Even $125/ night is crazy when you consider the fact that my husband and I got a room at the DS Hilton Doubletree for $109/ night last August for a much nicer room!
Quincy is amazing, love listening to her reviews. I always feel like it's a very real explanation and dive into what she is talking about.
i can't believe all star sports was closed for as long as it was and they didn't even renovate the rooms. i'm sure they're comfortable but it looks so bad compared to movies and music
I had to do a double take as to when this video was put out. I thought the reason it stayed closed for so long was because of the updates to the rooms. These look horrible!
Right! and they still don’t even have a coffee maker?! Whyyyyy

So the takeaway is they seemingly didn't update the rooms while the hotel was closed unlike the other two all stars.
Love Quincy & her room tours! Would love to see her cover the Contemporary now their rooms have been updated!
Meanwhile, I can get a nice 2-bedroom suite with 3 beds at Universal for $136 a night. Even if you take into account an Uber to and from Disney every day, you’ll save hundred a day, and thousands on the vacation. In addition to that, you’ll actually get a NICE modern hotel, instead of a rebranded Motel 6.
Disney is a Greek tragedy.
i have zero interest in sports, but i still recommend this one of the 3 all stars--it's the first bus stop when the busses are shared by all three, so you're most likely to get a seat on the way to the parks, and the first out of the crush in the evening.
Imagine paying $200 a night for rooms substandard to motel 6. And imagine being HIGHLY paid Parks and Resorts administrators and not bothering to renovate those tragic rooms while the resort is closed for 2 years. And imagine pretending that it is okay. SMH
Stayed here many, many times when I was young and I do not have a single bad memory. I have stayed 2x as an adult and loved it as well.

Love these Quincy resort tours, feels like I'm taking a fun class in Resortology.
I like how even the railings are themed. The ones in the tennis section look like nets. The basketball section look like the old gym lockers.
Quincy’s resort tours always bring me so much joy. I’m LOVING her Mickey outfit in this one! I don’t think All Star Sports will ever be my speed though. I’m all for a value resort (I’m staying at Pop Century in January), but the theming of this hotel isn’t my vibe. I’m not a sports fan, and so much of the resort feels very 90s to me, even if aspects have been updated since it opened
While I love the 90's decor, they have dragon 🐉 sized cahones to charge $300 a night for that room at Any time of the year. $125 -still a bit overpriced for what it is, but it's on Disney property and Disney is expensive so fine charge me 2-3 times for what's essentially a Disney themed Days Inn. But $300 with Only 🚌 Transportation?! 🤪🤑😵😤🤬
Hell, you could probably stay at an outside hotel and take a Lyft every day direct to your park for less than this resort.
I agree! And to think just 3 yrs ago I paid 302 for a room at Yacht Club, over 4th of July week no less!

That’s the saddest looking room. Everyone do yourself a favor and book over at the Swan Dolphin. Much better hotel with much better food and you can walk to Epcot and Hollywood Studios!

All-Star Sports was where we stayed the first time I ever went to WDW, back in '96--the "Castle Cake" year. 😂 It was in the Home Run section. Memories! 😃

7:12 "......a 90's drawer" ???? Wow, kids today amaze me ;-) This is a really nice resort to lay you're head in, take a shower and be on property. It's a shame the pricing has gone crazy though.

@@bridgetclement8167 wow! Probably because the just had their reopening not to long ago and everyone is booking. And Quincy mentioned that a lot of times big groups like dance teams and such will book these
hotels. I'd say just keep an eye open maybe something will pop up.

Its BS. We are staying there next month b-c it was literally the ONLY value spot open. Please tell me why they wasted 2 years of it being shut down and didnt refurbish a single room! What a waste of time. Then they want to charge you the same as a modern room at one of the other resorts. Thats total BS. If I could change it I would and go to Swan & Dolphin and pay the extra but the trip is a gift and we feel bad to alter it. The rugs grossing me out tho!

@@HelloNewMoon Yep! Back then you could surprise your kids with a little weekend trip. But now it's impossible NOT to spend half the year planning a trip. We went every year, sometimes twice from 1996 to 2009. Only been once since then and it was hard to have fun

Honestly, I’d opt to stay off property before I’d give even €129 for those rooms!!!! I priced a 1 bedroom suite at one of the good neighbor hotels. 7 nights, €1200! It’s not about the cost necessarily for us when we travel, more so about value for money 💰
Wait a minute… I was just there last week and they didn’t have the Turning Red boy band tee 😢 I was looking for that tee!
We enjoyed our stay but the room was crowded even with two toddlers. We didn’t have hot water the night before our park day but luckily they fixed it before we came back after fireworks. We stayed in homerun and the nearby football field were great for the kids running around before a bus ride. We didn’t have time to do everything we wanted to do at the resort: pools, movies night, playground. Also the bus ride was 30min to Disney springs for dinner time and To Magic Kingdom. I didn’t like the quality of the room…. Is there a value hotel that is updated?
Did I miss the hockey section? That is where we were placed when we stayed in 2018.

We stayed in Sports in 2017. Surf's Up Corner room right by Pool. It was 3 Adults and a 9mth old lil boy. I was Sad toward end of trip Cause BOTH my Phone and my Mom's phone STOPPED Charging.
The only time I remember going to Disney was for the National Cheer Competition in 6th grade (2006) :) We stayed here :) There was blood and boogers on our curtains...still had a great time. We got 14th/40 cause one of our stunts fell! Just happy to be there

I love that Molly listens to the HP audiobook!❤️❤️ Thanks Quincy! Great overview of the resort! We stayed at Allsports in Feb 2020 and loved it! We were hardly in the room, or at the resort because we were in the parks at rope drop, came home for naps and then went back to the park until bed time. I think it is the perfect place to stay for families who maximize their time in the parks:)

I'm a Disney fanatic but I'd rather stay at Endless Summers at Universal which is cheaper. The All star hotels are glorified motels

I absolutely love Quincy’s resort tours! My family and I are staying here in August and I can’t wait to be back on property! Does anyone know if the buses start running 30/45 minutes prior to when resort guests can enter early, or is it just x amount of time before the regular opening time?

id put my shoes there. it's annoying when i'm at a hotel and i can't put my shoes anywhere expect next to the bed. They thought of everything! (i'm ocd i also got in trouble when i was in second grade for my gym shoes falling off my closet, and the bully threw them out) so now i'm ocd where i put my shoes.
Coffee maker in the room?
We’ve stayed there twice. It’s a nice place. But word to the wise, try and ask to NOT stay in a room by the football field if you like to sleep in or to take naps. Disney rooms are notorious for thin walls and design of the field and walls of the rooms make the sound really loud.
Can you put shoes on the side of that cabinet??
They’re pretty narrow. I always put my hair spritz, deodorant there.
I'm disappointed that they didn't give Quincy a basketball room.
obviously your room has not had the remodel treatment yet. basically 90% of what you are saying you love is gone in the remodeled all star rooms.
