@@Spicycow94 I think you’re missing how easy it is to burn coffee beans when you have to multitask? Espresso drinker here - a quick caveat to what they said in the video - while you can use any coffee for espresso, you should not use any coffee *grounds.* If you use drip coffee grounds for espresso it will be watery and have a really bad flavor. Espresso grounds are finer/smaller than drip grounds. If you need grounds for an espresso machine, double check the label for what you're buying! *I choose to get beans and grind them myself.
Also! For anyone who has the opportunity and you don't like coffee, try white coffee. To make a white roast, the bean is roasted at a lower temperature and they are pulled before the first crack. This does two main things - preserves the caffeine and avoids the bitter flavor. White coffee tastes MUCH different to traditional coffee. It tastes and smells like almonds or peanuts. I could go on and on about white coffee, but I'll stop there 😂

Of course, I still didn't volunteer when a former classmate, who's currently pregnant with twins, posted on Facebook last week asking if someone would come over and remove a milk snake from her garage! 😳😜😂 In my mind I could _totally_ do it; in practice, however...handling a wild snake (as opposed to a tame/pet specimen) is just not something I'm willing to attempt! 😜😂

If you can remove the basket from your machine you can do this over your cup or balance it in another vessel if it's not stable. [Pretend your electricity went out and you have no other way to brew.] You'll figure it out pretty quick, just make sure your basket is clean of all residue or it will taint the flavor. It's worth it if only just to taste it. It's funny to me that this has become a novel trend because it's actually the most basic way to make coffee and what I grew up watching my parents use. It's the nitpicky measurements that make it elite. I'll be trying this science myself soon!

I've worked in a manufacturing and packaging factory (seeds for growing vegetables and flowers) in several roles from quality control to machine operator so always enjoy seeing this kind of thing. There's something very satisfying about packing machines like the weigh hopper (when they are working right, we used a giant one with two dozen weigh buckets for the pea and bean, with a vacuum hopper feed) although I preferred a vibratory bowl feeder because despite being a bit more effort to set up there are less parts to go wrong and the ones we had weren't computer controlled (we also used a vibratory bowl counter and a regular vibrating hopper counter for qc sampling so I got very used to using those and setting them up correctly), and I'd take both of those over volumetric dosing any day which was on the oldest and worst machines we had and was such a pain to run

Ed and Emily, I don't know if you'll see this but if so check out a "Ninja Coffee Bar". It's a coffee machine but it acts like a pour over without you having to manually do it yourself. You can also control how much you want to make. It ranges from as small as a 4 oz "specialty" size all the way up to a full carafe (pot). I'm a coffee addict and my husband bought me one of these a few years ago. I could never go back to a regular setup. I bought one for my step dad and now he is also hooked.
I really hope I get to meet ya'll one of these days! I really want to see the zoo!

Today was the first time since 2020 that I had the opportunity to interact with a snake. Happy to report that I had more excitement than fear and touched and even tried holding a beautiful Fox snake!

My only problem with this video was that, because of all the background noise within the shop, I struggled a lot to hear the conversations, especially in the beginning portions of the video. I'm not _extremely_ hard of hearing, but I do often rely on captions to clarify some things. Unfortunately, TH-cam's auto-generated captions leave a lot to be desired.
If it's not too much trouble, in future videos with a lot of background noise, it would be very much appreciated if you could use wearable mics to help bring the voice audio to the forefront or, alternatively, provide captions. Thank you for another wonderful video! 😊💚🖤

My parents are working together with a young growing coffee company, and it blows my mind how interesting the story behind coffee can be. The different ways to make it, what you can do with it, the history of coffee…
The company (magic coffee) learned me about how slaves used to make coffee secretly back in the days, and they’re trying to use this technique in their own coffee. Im not a coffee drinker myself, but its AMAZING! They also try to stay pure with their products, which is a massive + if you ask me.
But as said in the video, grocery store stuff isn’t the best quality compared to what fresh and pure coffee is like

I understand wanting people to try your coffee before adding something, but don’t make people feel bad for liking a certain taste. Don’t tell them they ruin it. That had to be embarrassing for Emily, to be told she ruins coffee because she has a different preference than them. Why does it matter? As long as they’re buying it, it doesn’t matter how much stuff they want to add to it.
