Hello! Love your sewing plans and thank you for including the Slip Dress! LOVE the Liberty for London silk you have selected! You have a great eye. All of your pattern/fabric pairings are fabulous! Enjoy!
That is pretty swim fabric! The swimsuit would be great with a feature to secure the neckline if you want to be more active. The v is more for sunbathing.
I don’t have much space between my ribs and hips so paperbag waists look awful on me. Glad to hear I’m not the only one. Weather is cloudy and about 60 degrees. So ready for summer weather!
Lovely plans ! That liberty silk is incredible can't wait to see how it turns out! I did a shelf bra in my zoey last year too 😊 I'm just doing a lola tank with shelf bra too (so lovely to not have to do a real bra ) How lovely that your daughter is enjoying sewing too 😊
Great plans. I have never heard of shirring tape! Very interested in seeing you use it! I recently bought the Oona dress pattern. It would be fab in the leaf fabric ❤
Ooooh, so much terrific inspiration and fabric! I would love to see you make an Oona Dress, I’ve been admiring it for a while but do not really have a use for something like that in my wardrobe. The liberty silk would make a stunning Bondi dress by Tessuti….. I’m about to finally make the Evelyn skirt and also have plans for a simple shirred bodice dress with a lovely double gauze I have. Happy sewing!!
Hi Lisa, great to see your sewing plans. I am searching for the Elastic online in the US. No luck. And I do not like winding elastic on the bobbin and changing the bobbin tension, etc. I am looking forward to see what it looks like and how it works when you receive it. And please tell where your purchased from. Thank you !
Love your plans. I’m in the process of fitting the Santorini tank from Itch to Stitch. I’m petite and short waisted so there’s a lot to adjust in a small area! I’m really proud of getting the princess seams to fit on the first try. I’ve never sewn princess seams before and I did okay!
Have you ever put built in shapewear on skirts? I'd love to learn that. It's hard because I only have 1 pair of shorts that I like under skirts. It's hit or miss at the short. I like light support, not powermesh constriction. I just say no to Spanx. LoL.
That green fabric would be beautiful in a peasant style elastic neck with ruffle top hacked to a maxi or midi length, maybe with a drawstring waist so you could pull it tighter or leave it looser, pull the sleeves off shoulder or pull them up so you could wear a bra. Kind of like New Look 6892 pattern which I believe is OOP but there are some out there similar online that are free. Oh, you could put the drawstring Empire or at the waist. I like the drawstring so you could loosen it in the heat. I know about the heat, I live in Dallas TX.
@@Lisamakes I found that pattern on the US Amazon actually. I like the sleeveless one with the ruffle but I would make the ruffle much bigger…..like 4-5” deep!
Hi! We live just outside of Barcelona. It’s not hot all day long, but in the heat of the day, I really feel it. Also, things aren’t air conditioned here the way they are in North America. My BiL lives in Raleigh and he found it much hotter here!
Thank you. I feel like i am starting to gain a bit these days. I do intermittent fasting, i do pilates twice a week- and I don’t own a car. I get everything, including all our groceries, on foot.
Just curious and unrelated to your sewing. I was under the impression that your move to Spain from Canada was more short term. You are obviously enjoying Spain. Do you miss all your belongings and sewing paraphernalia that is in storage back home?
Great plans, but I have to say I just love your rock wall!
Oh thank you! Me too. ❤️
Green print is so summery cool!!!

@@Lisamakes Thank you!

I’m not active, nor a sunbather. Lol. I’m more, sit in the shade with a glass of something. :)
I’m looking forward to seeing your makes. The silk floral is beau…ti…ful!
Thank you so much!
Fab as usual - very keen to see the results. How great your daughter is sewing x
Thank you! 😊

Is it still? I’m sure summer is on the way.
Ok, great plans, get sewing!
Will do!
Thank you for another great vlog. I’d love to see the Prym shirring tape in action - I’ve not seen it before.
Closet Core has great short and pants patterns.
They do!
I would love to see how you did built in bra in your true bias zoey tank.
I’ll be sure to film that!
@lisamakes, Could you share how you made the build in bra? Cant find the video. Would love to see it!!
You are so fun to watch! I love your plans
Thank you!
I have that Atelier Brunette fabric - need to cut into it one of these days! I like the Itch to Stitch Belize pattern for shorts.
I’ll check them out!
Enjoyed seeing your sewing plans! Sooo great that your daughter is showing such interest. Hurray for her.😊❤
Yes! I wish I could’ve sewn my own clothes at her age.
It's great to see all those plans Lisa.
Thanks, Annette!

Yes, it’s one of the best hacks to know, right?

Yes, I think so!
Lovely ideas for makes, Lisa. When you say you can make a tank, what do you mean? You are so professional, you make it look effortless!
Thank you! I mean that i have enough fabric that with a little creative cutting I can use a tank pattern to create a garment.
Always feeling inspired by your sewing plans
Thanks, Kailey!
you have some lovely plans. i really want to try the true bias zoey this summer at some point.
Thanks! It’s a good one- and quick!
Fun Video 📸

I am inspired .. love your choices.
Yay! Thank you!
Look forward to seeing your finished garments 🙂 I'm going to sew a wrap dress from Burdastyle, look forward to seeing it finished 💃
Hope you enjoy it!

It’s not easy to find! I got mine through Spanish Amazon. I’ll definitely show it in a upcoming video.
Love your ideas! 😍I’m currently working on the Pauline dress from Closet Core😅I’m also using a Liberty of London print🤩Can’t wait to see your makes😊
That sounds great! I don’t have that one, but I love their patterns.

Well done! That’s such a cute dress, I’m sure that once you have the fit down you will make it again and again. Good luck!
Keep that daughter 🧵🪡!!!

You know, I haven’t! That’s an interesting thought.
I have to retry the Erin skirt. I got the sizing totally wrong the first time and couldn't fit into it.
I think I had some fit issues initially, too, but it’s worth giving it a second go, I think.

I did have my eye on a peasant top, actually! Those are really great ideas. I’ll have a look at the New Look pattern you suggest. 👍
@@Lisamakes This is a fun idea! The new FibreMood has one like that, was also eyeing SewingPatternsByMasin's new Daphne maxi dress.
@@sarahallen6445 I need to order the new Fibremood. It used to on supermarket shelves here, but not since the pandemic.

You have such great skill at pattern/fabric matching! How did you learn to do the built in bra? Sounds like a great skill to add
Thank you! 😊 I have another pattern that has one and I just applied the same principles. It’s definitely a useful hack!
Slip dress that can be layered later, for silk?
Yes, perhaps!
I'm in South Carolina USA....where do you live that it's so hot already?

How do you stay so slim? Do you have a routine, special diet? I struggle...sit too much.

Yes, plans did change a bit. I do miss some of the fabric and patterns I had back home, but overall I have everything I need!
