The “wings” extending so far forward (and not just the aft/cockpit) are a great idea, makes the cabin with doors open a place where you actually want to hang out. Toilet section without shower seems a surprisingly small though for a 34 footer with 2 cabins.
Agreed on both points. The wings, saloon area makes it so much more boat. The toilet is a compromise and could do with a little bit of a re-jig. However it is still acceptable and private
This walkaround-desing on a Saxdor400, with that bit more cabin-headroom would be a banger. BTW, with that sunset you sold some 340s right there ...well done.
Thanks Dan, as a quick look-about that was fun. Boy, didn't you get lucky with the light!!! Just got back from Thailand, the islands are ok but had better fun elsewhere sailing and boating. Meh, but what do I know? Only sailed to 78 countries so far.
Really neat, I feel this displaced the 320GTO for Marginal cost uplift, what’s your view ? Why would one consider the GTO, the wet bar isn’t really in a place where you can cook
Congratulations Saxdoor, you have done it again! the masters of intelligent design in the adventure boat category. Is there any more magic left to include a wet head below? Sleeping capacity for 6 and no private shower seems to be a miss. Otherwise very impressed
Dan what's the quality like on these Scandi adventure boats? Hear some horror stories. edit: you're moving to Thailand, dan? Sounds awesome. Very jealous. Year round Summer!
Yes you can say that for most of the high volume European producers. And due to the numbers they pump out there will definitely be some horror stories mixed in. I’ve seen it all before when i used to sell boats. As long as you have good dealer support and understand that because you’re paying a lot less that there will be things that break - but in return you get a boat that is fun and easy to drive and you can trade or sell in a few years the calculation still seems to work in most places. I regularly see guys doing 3 or 4 times more engine hours per summer on these adventure boats than what they did previously on a sports cruiser. However… if you were going to take one of these to some remote location without access to dealer or service support you might end up getting annoyed. I’ll try make some videos explaining all this to help everyone understand when a boat like this might be good for them.
@@BoatLife_DansBoatLife well we had a prestige new from factory and it had a load of issues, now we will see how this 340gtwa will suit us, on paper it is all we as a family are looking for with a couple of comprimises.
@@fearhand12 it was a 460 we had some real issues with the swim platform not locking, and the teak flooring coming loose. The interior had fitting issues, the airconditioning was often not working and making lot of noise. An anchor not coming in because it was slipping on the rope, spotty vhf radio which had receiving issues. So yeah I think like Dan said a lot of high volume boats can have issues due to the volume they are produced in. I really hope the 340 is a boat which can at least give us more enjoyment in boating. Also mind you it was a fresh water only boat so.
Nice boat , ideal for the family , thanks Dan .
No worries! Agreed, families and couples this is sweet
They killed the design of this 👌🏼

Moving to Thailand in January?! Congratulations Dan I think you'll love it there, maybe I'll see you around
Yep off to Phuket. Hopefully doing a lot more exploring around Asia (by boat!)

Glad you appreciate the sunset!
If Nicole comes with the boat, it might be worth the price…
Oh no what have I started 😂😅
Thanks for the tour. I hope they have one at the Ft. Lauderdale show next week.
I’ll be there! Possibly too early to get a 340 to the US
Excelent video ! Congrats .
Thank you very much!
Can Nicole be part of future tours?
Just asking....

78 wow… good effort!
Suave designer stubble there brother! If you ever hit WA, you'll have to hit us up to go wing foiling.
Sounds great!
Thanx Dan for the tour. Personally, my favourite is the Axopar 45 XC. This one is really nice though
I drove a Nimbus from South of France to Mallorca with an Axopar 45 in company with us. Cool boat!
Great boat and review, but the "like" goes to Nicole. :)
Hahaha - I’ll pass on the msg 😅
great boat and settings, can you do AQUILA 50 TOUR?
I will try!

Yes I will mention your point about the head to Sakari because it’s a very good point
WOW!
who is your co-host??😀
Nicole
This new floor plan would be great a a 48-footer.
Yes, it actually would!

Who is Nicole? My lord 😮
Dan, you all see dog! Nicole, wink, wink, nudge, nudge, say no more, say no... more!
Oh, also, beautiful scenery, beautiful sunset, nice boat!
Always trying to find the best scenery for you guys 😉
Need to set your light meter to centre weighted.
Happy to…. I’ll see if I can find it in the settings
@@BoatLife_DansBoatLife will help you when filming in these high contrast settings. Love the vids!
Does the boat come with Nicole? I'm asking for a friend
Hahaha ….
