied to one's so-called "ability to afford", generally by living under a cloud of ever increasing debt and ever increasing limits. It's out of control and thankfully for you two, you've chosen a much better path and can sleep at night, pivot immediately if necessary, and fund the bigger picture for your future and the future that will engulf us all. It has its momentary/temporary drawbacks but they are far easier to accept than the rash of alternatives others have chosen/accepted.
Personally I don't mind a principled conservative human being moving into the White House, some things are too far out of whack, so lets say a Dwight Eisenhower type, but the individual the country has chosen, again, has skirted laws and principled decency his entire life, and his cancer will spread far beyond what many don't understand or are willing to understand. The type of trolling we get to see with just your videos will be emboldened and deepened even further I'm afraid and Free Speech won't have any meaning as it turns to Any Speech, no matter how low or unfounded. They love the protections of the Constitution but only as they see it protecting them: Free to do as they damn well please, the equally applied protective laws and restrictions for all to enjoy don't mean a damn to them.
That's what the Karen's (M or F) of the world see when they see Bailey, or Lenny, or the future newbie, quietly & legally parked anywhere near their neighborhood and they have to "sound the alarm". Even if they've been spoken to before by the municipalities' authorities.

That very well may be! Most folks don't realize that the only thing stopping them is themselves. Getting out of our own way can be insurmountable for some.
A job is a thing you do to make money. If TH-cam makes you money it's a job, it's taxable income. Even if you do it as a hobby, making money makes it a job.
