You can see Chris was really grateful for the old ladies kindness when he takes a pause at the end while everyone is still enjoying the hilarity and he just thinks about how hard it was and how fortunate he is. I just love him as a human being

In a pub-restaurant I used to work in, chips were a major seller (we weren't a fast food restaurant, but it's a pub, there are a lot of chips). Anyway, they were cooked in huge batches and just left in a tray under a hot lamp so they could be served pretty quick. I was doing an evening shift and had forgotten to eat before I came out so I was basically running on a sandwich I'd eaten 6 hours previously. Every time I brought dirty dishes back, I'd snag a chip or two. On one of these occasions, the chef/manageress' husband saw me and I immediately went "I haven't eaten since lunchtime". He gave a look at the standing orders, tipped the rest of the chips into a large bowl and went "Grab some salt and ketchup and eat them in the back. You've got five minutes. Don't tell Sara [his wife]." I was so happy there was almost a full tray left. He's such a nice guy.

The guy was a damn door to door coupon salesman and got his own office at 19 I think in basically what was a pyramid scheme. You can't make that shite up.
I love stories like these - as a reminder for people that probably around 99% of all L.A. actors live like that. Not many people can actually live from acting and only a select few get rich from it. The rest does it for a few months, goes broke and quits
