There was a study where they got people who were blind from birth to touch some 3d shapes, then go through a procedure that restored their sight. They then were asked to look at the objects that they had touched, and figure out which ones were the cubes, spheres, pyramids they had touched before. None of them could. NL is like that, except he was never blind. All spatial reasoning has been replaced with 2000s movie trivia.

I think as people get older they tend to simplify hard things into rules of thumb, but when you forget the underlying complexity you just end up hitting the problem with the same hammer over and over

I was dying after 10:50. He had it, then just completely abandoned the right idea without trying to modify it at all. If he would have done the same shape without a kickstand stopping it from even tipping over, it was a piece of cake. You're right though, great entertainment.

The United States government could use these videos as an advance form of psychological torture and they would get anyone talking just to stop the pure agony of this hard boiled egg trying to flex the wrinkles in his brain to solve these simple puzzle’s. I had to start seeing a therapist to resolve entirely new issues that these videos have awoken within myself. I may be traumatized for life and I’m working to unburden myself of this trauma so I don’t pass it on to my kin. I felt levels of suffering from these videos that even the darkest of minds couldn’t dare to dream of.

It never ceases to amaze me how bad NL is at these kinds of puzzles. It's not even that he doesn't get the puzzles right away, I'm not that great at them either, but the fact that he seems to be incapable of learning from his mistakes. It's a weird mixture of pog content and suffering for sure.
Edit: To be fair he did have a few moments of genius towards the end of the video, so maybe all hope is not lost
