Trains at: Lichfield Trent Valley, WCML, 08/08/16, Featuring 45699 Galatea

- An excellent afternoons session spent at Lichfield Trent Valley on the West Coast Mainline where we see plenty of services from Virgin Trains, London Midland and various freight from DB Cargo UK and Freightliner. Also to be seen towards the end of the film is 45699 on a light engine move toeing her support coach looking and sounding absolutely beautiful with the driver giving a nice pull of the whistle as she enters the station.
This station is fantastic and I do highly recommend this to anyone who hasn't been here before, you've got regular services from London Midland City as they traverse the length of the Cross City Line departing roughly ever 20 minutes.

***** its brilliant and more open space. I also went to Tamworth once 2 years ago at the end of September.
Tamworth is a brilliant station, you get so much traffic passing through
Nice video, Lichfield looks like a nice place to film! I saw a DB Class 66 hauling those wagons at Peterborough, but they were empty. Anyway nice footage :)

Love the Steam Engine Surprise! :-) Brilliant Freight Variety too at LTV. Also I think that was an 11 coach X-Men Pendolino speeding North. Tamworth is an intersection between the West Coast Main Line and CrossCountry lines in which there are the Edinburgh-Plymouth XC Voyagers and the Virgin Pendolinos. I think Those cars and vans came via Harwich or Southhampton from Japan and America.
thanks very much seeing Galatea was a fantastic surprise I certainly wasn't expecting to see her. About the X-Men Pendolino I'm not overly sure, I may very well have seen 390155 but I'm not sure

planning a trip from hull to cardiff then after a few t days go to glasgow and after 4 days go down to london and then (guess how many days we will be staying) head home or do you think it's worth a extra day in bristol just to ride first class on GRW as I really want to go first class with them

+Tornado922 Virgin Trains Dont Do Edinburgh Services via the Trent valley they do them via Birmingham
I think they have a few every day going via the Trent Valley route, I went on one a few days ago on my way to Carlisle that went via the Trent Valley line

What is the difference between a Voyager and a Super Voyager?
A Voyager is a 4 car DMU. The Super Voyager is a 5 car variation that has a Tilting system installed very similar to the Pendolino
Rapid Racer 6 class 221 supervoyager has 5 carriages and can tilt, a class 220 voyager has four carriages and does not tilt. 221141 only has 4 carriages because of a fire In one. Hope this explained it! :D

221141 is originally built as 4 alongside 142 and 143. However virgin for extra capacity 221144 originally 4 cars 2 carriages were inserted into 142 and 143 to make them 5.
