- Hello everyone and welcome back to my channel for another Hot Toys 1/6 scale unboxing and review. Today we have the long awaited WB100 Wonder Woman with the wall rooted hair. I want first thank William Wang for securing this for me, without him this video wouldn’t exist. The moment Hot Toys announced this I wanted this figure because I am huge Gal Gadot Wonder Woman fan and wanted what I consider Hot Toys best version in my collection.
I took my time to review all aspects of this figure since there possibly wont be many reviews so I wanted to make sure I tried to cover everything and do my best to address any concerns collectors may have. Once having this in hand it also opens up questions I have about the new Artisan series.

She is a beauty. I have the WW84 Golden Armor Hot Toy. I own Barbies and love restyling their hair. I like sculpted hair but helmet hair is no joke. This one coming with a head of awesome hair near perfect. Amazing! What a great figure.

Thank you so much for the support! This is an important figure for Hot Toys especially with the artisan series coming and even healthy competition from Inart on rooted. I feel like an important component to rooted aside from the initial unboxing is how it last over time so as I mentioned I’ll either do a 30 day check in on it or film and wait another 30 days and do a 60 day check in we will see either way there will be a follow up on the this figure to how it’s holding up as is. I never messed with it aside from the unboxing.

As a collector who has a lot of experience with dealing with this type of rooted hair, I can tell you that the key is - DON"T TOUCH IT, lol. If you are a visual person who puts your figures in a pose and leave them alone, she will basically always look as good as new. The hair is very unlikely to start looking a mess on it's own if she's just standing there in one pose all the time. However, the more you handle her, put her in different poses and touch the hair, it will start to look rough and unless you are very good with doll hair, you won't be able to get it looking as good as she did when she first arrived. So, my advice would be - just don't mess with this type of figure too much. Even touching this type of hair gently, will still cause strands of hair to get out of place. As for the figure, she looks great...probably as close to perfect as a Gal Gadot Wonder Woman can be. This is the only Gal Gadot wonder woman they've done that I actually love. The 2nd best is the 1984 version, but I don't like any of the others.
Well what’s great about this figure is hot toys has seemed to remove a lot of the futzing a collector would normally have to do by adding some time of additive to the top of the hair to avoid messing around with it mine has been left pretty much stock out of the box and looks amazing as it 🤙

congrats, she’s absolutely beautiful! massive props to hot toys for maintaining the prototype quality this time with this long awaited ww! this headsculpt imo bears 90-95% likeness to Gal, people who said it looks nothing like her need to get their eyes checked lmao. truly regretted missing out on her, hopefully i can find one for a reasonable price in the aftermarket Lol. thank you for this very insightful showcase/review. very much recommend this video to anyone who are on the fence with this amazing release!
Thank you so much for the kind words. I agree the likeness to Gal is there, perfect? No its not. I posted a review of the Golden Armor Wonder Woman last year and I commented in the review how the camera just doesn't pick up the likeness as good as in person. This is one of those figures people will be quick to give thoughts on based on photos and may never actually own it. Sometimes we have to be willing to amend our judgments when we see something in person vs just photos. I did my best to answer or address concerns people may have with this going into the review.
@@mr.momcollectibles totally with you there 100%. just like golden armor which i do own (love that figure, probably a top 3 for me an absolute standout with its presence) this is also a figure you need to see in hand to fully appreciate how good and accurate to Gal that sculpt really is, not to say it looks bad in pics, it just looks so much better in person that pics do not give it justice at all plus the hair is gorgeous! btw, how much were you able to get her? can’t believe i’ve only come across your channel just now Lol. definitely subscribed, an underrated channel for sure!

I left the link in the video description of who I got it from prior to it going up for sale on Sideshow and shouted the person out a few times in the video. I do agree people are quick to judge I do it all the time myself, but I spoke to some who saw it in person prior to release and they said the same thing how amazing it is in person.

Great review Ryan👌🏻 If I was collecting DC I would definitely get this. I liked the comparisons with the other WW figures, they’re all great but this new one raises the bar as far as the head sculpts go! The hair looked great, but I’m not entirely convinced just yet, I’ll be very interested to see what it’s like when you do the 30/60/90 day follow up that you mentioned. From what you described I’m a little concerned the hair on top will stay kinda solid (almost sculpted if you will!) whereas the ends of the hair may go a bit frizzy and require maintenance. I hope not tho because out the box it’s looking fantastic!! 🔥🔥 Have high hopes for the Artisan range if this is anything to go by. Hair and sculpt on point. Loving the closeup shots of the figure and sculpt and accessories too👌🏻 Thanks for the video 👍🏻😀🍻
Absolutely I have the same concerns you do with the hair as I have it in my collection over the next few weeks/months. I have her displayed as it for this very reason to see how it holds up over time and I offer those updates. This makes me super excited for the Dx Artisan series even more! 84 is a fantastic figure and for a great 2020 price before the markups we’ve been seeing something I tell everyone to grab

Great figure review. I would suggest backing up the camera here and there though, throughout the entire 30 min video, there wasn't a single full body shot.
Thank you for the feedback and the support. For my review my goal is to focusing on more of the details. I watched other reviews already that definitely did different style recordings that I did so I was just trying to do something different and really keep it tight and zoomed in on all of the details, that might’ve been missed on other reviews but I appreciate your feedback and support as always

Where did you order this from? I ordered mine though Pop Collectibles although on their facebook they said shipping in batches some will wait longer than others, its sweet to see this review.

I have to say it's very cool, for the price .. questionable!...The only issue is the rooted/ not rooted hair..over time it's going to let go and go crazy...
Thanks for the comment, I opted to leave mine pretty much as is. I intend on doing a 30/60/90 day follow up on the figure and see how the hair has changed over that period and will continue to document it until something happens and post a video as a follow up.
@mr.momcollectibles my opinion..micro cut the frilley bit's and leave.....not worth the stress...!!to early to start rooted for buyers..
@@tessjess1 for me personally rooted never was a problem. I don’t see what the big deal is about it collectors have to understand there is going to be some maintenance overtime and nothing is ever perfect. Lol not even the little micro hair doesn’t bother me at all. I’m perfectly fine with the way that the figure is and a little bit of adjusting will hide all that anyway lol
