I love that you two are a perfect balance for each other. When Niko saw you becoming overwhelmed, she chimed in and allowed you to cool off- and when you saw Niko speaking about things that are hard to talk about- you looked at her with such support and love. It’s hard to find your other half in this life, I’m glad you’ve found yours.

PLEASE continue these Days of Our Wives talks, especially with the honesty talk about things not necessarily going that well. As a person who struggles with depression, I sometimes feel so alone. Your vlogs, and the relationship you two have, always put a smile on my face and make me feel so much better.

ALB is a vision, serving me Morticia's good cousin that secretly kidnaps children to make her Pumpkin sweets, while Niko is serving me ALB's financer and secretary that catalogs maticulously every children she kidnaped and assign them tasks.

I love the concept of "anger casseroles," it really is an oddly accurate way to describe those negative feelings we lock away. Also your tips on the importance of saying sorry and not instantly getting defensive - I feel that I struggle with that, so I really appreciate kind of discussing that. I love these videos so much, the way you communicate and the things you talk about is both entertaining and very.. healthy? Productive? And that's just nice to have. I don't know what the word I'm thinking of is, but I look forward to whenever you may release another video for this series !

Thank you for the video this week. ❤️ This June my Mom was rushed to the ER and ended up spending 55 days in the ICU. She is still in the hospital and every improvement seems to bring two steps back. It's unlikely she will get better. It's so hard to focus on life sometimes, and I really appreciated this week's episode. It's so hard to open up sometimes, but it can be so worth it.

People really underestimate the power of apologizing when you don't believe you're in the wrong. The best way I have seen it put is "You don't get to decide that you didn't hurt that person." Feeling invalidated is the absolute worst.

I think "Don't go to bed angry" should be changed to "Don't go to bed without letting your partner know s/he is loved"... Because sometimes it really is better to say, "Look, I'm still really mad, but I need to get some sleep so I can come at this with a clear head and arguing at 3am when we're both exhausted and shitty is getting us nowhere, so let's table this until we've had some rest. I love you, and I'm sorry you're hurting and that somehow I caused it. Your feelings matter to me. I'm not going anywhere. I hear you. But please, let's do this tomorrow." By forcing a resolution when we're too tired and stubborn to humble ourselves, our relationship sometimes suffered because the peace was fragile and often fake. I think it's okay to go to bed mad. But it's never okay to go to bed full of hate, or feeling unloved. Making that concession and changing how we argue really saved our marriage. Hope this advice helps others.

Thank you so much for this. My father was sick over the past few days - we actually spent a week in hospital, and quite like your experience, I went through a slight depressive episode, where I couldn't cope or do what I normally do. It impacted my work, my energy levels.. everything. Listening to this, gave me so much hope. I love you both and a speedy recovery to your dad! Fathers are strong in ways we don't realize - they'll be fine! :) Hugs. x

Thank you so much for this. I've had some serious issues going on in my life for about the last 6 months, and it's so hard to explain to people why functioning in real life is so hard sometimes. So much of my energy is spent trying to deal with the thing, and then the long list of "everyday things" is sometimes enough to push me into shut down mode. It's hard to take care of yourself when so many people are counting on you, but I'm trying so hard. Sending you all much hugs!!

Thank you so much for posting this. My father has also been very ill this year, and this weekend he passed away. I just got back from my family's home in another state, saw you posted, and wanted to watch this to unwind. It's already helped so much, because I feel like I can't adequately express the pain I'm experiencing to my friends, and I have to be strong for my other family members. I'm a little worried about going back to "normal life", because I'm still having trouble functioning (it takes me hours and hours to respond to texts currently because formulating responses takes so much brain power). But this video really gave me hope that things are going to be okay. I hope your dad continues to do better and things get better for you two, too. Thank you again.

I appreciate the candor of this video, it is refreshing when so much of social media is carefully curated and often disingenuous. Also, that dark lipstick is amazing, secondly Niko seems like a wonderful person to talk to about deep or sad topics and I love how you guys balance each other out!

I appreciate the conversation on dealing with family illness and wish you and your family the best. I have a tight family but at this point in time I am the only one that lives near my aging parents, so when anything happens I am the one reporting from the hospital. I am glad that I am here but at the same time the level of stress that comes with it is so overwhelming at times that I can't even process it so I continue on as normal which is not healthy. I am working to allow myself time to freak out and recognize that its ok to ask for help rather then going into " Robo Cop" mode which is my default when ish hits the fan.

I felt personally called out on some of this stuff, but this was a good video and stuff I need to hear and remind myself about. Also, as a fellow late-learner in driving, it is scary at first but it is doable. I have had my license for just over a year now and I'll be 29 in about two weeks. For me, it just took a lot of constant practice and a couple of out-of-town trips to get comfortable. You can do it, ALB :)

I love this series and I empathize deeply with your family situation, y’all. I have perpetual trauma this time of year out of fear my dad is gonna get pneumonia again. He’s a jerk but he’s MY jerk and I a, terrified of him being sick again.
ADDITIONALLY, I feel ya on the therapy thing. I’ve had the very American experience of opening up only to lose my therapist again and again so I just don’t anymore. I play video games that let me create them destroy things to cope.
And Angelina, a tip for you: immediately after applying the lipstick, stick your finger in your mouth and pull it out while pursing your lips like you have a straw in your mouth. Clears the color from the area which touches your teeth.
