This drumline for me is bringing back emotions from when I was a teen just getting into DCI. I've been involved in the activity as a participant and educator for over 10 years, and plenty of groups have impressed me, but this specific line has a truly special sound and vibe. I haven't enjoyed watching a line this much, literally ever.
Most advanced stuff we’ve seen? I feel like books have more or less been built on the same vocabulary since maybe the late 90s, while the body work has become the added demand. This stuff right here is pushing beyond what I think we’ve ever seen human hands asked to do, at least in the collective sense…. The body, speed, vocabulary, clarity, and extended phrase format, are beyond anything we’ve seen IMO. Speechless.
Jesus Christ. If I have to pick my fave lick, it's the six counts at 4:00....this is ALL bonkers!! I am truly speechless. Congrats to all involved, and THANK YOU for being such an inspiration.
I recorded a video of them two weeks ago and I'm amazed at how they all use the velocity stroke to not only project their drums at all dynamics, but fit in some crazy rudiment combinations inside of their book as well that play off each other to maximum effect! Hoping to record them again right before Allentown! 👏😎
These folks are truly exceptional and this is an absolute pleasure to watch. So cool to be able to see this on TH-cam, especially since I'm unable to see in person this year. Go BC!
so how do these guys manage to play on the field without Collin Mcnutter out ther conducting their every move??? and for my brothers on quads, there’s an exercises called triplet diddle but it doesn’t matter if the first note isn’t together
Bro it's mid July, not finals night. They're disgustingly clean right now for what time of the season it is and for the kind of book they're playing. Anyone who doesn't think they have a legitimate shot at the Sanford this year is just lying to themselves at this point.
@@dbznarutofanatic Or they just don't have an ear for this type of thing... I played quads with phantom back in the rennick days and I KNOW they have a shot at Sanford this year. Dudes are playing some serious book with some serious balls.
Absolute dawgs.
Dude idk what has happened the last two seasons but BAC has discovered the secret sauce of being an absolutely goated drumline
that colin mcnutt effect
McNutt left cadets for them in 2017. From then on boston took the torch imo. Cadets are still cracked though.

It’s extra cool that Colin is now writing for the corps where he got his start marching.
0:08 omfg that was possibly the best bass split I've ever heard in my entire damn life.... holyyyyy balls
My favorite book this year, no question. Very well executed too.
I was standing right behind you. These guys are killing it this year
Excellent writing. Finally a line that sets themself apart.

Best line of 2022. Hands down.

This is by far the best execution of any battery I have seen this year PERIOD. Excellent....Excellent....Excellent!!!!
What the hell did I just watch? That was the some of cleanest and tightest ensemble playing I’ve ever seen. No dirt AT. ALL.
Just sick.

That bass line is so good they could mess up and I would still think it's correct. The whole is amazing.
I hope they win drums this year

3:35 on made me physically excited and I have no problem admitting it.
AOOOOOGUHHHHHHH. My dogs are BARKIN
Are we just not going to acknowledge the first bass opening statement? I think I’ve watched just that first split 10 times now.
Absolutely killin it, what a run.
This is the most technically demanding book ever. Plus it’s clean af.
COVID made me miss McNutt ram beats the more I listen to this line.

YEP! There it is...
Visually satisfying, as well, I must say. Very clean IMO
I never fully understood the term "Flam Drag Fighter Pilot" (from Tapspace Publications) until just now!
This corps really put themselves on the map in 2017 and have only been improving since!
I'm beginning to think they might win drums this year. Nice
