Definitely rabbit hole - look for all of their Acoustic versions... they are insane live and these are always amazing. Grace generally leads with Clyde doing some too, but the latest song they have (also has an acoustic version) of Guy I used to Be - is him all the way as the lead singer. This group is one you definitely should keep on checking out.
Hearing breaths is common in an acoustic performance. It makes it more raw and authentic.
I can say you'll have more fun if you continue to go down a Lawrence rabbit hole anything acoustic/acoustic-ish youll love. Also it is a brother sister band with 6 other instrumentalists that make up the band Lawrence. If you want to hear more of Clyde singing they're newest acoustic-ish video "guy I used to be" is a great performance that show cases his singing more. Great reaction hope you enjoy if you do go down the Lawrence rabbit hole theyre such a fun group.

This isn’t to knock or troll you ladies, but I don’t understand why I see the word “lose” spelled “loose” absolutely every where I look! It’s wild! It almost feels like it’s a meme I don’t know about or something. Anyone else noticing this?!

You guys need to listen to "23" acousticish, and/or "I'm confident I'm insecure" acousticish, and if you want more Clyde focused one "the guy I used to be" regular or acousticish is great!! But everything by them are great
Love this group! My other favs are “I’m Confident I’m Insecure” and “Do you wanna do nothing with me?”
The breathing is deliberate...it's live and acoustic and it fits with the sentiment of the lyrics. BTW, they do a 'safe' version with, 'This thing's gonna kill me.....'

Whenever they do one of these acoustic versions, Clyde always arranges them differently. They certainly like to rock the gospel or blues vibe.
The weather acoustic has a second half that's literally labeled gospel reprieve.
Guy I used to be, which is their latest song, it's just more of a jam session at the end by Clyde.
this is a Gospel and pop fusion (mostly Gospel). Gospel as a genre is defined more-so by the chord progressions/arrangements than lyrics, and this chord progression is very gospel inspired

It's an 8 piece band and the background singers aren't part of it. They bring them in for the acoustic-ish videos only.

Their 8 pc is astonishingly good also. They're one of those bands you need to see live to appreciate their full talent. And, as Clyde testified at a Senate Committee hearing in ‘23, making a living as an Indie 8 pc. band is no picnic, either.
