I definitely didn’t know that Alexa will give you a heads up vs my iPhone alarm assassinating me every morning. I also really love the motion sensor Ed bathroom lights. That’s a whole vibe. Thanks for all the new tips!

smart home goals right here! I just bought my first home and I want to install everything you shared but I think most useful would be the automated lights, especially changing hues depending on the time of day!

This video was quite informative for me as a new home owner 😊👍🏾
I really like the smart lighting system, especially as a female when coming home late so that I won't have to worry about searching for the light switch in the dark.

I love the idea of smart lights with sensors. It’s very useful when coming home at night with handful stuffs or going to the restroom in the middle of the night. So I don’t need to find light switches.

The most useful thing for me is actually the echo show. I’m a chef so being in the kitchen and having smart tech in there would be a game changer. This whole video was a game changer. I’m moving in a few weeks and I can’t wait to add these to my new apartment! Love it.

This was an amazing video that gives more insight on what I want to put into my future home. I’m currently apartment hunting for my first apartment ☺️ I feel like the most useful thing I got from this video was how to separate all of the Amazon products for specific rooms. And how to operate the lighting systems. Looking into get the iPad mount as well for a great centralized area for all the devices. Thank you so much and congrats on 10k!

I'm planning to set up smart systems for me and my husband's first apartment together, and controlling the lights for when we're too lazy to get up is a super useful feature. I thought about using an indoor camera, but the Boss of this operation ain't having it! She has a one word answer; NO! All other cameras run on Blue Iris software which is complex, but awesome. I have QuickSet touch screen locks that can be controlled from anywhere and also work in conjunction with my alarm system. You'll love them once you get them. I also have smart light switches, dimmers, plugs and motion sensors, but haven't made the jump to IFTTT; yet. Anyway, great video! And I love the wifi tap. I didn't know that existed. I'll look that up in a sec.

The most useful tech for me would be the morning wake up alerts. Currently I’m limited to alarms which are too aggressive and I don’t want to be woken up by music (as I may not recognize that as a queue to wake up). Having a device gradually set notices and starting the morning with the news (or even having the option to pick how I want to be woken up) would be very useful. The Phillips Hue lights set up as a blinking timer would also be useful for me. I’m realizing a need for time management efficiency here in both my picks. Lol

    • @SabrinaLatoya
      @SabrinaLatoya  3 ปีที่แล้ว

I also have my lights gradually fade into a daylight setting in my room so it’s naturally wakes me up! I also hate aggressive alarms lol!

I think the most useful would be the lights or the smart plugs that control the lights. I would LOVE to control my lights from my bed or couch because there's nothing worse than being warm and cozy, under a soft blanket, while watching Catfish and eating food that you spent too much on from doordash, then having to physically GET UP and turn the lights off😭. Or maybe I'm just lazy

We live in a rented apartment. And I Want to learn more about the motion sensors with the lights to come on and off in our two bathrooms. I use a bunch of smart homes like a Alexa, Phillip Hughes lights and Govee lights and all I need is just the nest thermostat. Really like the one you have.

The motion sensors are a pretty cheap and easy swap out from Home Depot or Lowe’s! They aren’t really smart lol. They aren’t connected to any apps or smart home AI’s but they get the job done.

[ i aspire for my future home to be a smart home. i’m a tech junky, so this is right down my alley ] but the most useful thing for me would definitely be the lighting! i just moved into a new apartment, and while i looooove it. i don’t think the electricians were thinking logically with the electrical set up. i have lightning in my office, the kitchen, and the closets in my bedroom, but not in the living room and my actual bedroom lol. and the places where there IS lighting, the light switches are in such inconvenient places. so if i could control that with the touch of a button on my phone, or a central hub.. *chefs kiss* 👩🏾‍🍳🤌🏾

I feel you on that! I had zero lighting in my living room as well! Every light I added myself! Not sure why they do that in living rooms lol

All of the “a” products were eye opening. I was leaning toward google products for my smart home, but you’ve changed my mind! Just bought a home, so I’m excited to make it a smart home!

I actually think Google is a better AI. I’ve just been with Alexa for so long is hard to make the switch! But if I were starting all over again I’d go with Google!

The smart lights would be great to have because I hate getting up to turn off lights lol. Also, I really just like the aesthetic of color LED lights.

The smart lighting system is definitely what I find the most useful. It would be wonderful to yell out when to cut something on & it actually happens. Lol. That set up reminds me of the clap on, clap off lights back in the day 🤣

The most useful items I would use would be the echo show, nest thermostat and WiFi Porter. Congrats on 10k+! 🎉

Sabrina, if I was blind, I already have an Amazon Alexa echodot, that which I've been using for 2 different things. I have a Cosori SMART air fryer and I also use the echo dot to listen to meditating and soothing music to go to sleep at night. But that I would love to, if my apartment community would allow, to make my old stove and oven SMART with a smart speaker, as I am almost TOTALLY BLIND.

The most useful thing I would use is the smart sensor, because I live alone and they would in handy walking into my home.

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but have you looked into an August Smart Lock Pro? It let's you keep your existing deadbolt, but allows you all the smart features you desire.
