    Very nice to listen to you Charlie and watching Corry, his IH sounds healthy and the bales from the JD looks awesome, thanks for sharing this my friend

    Thanks for another great video Charlie. I usually stay hydrated with boosh lattes. But I will occasionally enjoy a colors light with my BIL As long as the mountains are blue 😂😂😂 Keep the videos coming

    A few years back my neighbors rolled up a bunch of round bailes. Then they had customers show up and wanted a bunch of square bailes. They actually had the equipment set up. that made it look rather easy for them. To convert the round bails to the square bells. I thought it was pretty cool.
    Thanks for the video, my friend.

    Glad you got'er rolled up. We haven't been able to string 3 nice days together for the last three weeks. Got 4.7" Friday & Saturday.

      We've been kinda dry the last three weeks, except for these brief pop up showers that ruined my hay. The rain heads in our direction (on radar) and then the rain cells diminish or split apart right before they get to us. It's weird.

    Great to see an update! Stay hydrated! The biggest farm task I miss with my grandpa was baling small squares. I am terribly allergic, and with my medical issues the heat can put me down really fast. I still can't get over and stop missing those days with him though. I have some videos on my channel of making hay with my grandpa back then if you ever get bored. He had an Oliver 770 and we used a Minneapolis moline, occasionally an allis.

      I'll have to check them out. I lost my Dad's dad when I was 12, and he had health problems, which meant I never did much farm work with him. I lost my mother's dad when I was 17, (and he was 83) and we had spent lots of time together working, even up to the year he died. I lost my dad when I was 34. I miss them all still, and only wish I had video of us/them.

      @pagrainfarmer glad you got the memories. I did not make too many videos. Grandpa was not much a fan of the camera. He insisted it got in the way of getting things done. There was some truth to it. But now my kids can see who he is. I'm the "shutter bug" of the family taking pictures and videos.

    It looks like your field yielded really well, sorry to hear it got rained on. We got deluged twice the other day where I'm at in W. PA. Happy to see you and your buddy are staying properly hydrated. 🍺

      Yeah, the yield on the hay was really good - I had hit it with a hundred pounds per acre of urea and it really does make a difference.

    Very important to stay hydrated, I too run a 966 on my round baler. Mine is a Hydro with an older JD 330 Round bale or a Gehl 1310. Makes a good pair. Friend of mine came over on Father's Day and we baled 825 square bales. Quite the workout for 2 aging guys, Nice to have good friends you can trade with. Great when it works out for both. My friend was looking for rear wheel weights for his SMTA for plow days. After he helped me, I said I have just the thing for you. Gave him a set of weights for his tractor. Win win for us both. We were brought up if somebody helps you, you help them. One hand washes the other. Would be nice if more people learned that.

      Yes, good friends are a true gift. Cory and I work back and forth together and do a lot of horse trading. I also have a 1310 Gehl round baler, but am saving it for the day when I get too old for small squares. 825 IS a lot of bales for2 guys.

    My buddy Chuck did first cutting on my farm and got way more than ever before! He pays me so much a bale and I ask for a 12 pack of hydration fluid! Well this year he payed me 1/3 more than I'd asked and included two 30 packs! I think he was really happy with the hay!

    I thought for a minute the way Cory was going around and I saw those Rose that weren’t getting picked up that. Maybe he got too hydrated.😂😂 9 mile an hour for baling that’s pretty good. I’ve been this imagine how fast you could clearly feel that way.

    92 is awful! Not sure I could take baling with an open station tractor in heat like that. We used to do it when young but we aren’t young anymore 😅. Your corn sure looks nice. Look forward to your next haying videos.

    • @pagrainfarmer
      @pagrainfarmer  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ain't that the truth! I've had horse hay customers who were very nice, and then some were so finicky that it drove me crazy. One woman came to the farm to buy 50 bales of horse hay and bounced each and every bale of hay off the floor to see if any dust came out. I politely suggested she not come back any more. I stand behind my hay and would have replaced any bales that were bad, which, none were bad.

    • @ThatOliverGuyChris
      @ThatOliverGuyChris 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@pagrainfarmer it makes me wonder how horses ever made it in the wild. I had a customer that had a foal die. She wanted to know what I sprayed on my hay. I told her the truth. Absolutely nothing, just fertilizer. Then she wants to know if something could have drifted onto the hay. Told her that's possible, but anything sprayed nearby would have killed the hay, but still gave her a list of the chemicals I used on my nearby soybeans. She had an autopsy done, and it turned out that it was the chemicals in the soil on her hay field that used to be a Christmas tree farm. Of course she didn't let me know, I had to find out from a mutual friend. Oh yeah, the little feller had sand colic twice because it was dumb enough to eat dirt.
