🙋♂Hi Kit. I have been using PDF Exchange Editor for years. I will admit the UI look a bit dated, and the free version does watermark when certain tools are used, but for my needs it works very well. Though paid versions are available from $121.00 USD and runs on Windows and Macs. I don't think this might be useful for your needs, but just putting it out there for those looking for PDF reader and want to steer clear from Acrobat. Kudos from NYC🗽.
We got PDF-XChange Editor at my job too. UI is indeed outdated, but very complete in functionality. Great for reviewing and annotating technical drawings with the drawing options or rearranging (partially) turned scanned documents to save it as a new correctly arranged file. It is software aimed at businesses, but a colleague of mine was able to get it (for life, like in the old days) for a reasonable price. Took some effort though because they are used to businesses.
