Careful with this guys. I got it to work for hole formers where the diameter is the same throughout... it doesn't seem to work for tapered cones. Do not use this for sheet metal bending concepts with tapered holes. I didn't see how to make it work. Maybe it can work with a higher surftab1 setting, but make sure to double check the geometry.
@@ArkanceSystemsCZ That video does not tell anything about to unfold the loft from square to circle or rectangle to circle, which is my question in the first place. Only shows how to create a different kind of loft... The UnfoldRS tool can unfold loft?
@@ArkanceSystemsCZ Thanks to reply. Thanks for your knowledge and tutorials. At lest I found it and works. Could you please update RULESURF command to get SURFACE (loft). Is it possible to develop like this? THANKS
@@ArkanceSystemsCZ UNFOLDRS does not work on either RULESURF or after CONVTOSURFACE. I create a cone with two circles with RULESURF but when I try UNFOLDRS it says it is not a rulesurf object. Any help would be great. Thanks
thank you very much, you guys just saved my day.
OMG you guys just saved me, THANK YOU!

How to fix it?
What are you making?
I bet some of the shapes can not be folded back. specially the spiral and the frustum of cylinder at the bottom right.
thank you! you´re so big!!!
How to make a ruled surface from a square to rectangle loft? the edges are resulting in round surfaces, not regular as should be.
see e.g. www.cadforum.cz/en/blended-transitional-solid-between-irregular-regions-circle-rect-tip13163

Hi sir it doesnt work with me
I made meshtype to zero and surftab1 about 100
Could you please give more details of using steps.
Thanks
What does not work - the RULESURF command or the Unfold3D utility invoked on the rulesurf object?

You can convert the rulesurf object to Mesh and then to Surface with MESHSMOOTH and CONVTOSURFACE

how to convert solid 3d to mesh
Sir, is the plug in free?
sure, get it from the mentioned tip or from www.cadforum.cz/freeware
Thank you.
What about thickness? For example sheet metal thickness 8 mm. Is flatten shape inside or out side or center?
this is not a sheetmetal unfolding tool with K-Factors etc. - see Inventor or Fusion 360 if you need this
ruled surfaces do not have a "thickness." as such, you should develop the surface you want (ID, OD, midplane, whatever).
Not working !! Help me! Pls
are you sure you are unfolding RuleSurfs like in the video? and that MESHTYPE is set to 0 before you create the surfaces?
@@ArkanceSystemsCZ Yes sure. but not working , how can i make a picture
where can install unfoldrs file
anywhere
@@ArkanceSystemsCZ anywhere is where?why i cant find in my autocad 2020
@@akcjeremy4809 oh, where you can find it? on www.cadstudio.cz/freeware - see the tip link (I thought where you should put it)
@@ArkanceSystemsCZ thank
thanks
this is not precision, different amount of surftab will make another shape
No better thoughts, huh?
No dialogue!
No, as driving through the commandline is faster and allows to use scripts.
