Thanks for commenting but I have not had any issues with my unit as of yet but if that happens I would recommend using a sewing machine to stitch it instead of hand stitching.
Thanks for sharing! This is a great idea! Heres a tip: To avoid having to stitch back the tracks/wefts that were hanging after you flipped the wig back to the correct side, be mindful about how you stitch from the inside during the process. More particularly, as you stitch up the middle, make sure you are simultaneously aligning/connecting the horizontal wefts back together from the inside. This way you are knocking out two birds with one stone.
Every wig I buy is bloody massive on my pin head . Plus I have hardly any of my own hair too to fill it out lol 😂. Thank you I’m going to get my needle out right now !!! 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
Thanks for your video. I will be trying this method and hopefully I will not destroy my wig for my 50th birthday. Decades ago my instructor showed me how to pinch or cuff wig once on my head, then remove the wefts in that pinch or cuff. Your method is quicker. I hope to return with results by June 5th.
Omg girl! Thank you so much for this video. Had I not found it & watched it, I don’t think mine would have been nearly a neat. I liked that you didn’t mess with any of the sides, elastic bands, etc.
Omg yes. Ok I was wondering if I could do something like this instead of adding bands and combs. I didn't think about cutting it. I may not do that cause it's my first time ever and it's taking weeks to ventilate.. I just don't wanna mess it up but I love this. I knew I couldn't be the first with this idea. So glad it's possible
Thank you for this! I just got my first wig online and althoigh the company said the straps makes it fit better, I see there might be a bigger difference between my 21.5in head and the 22.5 in cap. Mine also has the adjustable straps. Other videos either have you just fold and sew or if it doesnt have the straps, just cut off the back area. I only paid $130 for the wig but Im just getting into wigs and these are the mistakes I dont want to make with a $500 custom wig lmaooooo
Hello. I don't understand where you did your pinning before you started to sew. In my mind the pinning would need to happen on the cap with the wig inside out. Please explain. Thanks
I am really surprised at how well this worked!! Thanks so much for the tutorial. This really helped me. Follow exactly what she does and how she sews it and it will work perfect 👍
This is definitely a different method than i've ever seen. I would think cutting the cutting the wig cap with hair extensions inside of it as she says it's okay. I would think the hair's that are being cut are no longer Properly being held and will fall out upon brushing. Thoughts on this?????
I have been looking in to this all day because I cut the small lace in my wig but once I cut it off I seen so much more room to add a bigger lace frontal any recommendations ??
@@holesinthefacee yes the hair too. but you don/t need to cut it as Lili did you can sew the loose bit down to the cap to lay it flatter - if it is not too bulky.
Got a wig from luvme hair the cap is so big i can probably put it on a basketball such a waste of money This the second time in a row i got a wig im so unhappy with You spend a couple hundred dollars and still have to go through all this mess uneeal
Thank you, I've thrown away to many wigs, because of the bulking. So much cash down the drain. I'm going to try this, I have a few I was getting rid of.
Unfortunately the most common size in the market is 22.5 circumference . So if you have a very small head you would have to customize it to fit you properly.
Yep can see those tracks horribly. No, and she goes in to stitch the tracks up. That's also going to make the cap tighter. Losing her measurement. I think stitching the cap from the inside is best. ❤
All you had to do is skip rows meaning sewing the tracks closer together the way they were sewn to the actual cap to avoid cutting anything other then the thread… thanks for sharing though
I have never sewn a wig and this didn't really help. It was simple a video of her sewing the wig which was supposedly pinned on the outside but 5 minutes in she notes that she already took the pins out so if your a first timer like myself, skip this video because it's missing the beginning steps on how to measure before you start sewing.
DONT DO THIS. I did it and hair fall off like crazy!!!!. And before I cut it there was a bulk of hair making my head 3 times bigger. JUST SEW HORIZONTALLY. Attach one weft with another weft
Pin 📍 as you gather before you sew try it on with the pins in make sure ear tabs line up but if you plan to cut it's best to use a sewing machine if not i wouldn't cut
@@esthersowell3340 it's not what they are asking. They're not asking how to pin the wig they're question is pertaining to how did she gather the they want to know did she put the wig on inside out and then apply the pins or did she place the wig on the mannequin and pin the wig while on the mannequin?
I wouldnt recommend cutting. I did this before and the hair shed badly. Its better to fold it down and sew it flat to preserve the hair
Thanks for commenting but I have not had any issues with my unit as of yet but if that happens I would recommend using a sewing machine to stitch it instead of hand stitching.
Was just thinking that
Yes, I did it without cutting and it worked, so if there's any mistakes you can let it out
Yes
@@kellie5434 How did you sew it flat?

Great point.. thank you for your input 😘
Such a great idea 💡 ❤️
I done this on my latest wig and it’s been so much better . Literally made it feel like one of the ones I’ve made myself. Thank u 🙏🏼
You just saved my life lol, I bought a beautiful wig but my heads too small and I didn’t know what to do!!! Thank youuuuu 🙏🏾💕

Same! I always here people talking about “big head friendly” I’m like no I need pin head friendly 😫😫😫
@@marilynmontano1882 I ended up making my own wigs in the end cos got so fed up with it 🤣🤣
They just need to start making small head friendly and big head and let us choose
Glad I’m not alone just started buying wigs and I’m like omg these things are massive 😂

That's very helpful, gonna try it myself. If you want it to be flat, after cutting, unseal and reseal.
I really appreciate you sharing this video for this tiny head woman I will definitely be trying this on my vacation wig! Hello! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽❤️❤️❤️❤️

You’re welcome love ❤️
Thank you for this tip, it worked for me, I actually didn't cut , just stitched it down
You’re welcome love ❤️
So you just folded it and sewed three whole folded area down?
This solution might work better, if your own hair is not too long... Am I right? 🤔
I'm thinking to do the same
How do you stich the folded side down? I'm worried of getting it caught in the hair
Great method... thanks for sharing!. What i did differently was just fold over the excess instead of cutting it out. It worked cus my wig is curly😁
Great idea 💡 ❤️
After cutting you could probably add weft sealer and let dry before flipping the wig right side out and combing.
i'm all about an easy way to do this. no cutting etc thank you so much
This worked for me❤️I didn’t listen to the audio I just followed the visuals..thank for the video😀

Can you do this video again and start from the very beginning? I would like to see what you did before you flipped the wig over and started sewing
Yas! This method is so much easier than the other TH-cam videos I’ve seen where they cut their units across and take out the tracks.
Thank you this was a big help I didn't know what to do about my wig being to big for my head

Elaine Cochrane Can I do that to my 13x4 lace frontal wig ??
@@jayjaytr1849 yes you Can love
Lol. Don't do this! Without cutting, just sew the tracks sideways, so you don't ruin the wig.
What. Could this looks crazy
But will it looks bulky
Ummmm sorry i don't understand 😩😫
Sorry boo I’ll give more details next time . Thanks for Watching love

Thank you so much I was having a fit with my wig. Wigs are always to big for my head!!!
Thanks for this! Saved me tons of time and energy!

This helped alot since I have no hair my unit fits perfect. Thank you
You just saved me a lot of time!!! Thank you!
Thank you lady. Do I do the same in the front if the space is up wide?
Your video is one of the best and most accessible t make a wig smaller.
Thank you so much ❤️

I have an ant head and I thank you for this visual

So sorry love I’ll try to execute better next time 🥰
Lili's Touch should I be sewing all the way through the cap to the hair or just through the cap?
@@holesinthefacee yes the hair too. but you don/t need to cut it as Lili did you can sew the loose bit down to the cap to lay it flatter - if it is not too bulky.
whatever you do i would Not recommend CUTTING
Can you feel that seam on the back of your head when you wear it?
So what if my wig is already really thin as it is, will this make it worse?
Will do this one next. Right now im working on the back to front. My wig is 23" ear to ear my head is 21.25! XD
Wow I would love to see the outcome ❤️

Thank uuuuuu
U save me coz i have big wig then i dont know how to fix it .❤❤❤
I sew a curved dart on my sewing machine, then sew it down flat. The dart also eliminates bulge at the dome of the wig.
Omg thank u my cap can fit three men heads and I’m talking about big head men they wrong for making my wig this huge it’s ridiculous

This really make sense

Does this method shed the wig i was told

This why I don't purchase wigs. They look nice on other people. But be swimming on my head. My head small as hell. Plus my hair is thin.

can i use a straight needle instead of curved needle?
Yes
They making these wigs way too big sometimes I’m going to try this not wasting money thanks 😊

I thought about doing this but I’m scared haba
Damn! You are good!
