I have just finished watching you back log of video. Some were very informational on whisk(e)y. Some not so much but very entertaining. I am surprised Daniel been arrested for giving alcohol to minors seeing that Rex is about 5 years old mentality was. LOL. I bought my first bottle of whisky every Dewar's 12 thank!! Three week ago. To me is a newbie it was very strong! It took my breath away. I couldn't find any tasting notes are smells but then again I'm a heavy smoker I don't know if that does anything but from what you guys said it does. Thank you!!!
They have a very small release, sold out quickly, of Balboa Rye. That's an heirloom strand of Rye and it is FABULOUS. If you can find it, I suggest it.
I nearly missed the addition of Whistle Pig to the wall in a recent episode! Maybe in future episodes where an addition is made, place a little teaser in the title or something that tips a hat toward the update. Cheers, and keep up the magnificent work!
On the topic of what new distilleries do when their whisky isn't yet three years old, Spirit of Yorkshire in the North of England released six different "Maturing Malt" spirits, ranging from about 12-30 months old. They don't do sourcing, vodka or gin and the baby malts are a really good way of getting people to taste what's to come. They sold very well over here.
sprattbooks Lots of options, to taste, but I have actually used Benchmark for this will great results. Sweet, bourbony, vanilla, without too much to dwell on. And cheap. Nog on.
I think the top ten cold weather whiskeys from the tribe channel translate well to eggnog. I’d go with Elijah Craig barrel proof. I don’t know about you but I can only drink so much nog, might as well go with something strong
@@calebj1442 I do agree with you on making it strong, but I go with Knob Creek SB. Cheaper and more available. Staying with the brand, and I'm not into flavored whiskeys, but KC Smoked Maple is good for the more casual drinker. Still has some bite, and actually tastes like flavored whiskey, not whiskey flavored syrup.

I had a bottle of this a few months ago and to be honest I hated it. But I think it's because I'm new to whiskey tasting, im sure in a few years I'd enjoy it

One of my favorite ryes but it is super strong and punches you in the mouth which I love.

Gary Daily Rye is to my liking also. Got Wilderness Trail SB Rye (118 proof), hits a big rye note at the end.
I miss the opening theme music from the old vault. Other that, I like the new vault.
