OMG, I stumbled upon your video while looking at pocket planner setups. I've never heard of pocket letters before. I paused the video when you held up the plastic pocket and immediately ordered a box of 100 from Amazon. I am so going to do this. Thank you for such in depth information. I actually wrote it all down in bullet form while you spoke. Thank you! Keep up the great videos.
I've been in the Pocket Letter Pals group for about a year and it's the best group ever! Lots of useful info for us PL fanatics ~ thanks for making this video. :)
+Gwyn Walker Thank you, Gwyn. Since making this video, I'm once again reminded of the importance of communication. I feel like putting COMMUNICATE annotations all through the video :)
I want you to know how much I have appreciated your videos! I have spent the last three days ( not all day lol) watching and gleaning from your experience. I appreciate your straightforward way of presenting things. I am new to all of this, but I have been a crafter for years, not sure where I have been to be so far out if the loop! I am so looking forward to getting into some pocket letter swaps and also flip books. Again thank you so much for the inspiration and your experience. Blessings!!!
What a wonderful video! I picked up a dozen great tips about shipping various papercrafts. Your advice extends far beyond these pocket letters. Thanks so much for your time and effort to put this together Lolly. :-)
This is wonderful advice you have given us, I'm currently waiting a pocket letter from my happy mail pal and this is all new to me, but I think I'm going to also create one and send to her.
I think a good idea would be if you can afford it, is to use one of those binder type folders where you could use brads to place it in one, if it doesn't have that type of clip in it already... and then if you are the kind of person that also writes a letter, there are folder pockets for your letter, and anything else you want to send. I then place it into a padded envelope, especially if I am using ephemera that adds texture to the pockets, so that hopefully it won't get flattened too much while being shipped.
Why so serious? You’ve taken all the fun out of the craft! The mailing tips are useful but these tips should be for any letter, card or parcel mailed. And yes the letter or note should be hand written unless there is a disability that gets in the way!
No, the craft is still fun. :) At the time that this video was made, there were many questions circulating and much confusion for some people, and it was stressing them, so I wanted to give them the tips in one place. Thank you for watching.
I believe she did a fabulous job helping people insure their gifts get to their recipients as well as avoid misunderstandings. I don't believe you would have fun if you found your friend got a torn or mangled package, thought your offering was cheap, or dismantled it without you knowing that was her preferred way of using her gifts. Further, there are other videos listed near this one discussing bad swaps, etiquette issues, etc., so there must be problems somewhere.
Thank you!!! Great tools for a beginner like me.🙂
Thank you!

Hello, i love watching you. Would you consider swaping a pocket letter with me?
Thank you. I haven't had time for pocket letters for awhile, sorry! It takes me a week to complete one.
