Hey- I’m looking to buy a horse and he makes an abnormal whistling sound when he breathes in the canter. He’s competed up to training level eventing and the owners are pretty nice and say that it hasn’t caused him any problems- but I always want to play it safe... He doesn’t sound like he’s roaring the same way the other horses in this video do. He just barely whistles and it sounds to me like it’s just in his nose. what should I do? Is it worth surgery to fix?
Do you have a link to the video with the horse making the sound. Unfortunately it was talked over so I couldn't hear it

You need to consult with an equine veterinarian.
Poor sound quality
