As far as I know, risotto should be more like a cream, than like a soup. Basically, when it's completely cooked, you should put a spoon of (vegan) butter in the pan and mix it well. That's called "mantecatura" and gives the risotto its texture. Risotto is typically made in the north of Italy and I'm from the south, so I'm not 100% sure about the soupy/creamy thing. I would love to make that kale salad, but it's not easy to find kale here 😅
Yes also maybe she did this and we didn’t see, but I understand risotto should be stirred constantly so not to stick to the bottom and so the rice continues to shed the starch on the outside of the grain little by little.
i’m not sure why but something about the italian music and watching you cook dinner made me think of watching my mom cook while i was a kid♥️ love ur videos so much they’re so intimate and chill!
Hi, I’ve been working my way back thru your vids bc they calm me. Anyway, just want to say I love how many words you abbreviate, that I thought only I did, like “din” instead of dinner ty
Tried the jackfruit/corn/bean tacos you made a couple videos ago---absolutely delicious!!! I have shared with a couple friends so far and everyone's obsessed, gonna become a weekly meal for me. Thanks for sharing, Jenny!
I am so I love with your editing style and music selection. You always seem so at ease on camera and I feel like I know you . 😂😂😂 You have inspired me so much.
Love your videos tip tho, save your veggies scraps, literally even onion peel, freeze, then once you have a bunch boil then for 45 minutes with a saucepan full of water and you have HOME MADE VEGGIE STOCK MADE FOR FREEEE 👏
Hi beautiful creature! Just a small suggestion (you know how we Italians are made, cooking is a sacred thing). The trick for a perfect risotto is to cook the rice with a vegetable broth, glass by glass like you did. Put an onion, a little bit of celery and a carrot in a little pan and add it slowly to the risotto. Finally, for "al dente" cooking, at the beginning you can literally toast the rice lightly with a little bit oil and onion. Final tip: the best wine to blend risotto with is Barolo so while you cook you can also drink it and the risotto taste better :)
Jenny!! 💛 here’s a kitchen tip if you want to make your own inexpensive zero waste veggie stock: Every time you cook, freeze the end bits/peeled skin of your veggies in a container. Once it’s full, wash them and add water so you can boil a big batch of yummy stock (freeze it in batches for later use!) ✨🥕🥦
also im super intimidated by sourdough but my friend gave me some of hers and i've been slowly using it in recipes that aren't a traditional loaf until i build up the confidence to bake my own loaf! highly recommend trying that if you know someone who bakes sourdough just steal some of their starter : )
This is how I feel about cooking for 1!!! I love that you're so chill and unfiltered. Thank you for giving us something nice to watch on a Sunday afternoon
loved the vid! definitely trying that dressing this week -- good dressings really make a salad and i have some spicy dijon mustard that i think would take so good with shallots :) ty jenny
Love your videos Jenny! For anyone interested in supplements, I see the sponsored multivitamin contains B12. If you are a vegan/vegetarian/susceptible to low absorption of B12/etc do NOT depend on a multivitamin to get you your B12!!! Vitamin B deficiency is no joke and inevitable for plant based individuals long term. methyl B12 is not stable enough to be effective when part of a single multivitamin capsule (either by mixing with other vitamins and the fact that you must chew or dissolve B12 in your saliva for it to activate in your body)! Nutrition facts dot org for people interested in plant based lifestyles. ❤️
I've been following your channel for a while now and I must say: don't know what (and if) something happened to you lately, but I've never seen you so beautiful! Keep going girl :)
Hi Jenny! Can you please tell us what’s the name of the typography don’t you have used for this video ? (I think it’s the one you usually use) thanks! ❤️

exactly! We're italians and we never heard about soupy risotto! Please make it creamy 💗

9:48 is a great photograph. The pan, sweater, and mug all the same hue of blue with the bright red tomatoes and the wood of the counter. So beautiful

The recipes you make always resembles the Turkish cuisine to me (I'm turkish). You can try dishes with "bulgur", I think you'll like it!
