Km9
Km3 has more storage. 64gb vs 32gb. Otherwise they are identical inside. Both run amlogic s905x2 with 4gb ddr4. Both 64bit chip running in 32bit mode. Same remote. Same plug configuration.
Only difference is storage space

Via USB yes it will work. SD cards up to 64GB
Any idea when such firmware will be available. My other unit operating Android v7.1 has none of these problems. I see all sorts of articles like "How to root Mecool KM3 without PC" but can't get them to work. Thanks
They will not work I have been at it for years, never succeeded. There is no firmware to root this box.

Si el KM2 el que esta certificado con Netflix ESN. El KM7 es el último modelo pero no tiene el ESN de Netflix. Otros servicios como Amazon Prime, Disney+ y HBO Max funcionarán en HD/4K. Sin embargo, Netflix solo se mostrará en 480p.

I bought this mecool km3 whenever I watch anything on Prime Video and exit from Prime Video I can not hear any sound on other apps Movies HD, Kodi, TH-cam, Live Tv, USB videos the only fix I do to restart the box. Yes you can, you have to sideload them with APK file all apps will work most you have to sideload.

I got km3 yesterday. Bad wifi internet speed ,around 5 mbps from upstairs directly above router. Is there any way of fixing? The box was literally 10ft away! Im ready to send back for a95x max??.

I don't get why they only support 32bit applications when the hardware can do 64 bit apps. Do you know why ?
Good question. This is so because there is something in the hardware that doesn't support that mode, or else they would have done it already.

Could I make a suggestion could you please use a resource monitor whilst doing your reviews all I'm really interested in is the thermals Powerful monitor is a good app just enabled apps that draw over other apps so it can be desplayed while you do your work. Hi Kevin during the review my CPU temp app will not run on this box for whatever reason, sorry about that.
Do you know what is the meaning of the front led flashing in green colour? Amongst of the different possible colours, the green one is not documented.
They programmed the LED to react to different activities on the box. I saw it turn green a couple times but never paid attention to what it responded to. So you have to monitor what state the box is in when it turns green. It could idle mode, updates in the background, or even heavy internal disc activity.
Thank for your answer. I noticed that the led is continuously flashing in green after the installation of an app called « onscreenclock » which displays the time in one corner of the screen.
Great video! I bought this tv box but is very limited, i cant install all apps that i want. When i go in the Google Store and i search my favorite apps, mostly not appear.(for example Prime Video and much others...). Someone have the same problem? Thankyou.
That is going to happen because the box is running on Android TV and not the full Android version. You have to download your app in APK format onto a flash-drive, insert it into the box, using the file browser on the box browse to the file and install it.

Install the app called Airscreen from the Google Play Store, install Miracast on Your Phone and it is as easy as that.
Download APK onto flash drive if not found on the Android TV Google Play Store

That runs Android TV OS not the full mobile version of Android. So there is no navigation bar or top bar. Everything is in the settings area.
You should really take a look at the KM9 Pro.. it's better than the Mi box S... far budget boxes go it's up there with the T95Q

Great video as always. 100Mbps Ethernet means the wifi and direct connection will be weak, It needs to be 1000mbps and ac, deal breaker.
100mbps is the max speed of my internet so it would be fine for me
No that would be 100MB speed you have, not mbps. 100 mbps capacity, gives you a limit of around 30MB download speed.
Right I got confused. I have about 16 boxes with 100mb (other models) and the internet completely sucks, I cant get rid of them and nobody wants to buy them. On the other hand my 1000mb boxes have excellent internet. I expected this box have the 1000 so im disappointed.
Can you guys do some research and tell me what internet download speed are you paying for and how much download speed is your box bringing in buy running a speedtest within the box. Thanks.

Yes the 2.4Ghz band and the LAN has lower bandwidth speed. The 5GHz is to only band that has max speed

If you have a good Internet package like 40MB and over it will work normal and you won't even notice. Because the reduction is only a percentage of the max speed. So if you have let's say 100MB Internet bandwidth, then you would achieve about 30 -50MB download depending on the limit of the 2.4GHz band. Investing in a dual band router also helps, you can use the 5GHz band and get max speed.

It does not work well, certain functions are not working on all S905X2 boxes. Use ADW launcher 2

Yes it is no dongle needed
Can it read 2tb ntfs hard disk out of box?
Some boxes are picky when it comes the drive formats exfat format gives some issues but FAT32 NYFS reads OK

The Mi box is Netflix certified, and the KM3 is not. That's the difference, and the KM3 has better hardware.

@@bangunnegeri9800 If I could get Android 9 to run on the H96 Max Rk3399 I would go with it. However, the H96 Max Rk3399 is a boiler and requires a cooling fan to keep it stable. So models like the CSA96, Cloud NetGo CR19, and RKM Mk39 were better models with better heat management.

Not sure in 4K but I got it in HD
Was you able to install in App Store or side loader it?
I could not get it in the Google Play store, so I sideloaded it from the Aptoide store

TV Box Stop I am going to wait then for this box. I really want it but prime video is a must and I want that from app store or preloaded officially. Mecool needs that if they want to sell any. A shame. Very nice box spec wise.

You will not get that on Android TV OS. However, there's a new Android TV OS coming out soon that they have promised to change a lot of things. So let's see what they include in this new platform
