I lived in Nairobi city for 7years as a refugee,30 years later am still a refugee and have lived in two countries there after! What i can say there are no people like kenyans when it comes to humanity! God bless kenya!
AMEN
Thanks
Amen! Thank youLfor you comment
Wow,Amen and welcome back to Kenya,we love people.
Be blessed for your compliment on us🇰🇪🥰
Did Selim ever think of how his day was going to end in such a profoundly touching way by meeting a stranger in the street? An act of kindness paid by an act of kindness. Such a touching video. That is the essence of humanity Gabi.
True.. be nice to people around you for you dont know whether they will end up being what you've asked God for...Lots of Love from Germany
@@estherkosick4700 Very true
@@estherkosick4700 very true
Selim offered you the coffee he had, at the khat shop they gave you the fried potatoes as a welcoming gesture. With the little they had, they went out their way to make you feel at home. That's Kenyan hospitality right there
Please he's kind
I wish to have his contact maybe I'll use him as my tour guide in Kenya
I love him,,, from 🇹🇿
Majority of Kenyans are like this.friendly and won't ignore you, that's kenya najivunia
Yes better than Tanzanians
If you find him , I’d also love to buy him a bed for his daughter .
I am visiting Kenya in July and would like to hire him as a guide.
Please provide his contact information.
It was great to meet Selim! He is such a genuine person, a reliable guide in a city like Nairobi! The video was moving! Selim's excitement to enter the Pronto Restaurant almost made me cry! We just have to remember and be grateful every day for how fortunate we are in comparison to those who live in such conditions! And I was even more moved by your gesture of going grocery shopping and purchasing a cell phone for Selim, which can open up a whole new world for him. Thank you Gabi 🙏
Next video show how people live in CAVES at SASSI DI MATERA Italy like wild animals .Not to forget avideo how Italians introduced DRUGS to Kenya.
Gabi did a very good job
And that's how God connects us with our destiny holders
I almost 😢when Salim couldn’t believe he was going to dine in a fancy restaurant. As a Kenyan who’s been fortunate enough to live on the other side town, it made me feel like my troubles are nothing compared to what the likes of Salim have to contend with every single day. Thanks for sharing
That was so touching and it humbled me as a Kenyan..God bless Salim and you for what my country man 🎉be blessed
How can I support the brother in this video?
As Salim was going to pray, God sent an Angel to him who changed his life in a way. Acts of kindness and faith in God for Salim have rewarded him.
God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. His love is constant and His mercies are new every morning.
Gabi, God bless you abundantly. You are amazing. God protect you always and be with you everywhere you go all the days if your life.
Selim is the central theme of this video. Although I love to see more of Nairobi, but Selim captivated my attention of what a humble human being he is.
May God bless him.
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
In Nairobi we still have young and honesty people like Salim. God bless him and you too
This is a very touching story, and thanks for the exposure to the slum life. Being a Kenyan, I know how challenging his life could be in the slums, yet he has a family. How can I support Brother Salim? Please share his contact with me. I will help him with some groceries and shopping for his family. God bless you Gabi
Can you share his info with me if you got it.. I will also like to send Salim some money from the US
Yes! Very heartfelt! I can I help Salim?Plz send info
I am not able to share info here. Dont know why@@user-zt3de3zl7s
You are an amazing person, and your travel vlogs are just the best. No pretence, no overproduction, just a real and calming vibe. Bless you and Salim and his family!
Today, I learned that it's not just about how much a person has but rather what they do with what they have that truly matters. Gabi, you possess a uniquely generous heart. Your actions towards Salim served as a powerful reminder to him that there are still good people in this world and that there is still hope for a better tomorrow.
Serendipity? Glad you met Salem. I know you will remember the meeting. Hope you keep in touch, and give him hope. That smart phone might be a break for him. You did well.
They guy keep on smiling despite all the hardship he has to face everyday. May God see him through
Salim is the star of this video.. i watched it without skipping. It must have been heartwarming to meet such a kind person.
You are a Legend Gabi! ❤️ Don’t forget to share Salims contact info so we can reach him when visiting Nairobi! Be safe and safe travels!
Legend in the making! Yeah would be cool to meet him one day if I travel to Kenya!
This is Salim e-mail: kithinjisamuel02@gmail.com
Thank you for being an angel to Salim
Welcome to Nairobi 🙏
You should get started posting videos again williamseef! Saw some good content on your channel!
Gabi, you reminded us how lucky we are to live in comfort and how some people's lives are so tough. Your video was incredibly touching and you are a truly inspirational person. Don't underestimate the power of your videos. God bless, Craig and Mary, Canberra Australia
Yeah .We need to appreciate to the mighty God...and keep on praying ❤❤❤
Am Kenyan ...thanks for showcasing some positivity in our country,Salim u will go far....all are welcome in our country...salim will be your tour guide we vote for him
I always envy muslims for their dedication to Their god. He left Gabi to go and pray..how many christians can do that??!! Not many... maybe not evn one. Wow we should learn something i sure have.
Welcome to ISLAM
Thanks for what you did to my fellow country man Salim. That is the reality of what many Kenyans are going through but we belief that one day things are going to get better. That is also how I started my life.
While I commend Salim for his simplicity and humility I think the hero here is the visiting Guy Gabi I guess. The video is real, connecting and natural. It is also very emotional. Kudos to you.
He truly showcases a true kenyans kindness.
He is Somali man ❤❤❤
Bro what 😂😂 mawalantahay adiga @@sam_ft007

Salim gave us all a gift by inviting us into his home. What a wonderful young man. Asante sana Salim!
I have watched the video and as a Kenyan who knows what such kind of life means, I have literally shed tears. The rich and the poor are literally separated by a wall and not that most of the poor don't work but it is just because life is unfair. Another point to learn is that we should not be ready be hostile to any stranger we meet, you never know who you meet.
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
You handled Selim with respect and he was very honest. The difference between the ambience at pronto and his home homeliness is eye opening. The fact that in the end you provided a months grocery and a tool he can use to start careers is exemplary. Respecting his faith in God says a lot about you. I wonder how he will use his smartphone!
Exactly
OMG..it was very kind what you did to Salim, I felt like crying😭, so touching thank you and God bless. Many tourists go only to porche places but you, you did something different. Iam a kenyan also but Iam out of the country at the moment. Once again thank you
The best part was salam's sense of humour God bless our African leaders and get my people out of poverty
Just finished the video, Gabi. I thought it was going to be one of those dehumanising "poverty tourism" things but it is not. This was beautiful. I wish Salim all the best in life in these tough economic times and hope he can make it out of the slum one day.
Am a Kenyan living in Nairobi but i don't even know those places, but what you did for Selim the shopping, the lunch the phone😢,may God bless you coz it's really hard to live in Kenya,to him it's a big dream❤
You must be from the rich neighborhood
@@vkefa while acknowledging there are people living in the slums and life is quite tough in the current economy, for most people, we do not want to paint a picture that everybody lives in slums.
Recently i travel to Ethiopia and conditions of Addis Ababa is same like Nairobi. It's sad to see people still have to live like this. Thanks for helping Salim 🙏🏽
Poverty is worldwide. Slum areas in Africa, Asia, South America, ghettos in America. No place is immune. And the economy in most of the world isn't doing too welll right now.
@@freedommExactly I see people in America in the streets soo sad. I wish they had homes slums like in Africa
There is a documentary called zombies of america. Hope you have all watched it
But Addis is still safe for ‘Ferangis’, white people.
For the time being.
@@artisthusnatalal3099
Americans can't have slums like in Africa, they'd rather be homeless simply because they're not used to fend for themselves; and that goes for everything American: their dogs don't know how to hunt for their meals, their birds don't know how to build their nests, ....etc.
Who was watching the previous videos from India there was also Salim! You're lucky man to meet good people:)
This is the second time a man named 'Salim' has invited Gabi to his home! The other 'Salim' was walking with Gabi through the beautiful spice markets of Old Delhi in India! I will always remember the name 'Salim' in a pleasant light now. Haha.
Yes that’s true :)
That's my Arab grandpa's name. May he rest in peace.❤ THE NAME SALIM IN ARABIC MEANS...SAFE / UNDAMAGED 😊👍
One thing I noticed and can see from his neighbourhood and friends that all seems so happy and comfort. They really seems to appreciate life! One question is - what do need and don’t need here in life🤗
I live in Nairobi with my husband and I always buy my chickens from a local man in a slum just to help uplifting them. I told the man the same thing......"Do you all know each other? Because everyone who passes you he must greet you"!...I saw Love in the slums and was surprised ❤ In the city people can be mean🤨
@@artisthusnatalal3099loop
Quite a touching video Gabi!
This really reminds us of how little some people in the World have compared to us in the Western World, and how grateful we should be!
Salim was such a kind and thoughtful person that has such pride for his home. Your generosity will not go un-noticed…so sweet!
Although Salim and the other families are struggling just to live and eat, they still seem happy and very much a community that welcomes strangers with open arms. These things we need to see so thank you! ❤
Welcome to Kenya 🇰🇪
Even in the west, there are so many people living in poverty in the streets. Every country in the world has the reach, the middle, the poor and very poor.
Yes❤
You changed Salim's life! I am sure things will get better for him. I bet he didn't wake up thinking that he will meet a kind Italian YTer, and his life would change. Like Gabi said, he could learn a skill from YT or something and it will improve his life and chances of getting a job.
A lot of Kenyans are good kind friendly people. That is why Kenya is so special!
Kenya has a lot to offer with the many Game Reserves, the beautiful Lodges - one Lodge is built like a Massai Manyatta, you have the forests with Tree Tops hotel built in the trees, green highlands around Nairobi, to the Savanna's of Tsvo, to the beautiful white sandy beaches of the Swahili people and all the history of Fort Jesus.
And don't forget snow capped Mt Kenya on the equator, or views of Mt Kilimanjaro from Amboseli National Park.
The food is a mix of Indian, Arab, African, European etc.
But it will always be its kind, friendly people that is Kenya's greatest asset!
Wow. Always an eyeopener to see this kind of footage of a REAL human being and his VERY basic life. So much wealth in the world owned by such a few. If only it was spread more fairly. But Salim looks happy. Hopefully he is.
Thank-you for your help and support for that young man 🙏🏾❤
true
Selim was honest genius guy 👦
What a beautiful day you had with Salim! This video is so full of honesty and gratitude it made me feel grateful too. And so good that you bought him what you did. I was hoping you would buy him the groceries and the smart phone was so generous of you. You are right that giving respectfully is the best gift not only to the receiver but to yourself as well. 🙏
Gabi, you won my heart ❤️ very kind and humble, you helped Salim ❤ may god help you every time 😭❤️💕😊👍✌️ inshallah I will make sure I will donate to you for your kindness... 💕❤️🥰🤲
Gabi, you are a most amazing human. Truly a gem and created by the Almighty to serve humankind. I’ve been following you for some time and you are always smiling, always giving, always humble and make the most eye opening videos. May you be blessed with infinite happiness, prosperity and great health. You sure do know how to touch people’s hearts. God bless
God really bless you for what you did for this young man especially buying that phone for him. I really enjoyed your video
I'm touched by Salim's hospitality, some people are suffering but they hide, Thank God, Salim never hide his problems, he could've get that assistance , God bless you Sir 🙏
Oh Gabi , this video was extremely heartwarming , you showed such humility when sharing with Salim , we here is western countries cant even begin to comprehend the levels of extreme poverty and also day to day living there . they certainly have hard lives , and you were able to document it whilst still engaging with people. Your heart is very big , but also , you have this way of capturing the essence of the places you travel to .
we all think you are amazing .stay safe and keep your videos coming .
Salim is a true African, very welcoming and with an open big heart. Africa HAKUNA MATATA🤜🤛👍
Mad respect for what you did for Salim ❤
What is so extraordinary about meeting people in this way is that it is so ordinary. Two people meet, they talk, they have fun, they are kind to each other, they teach other, they learn. The world has always been this way but we are so used to thinking of the world as a place with only war and cruelty and bigotry that we forget that it also has common humanity.
Gabi, you are the best foreigner have ever mate. Salims story is very touching. May God keep blessing you.
I am glad you’re showing this. Everyone talks about the poverty in African nations but nobody dares to touch on how many billions France and England still collect from former colonies. We need more videos showing the goal of colonization- never ending poverty and dependence
Truly not all heroes wear a cape , awesome one Gabi 👏👏
Gabi... with each video we get to see what a generous and thoughtful human being you are, just amazing. My heart was pounding watching you trust Salim and walked through the narrow alleys of the slum. Then you sit in this tiny room with four strangers while getting out of the rain. We think of it as taking risks but you see through eyes trusting and caring for others, not many of us can do that, unfortunately. I just loved this video so much.
Be well and thak you, thank you for sharing your lifes journey, you enrich us all.
Rich
You prove that humanity still exists.
Thank God you met salim and you were able to share and exchange life with him. Breaks my heart how corrupt it is there.
But, you can definitely see the love and a massive sense of freedom the children have. Thank you for such an interesting visit ❤
Gabi, your video shows why people in the west, should be grateful for what they have…Salim’s story is very touching….❤️🇺🇸
He can also do Kenyans a favour and show the world how people live in the CAVES at SASSI DI MATERA his country ITALY.Not to forget show how Italians introduced DRUGS in Kenya
the west steals africas resources upto now. our presidents are appointed as managers by them
Thank you for sharing this honest video with everyone Gabi! I lived just outside of Nairobi Kenya for 4 years. What you experienced is the tip of the iceberg. Hope you get to go on at least one safari while you're there. Bless you!
Nairobi is just big energy .i love this place i call it the coolest place in Africa.
Lagos too and Addis are my favorites.

It's interesting to me how Gabi says he has social anxiety and yet he seems to connect so easily with people :)
Very true. I have social anxiety only in certain situations
By helping the deserving person, I am inspired by your good heart and emotions. I usually watch your whole video, but now I have decided to watch your whole and every video from start to end. What a nice man you are.
Wow Gabi what an incredible epic adventure ! it is overwhelming to see the very handsome young man sharing his living conditions with you after a great day with you, I would say it was a divine providence that you met and a good luck for you both.! Unbeatable deep looking inside a corrupt African state , a lot of poor but good hearthed people like Salim❤🙏Thy!
Watching you be so comfortable around so many people that didn't look like you was so beautiful. So many people who have problems associating with melanated people could learn so much from you! The story literally brought tears to my eyes and made me want to see where you go and your beautiful interactions with people. You are an Angel and a Blessing ❣️🥰

my dear human brother Gabi ❤🎉 . This is how we Muslims to show gratitude for your kindness and your kind deeds to my Muslim brother in Kenya. My heart wrenched when I see Selim’s home oh Gosh! I’ve never even seen something like that kind of living. The corruption in many African countries is something difficult for me to imagine it ( some are Islamic)
Oh lord we are so proud of you sir and be sure Kenya will say thankyou for being kind to their brother by subscribing in numbers starting with me martin.thanks once again and karibu kenya
What a fantastic serendipitous meeting for both of you!
I doubt Salim will ever forget you or the kindness and generosity you showed him - he’s probably never encountered anything quite like it in all his life. And lovely for you too, to spend the day with someone who opened up his life and home to a total stranger. 😊🇬🇧
I'm from Kenya Nairobi-Mombasa but currently working in Saudi Arabia the journey story was very touchable, but it's rear to get a humbled human being like Salim in Nairobi even Salim him self declared that some times you can be forced to steal in order to get something to eat. God bless You brother 🙏🙏🙏🙏 and Salim too.
Oh whow, What a culture shock. This was an eye-opener, humbling and a reality check to check myself and stop complaining but be more grateful for the privilegedI life I live. Thank you to Salema for inviting us to his home and life. Thank you Gabi. Great content brother. P.S. Yes you do look Indian and obviously Italian too😀
Woow I loved Salim's gesture. This is pure humanity
I can't stop watching your videos. I'm Kenyan and I love the way you move around with local people. You have a big heart.
Gabi you are such a humble human being! Thank you for all you do
You are a brave and kind soul Gabi. Honestly I would not be able to trust a stranger to show me Nairobi. Hopefully this video will open doors for Salim. Maybe he can be a local tour guide. He is honest and took good care of you.
God bless you on your travels and all the kind Souls that you meet.
He is indeed a good guy, you were lucky to have him, he really protected you from bad guys.
Great Gabi!! Every time I see your videos I realize how lucky we are, you show what the reality of these countries is like, you always demonstrate that you have a big heart. Thank you

Gabi, You are a noble man. You have seen Kenyans in what could be called 'low life' but yet the smiles and humbleness is evident. Remember the smiles. Good generous people , Kenyans. I have a lot of respect for you for being kind and you have met the kind of people we are. Say Hi to Salim, let him know 'tunakuskia msee, pamoja'!.
Yes. Kenyans are really kind, friendly and generous and they also admire and respect the same qualities in others.
I love how Happy Salim is, despite the kind of life he has.
