Dragonfly's DCS World 2.8 AV-8B Harrier Mission - Night Close Air Support (CAS)

Full nighttime DCS World Mission in the AV-8B Harrier from vertical takeoff at the FARP, followed by CAS with unguided rockets and a gun pod, then straight in battle damage landing to the Tarawa. Tutorial on nighttime operations in the Harrier using Night Vision Goggles (NVG) and the Forward Looking Infrared (FLIR) camera. Hope you enjoy the video!

Hey Dragonfly, loving your tutorials, slowly working my way through them, do you have the missions available for download? If not please could you link which of the misssion editor building tutorials relate to the mission fly through….ie, which mission you need to build to fly the mission…….thanks!

Hey, Mark. Thanks for the nice comment. Really like your idea of linking the mission building tutorials with the fly throughs. I will link them in the video description as soon as I research how to do that. ( Still pretty much a beginner on TH-cam, knowledge wise.) Right now the overall scenario is not available for download. The DCS World 2.8 version broke the Mark to Coalition trigger, which I used a lot. It doesn't affect the earlier missions, however, some of the latter ones it does. That trigger simulates the Automatic Target Handling System (ATHS) datalink from the F10 map. A workaround is to message the target coordinates via the Message to Coalition trigger in your missions and just build a waypoint using the Data OSB on the EHSD. Hope this helps!
