Thank you sooo much for sharing this great document !!... Sondra is by far the best Turandot of our ages and undoubtly one of the best Turandot ever ... I am puzzled by the inappropriate comparaison with Dame Joen who never sung this part on stage ... comparing a studio recording with the far greatest challenges of a live performance is totally irrelevant.
Slow tempo, which takes away the flow of the music. A bit labored. One place "voce" is taken with a rough chest voice. And there are places where intonation is a bit low. She should soar just like Sutherland did. For one who sang so many coloratura roles I am surprised that her top is not ringing out in the mould of Sutherland. All in all much much better than the current screaming attempts of other colleagues.
Her voice is constructed differently than Sutherland's. Rad's is more in the 'pierce through the orchestra' school. I do think that some wear and tear is showing on her voice, which is understandable given how long she has been at this.
Just wonderful.You are blessed❤
Cannot thank you enough for posting all of these. ❤️❤️❤️
Bravo👏👏👏🎶🎶🎶❤️❤️❤️
She is about the only Soprano these days that can sing Turandot! Fantastic!
Actually, Anna Pirozzi has been singing it fabulously everywhere.
She sounds great !!! Wow Sondra in a calid frozen Principessa ❤
She’s wonderful! She also said in a recent interview that Turandot was far easier to sing than her Donizetti roles.

You are welcome. I agree with your comments.
Good choice for her.
Why so slow? My Lord

I think that was for solid artistic reasons. It sounded great--pained and tortured, just like the princess's soul.
God that was painful.
Too slow and she's singing under pitch. I don't think it's an aria for her.
I like this tempo.
