Colligative properties are the properties which only depend on number of moles of solute and not on nature of solute. there are 4 colligative properties ;
1. relative lowering of vapour pressure
2.osomis and osmotic pressure
3.evlevation in boiling point and,
$. deprresion in freezing point.

Vant hoff factor is denoted by( i)..
We use it to study how much dissociation or association has taken place in a solution after mixing. ACC to ideal soln we expect the no. of particles to remain same or a specified value is expected... That is called theoretical value... But in reality particles either dissociate or associate and that is observed or experimental value... I hope u understood😊
