I do have to say. Demons have slipped into legend. The slayer corps. are basscially a private militia funded by a rich dude and his family (Ubuyashiki). Outside of family conection (and hashira drop like flies so that is very rare) the only way to really become a slayer is getting to know demons by having the demon kill a close person to them.
Sure, but the point is less “every character backstory has a reason for the character to hate demons” it’s that everyone’s reason is the same. Thinking out of the box is how you make interesting backstories, restraining creativity in the way you laid out is just simply bad writing.

Zenitsu, inosuke, the love, snake, and water hashira, Tengen, rengoku, all have unique and different backstories. I think it’s just that the last few backstories have been mostly similar that makes it feel that way

With demon slayer backstories youre forgetting that Rengoku was raised in a family of demon slayers having previous hashira as a father, Mitsuri didnt have family slaughter thing but problems with her identity finding eventually that she fits perfect among demon slayer, Obanai also has different story that includes his unique look and Shinobu backstory is that she was already part of demon slayers with her sis but she got killed by a powerful demon so in conclusion not every demon slayer backstory is the same its just so happen that in a world with demons walking around its very likely youll get attacked by one and get your close ones killed cause of the gap in power and its mostly survivors of such events wants to persude being demon slayer cause it makes much more sense then a random Joe who doesnt even belive demons exist

Ok in order. Rengoku and shinobu both have backstories where they were already demon slayers before any kind of tragedy happened. Tengen was a ninja and his backstory involves no demons whatsoever. Mitsuri just joined to find a strong husband. Zenitsu joined becuase he had debts his grants payed off and inosuke joined to prove his strength. Young butterfly girl joined becuase her parents were gonna sell her into slavery and shinobu and her sister saved her. As for your “I think this is the best way to serve my country” idea as you’ve definitely forgotten the demon slayer corps is not affiliated with the government. Most people don’t believe in demons and the corps activities are entirely illegal so no that soldier guy isn’t gonna join becuase he doesn’t know about it.

I don’t mind this season of Demon Slayer more so because knowing what I know about this next arc, this is very much the calm before the storm so I don’t mind them taking a breath before shit hits the fan.
I absolutely love HxH and it has the best power system I've seen in anime. It's world building doesn't even come close to One piece. You named countries and governments and all this about HxH and you can't tell me a single detail about any of it. We saw meteor city for like one chapter, we never learned a single thing about the politics/leaders of the countries and world, and we didn't even learn the little info we have about the hunter association until the last few episodes/chapters of the main story that's finished.

I’ll help Danny out. Each demon slayer with a quirk is just a play on random ppl with insane super human sense. Zenitsu also has a sleeping disorder. Tanjiro grew up on a mountain full of fresh air and was training to do the sun dance his dad does heightened his senses. His smell is useless when there is smoke or something effecting it. Love hashira is a play on bigger women hence why she’s strong. The list can go on. Knowing the author he had ppl he knew or grew up around that had these quirks Yeah Danny needs to go rewatch the first season of aot again it doesn’t take Eren 8 episodes to be a titan and he also didn’t know he was one. I need Danny and Nick to watch viral hit together it’s so good. Nick Nick Nick no dragon ball don’t have the best transformations but it’s in the top tier though. Ssj3 and ssj4 Fusion/ frieza/ cell / buu / janemba/ moro all cool transformations
The way Danny laughs over Nick's "SIT DOWN" bit reminds me of this one time I was bringing my friend to work. We were coming off an exit from.the highway, and the shoulder was marked off for some city crew. I was taking the exit at normal speed cause there wasnt any reason not to. Regarding blitz and stolas' relationship, it's his grimoire he needs to fulfill his responsibilities as a prince. He doesn't owe it or anything else to blitz (who broke in to steal it) so using it to bargain isn't scandalous.

The 5 main characters of demon slayer are based off of the 5 senses, it’s just because of that that the weird quirks exist as long as you ignore the zenitsu sleep thing Tanjiro - smell Zenitsu - hearing Inosuke - touch (vibrations in the ground give him pinpoint accurate detection ability) Genya - taste (eats the demons) Kanao - sight (yet to be explained, but is revealed during infinity castle)
100 years quest is a sequel series to fairy tail, so y’all prob wouldn’t want to watch it unless you see the original. Not saying you wouldn’t enjoy it, but it expects you to know characters and powers and arcs that happened in the original. A lot of the last arc is referenced in 100?years quest. There’s 2.5 filler arcs in the original and a bunch of stand alone episodes that are a mix of annime-only and special chapters from the manga (and the stand alone are all great). The farting villains are in a filler arc, but they were originally from the Rave Master manga. I won’t say the show isn’t horny, but it’s not too bad in the beginning, and the 2nd movie (which is what Danny keeps referencing) is definitely some of the more egregious horny moments (along with the OVAs).
This is consistently the one podcast I keep up with. And the ONLY one that has had me laughing so hard that I have to pull off to the side of the road to breathe. Please keep up the good work guys and here's to MANY more episodes!!
The naming convention of Kaiju No. 8 is killing me. Why don't the strongest kaiju of all time and their weapons have actual names or atleast code names used by the force or the civilian population. Like how did they decided on the numbers to the Daikaiju when there were only two? Were they only called No. 1 and 2 after like the next 3 Daikaiju appeared?

one piece spoiler: Nick, going back to what you said about the hunterxhunter world being more expansive than the one piece world was right until like 2 weeks ago when oda revealed that the entire one piece world as we’ve know it for the past 1100 chapters is literally just the tip of the iceberg because the world was purposely flooded during the void century 800-900 years ago during which the sea level rose 200meters wiping out most of the population and leaving only small islands to be inhabited
I DON'T THINK MHA IS ABOUT THE POWER OF FRIENDSHIP!! IT'S THAT TEAMS TOGETHER ARE MORE POWERFUL THAN A SINGULAR NUMBER ONE HERO. WORKING TOGETHER IS MORE POWERFUL THAN WORKING ALONE. Friendship can be a part of that but it doesn't have to be. Endeavor was so determined to be the best, but he wasn't the one to defeat the big bad villain in ANY scenario

How I'd change this season of Demon Slayer - EP 1 - Just add in a scene of Iguro & Sanemi telling other Hashira that the demon they chased got away in a weird way EP 2 is perfect EP 3 - I'd give more focus on the other regular slayers backing up Tanjiro - I'd also include Muichiro training this episode (Remove that entire airplane scene) EP 4 - Put emphasis on The Hashira and that side of their training - We'll see unique matchups and personality clashes (We'll actually get more Hashira - I mean for crying out loud the arc is named after them so give them an entire episode) Fuck that shit pissed me all the way off EP 5 - More emphasis on Mitsuri this episode (Her training and her relationship with Iguro) Sanemi section of episode can stay the same with lil more focus on Sanemi as a character EP 6 - We can focus on Stone Hashira as a leader along with his training - he is the "Gentle" one - Have him give the Hashira a break one night instead of fighting each other - This could be the episode where Muichiro kid side gets explored - Mitsuri and her food side - I'd also move that red bean paste scene to this episode 😂 EP 7 - Half the episode can focus on Gyomei backstory with a quick scene of Zenitsu - The rest of episode can focus on Shinobu training her student (Give her some fucking happiness with her student and more development) - lastly we'll see Tanjiro talk to dude about Sanemi before that scene is cut off by Sanemi destroying the eye and rest of the episode can play out lol (Really gave Muzan a 4-5 minute walking scene)

I will forever stand by my opinion that Fairy Tail has some of if not the BEST written female characters in an action shonen anime. I'm not talking about how strong or 'useful' they are in fights but how they are written with very different and engaging personalities. I honestly find the female characters in Fairy Tail better written than the male characters at times. Yes the fan service gets annoying BUT the fan service impacts the male characters too! I feel like everyone forgets that Fairy Tail has one of its main characters, who is the brooding dark haired rival to the protagonist, have a habit where he unconsciously takes his clothes off but yes let's keep hating on Fairy Tail because Lucy has big boobs.

I absolutely love HxH and it has the best power system I've seen in anime. It's world building doesn't even come close to One piece. You named countries and governments and all this about HxH and you can't tell me a single detail about any of it. We saw meteor city for like one chapter, we never learned a single thing about the politics/leaders of the countries and world, and we didn't even learn the little info we have about the hunter association until the last few episodes/chapters of the main story that's finished.
I'd say they're equal, OP just has 700 more chapters of development. Both series' expand our knowledge of the world in each arc.
@@jtom416 the first 400 chapters of one piece world building and HxH aren't even comparable. There's history about the entire world, government, war, politics and more. HxH you can barely explain to someone outside of the main story how the world operates.

Hxh just handles such things more mature as it’s not spelled out. It reminds me how people claim bleach has no plot or character in Ichigo when it’s not true. One piece is great but has way more time to do things as fans have started to be sycophants that think everything is perfect. 🤩 easy to worldbuilding when your world is random islands. Star Trek visiting random worlds can do that too. And does. Also hxh has strengths that lie in the way it wants to tell its story. Feels like how when frieren came out people claimed all fiction should be written that way shonen wise when it doesn’t fit all stories. It’s like at some point fairy tail was praised now people hate it. Jjk having low plot armor (hate that word but simpler to explain) now people describe basically wanting a more fairy tail like story since they hate the struggle and losing so often. Can’t win. One piece is like Mario games in that people always love it and other series are sonic. Changing a lot trying to recapture a group that hates them and is only nostalgic about different stuff so and closed off so no one is ever happy. Or Star Wars fans who hate anything Star Wars post Thier childhood.

Love hashira is a play on bigger women hence why she’s strong.

Regarding blitz and stolas' relationship, it's his grimoire he needs to fulfill his responsibilities as a prince. He doesn't owe it or anything else to blitz (who broke in to steal it) so using it to bargain isn't scandalous.

The reason Verosika hates Blitz so much is that when she eventually told him that she loved him, he ran away, stole her car and drove to the Wrath Ring, maxed her credit cards to pay for horse riding lessons, and left Verosika to pay for the hotel room they'd shared. Then treated her like a villainess for being upset with him.
He didn't "just ghost her" or commit a "normal relationship faux pas" he _hurt_ her.

100 years quest is a sequel series to fairy tail, so y’all prob wouldn’t want to watch it unless you see the original. Not saying you wouldn’t enjoy it, but it expects you to know characters and powers and arcs that happened in the original. A lot of the last arc is referenced in 100?years quest.
There’s 2.5 filler arcs in the original and a bunch of stand alone episodes that are a mix of annime-only and special chapters from the manga (and the stand alone are all great). The farting villains are in a filler arc, but they were originally from the Rave Master manga.
I won’t say the show isn’t horny, but it’s not too bad in the beginning, and the 2nd movie (which is what Danny keeps referencing) is definitely some of the more egregious horny moments (along with the OVAs).

Tanjiro, shinobu/ kanao, iguro, sanemi/ Kenya, gyomei and I'm sure there are others all have similar backstories. Also, their point was that the writer should've dug deeper for most of their backstory because we know next to nothing about most of them.

How I'd change this season of Demon Slayer - EP 1 - Just add in a scene of Iguro & Sanemi telling other Hashira that the demon they chased got away in a weird way
EP 2 is perfect
EP 3 - I'd give more focus on the other regular slayers backing up Tanjiro - I'd also include Muichiro training this episode (Remove that entire airplane scene)
EP 4 - Put emphasis on The Hashira and that side of their training - We'll see unique matchups and personality clashes (We'll actually get more Hashira - I mean for crying out loud the arc is named after them so give them an entire episode) Fuck that shit pissed me all the way off
EP 5 - More emphasis on Mitsuri this episode (Her training and her relationship with Iguro) Sanemi section of episode can stay the same with lil more focus on Sanemi as a character
EP 6 - We can focus on Stone Hashira as a leader along with his training - he is the "Gentle" one - Have him give the Hashira a break one night instead of fighting each other - This could be the episode where Muichiro kid side gets explored - Mitsuri and her food side - I'd also move that red bean paste scene to this episode 😂
EP 7 - Half the episode can focus on Gyomei backstory with a quick scene of Zenitsu - The rest of episode can focus on Shinobu training her student (Give her some fucking happiness with her student and more development) - lastly we'll see Tanjiro talk to dude about Sanemi before that scene is cut off by Sanemi destroying the eye and rest of the episode can play out lol (Really gave Muzan a 4-5 minute walking scene)

Fairytale transformations are amazing
I will forever stand by my opinion that Fairy Tail has some of if not the BEST written female characters in an action shonen anime. I'm not talking about how strong or 'useful' they are in fights but how they are written with very different and engaging personalities. I honestly find the female characters in Fairy Tail better written than the male characters at times. Yes the fan service gets annoying BUT the fan service impacts the male characters too! I feel like everyone forgets that Fairy Tail has one of its main characters, who is the brooding dark haired rival to the protagonist, have a habit where he unconsciously takes his clothes off but yes let's keep hating on Fairy Tail because Lucy has big boobs.
Gachiakuta is really good my fav manga out. The author is the same person that worked with the soul eater author as an assistant

The new One Piece anime they have planned will probably be one of the biggest things after the current anime are done. If they use the animation quality that they are currently using then it will at lest be nice to look at as a non One Piece fan.

Fairy Tail is not porn, they just do way too much fan service with Lucy and then that one unnecessary challenge in the Grand Magic Games which was basically a beauty pageant for like 10 minutes. The story itself is pretty good, the moments are huge, the fights are solid. Personally its one of my favourite animes but i understand that objectively its probably like a 7.5/10. People just get so annoyed by Livy fan service they act like Danny and call it porn and other nonsense

It's a giant world that looks really cool and would improve HxH worldbuilding by alot but we all know we're never going to explore it because Togashi is never going to make it to the dark continent
I do really hope the ship arc is going to finish soon. I like the disaster unfolding, but I hope the Dark Continent will actually appear.
