Hi! Following up on the New Brunswick comment. Can I tell my students you are from here? (I would ask on Twitter, but I am not on Twitter. Big fan of the show, congrats.)
Since Vic plays the straight-man her improv seems effortless. It's cool to see her talk about her process and the amount of work that went into making the character.
Sometimes the algorithms knock it out of the park. Such a fan of Vic's and Dropout as a whole! Hoping that Vic gets to play some TTRPG on Dimension 20! I have no doubt they would make such an interesting character
@@somebodynowhere Zac, Izzy and Brennan all absolutely killed it. But so did many others. I didn't absolutely love every single episode but there were far more hits than misses.
tommy shriggly, denzel, and nana are my top 3. " little clap", "can i smoke in heeeeaaaahhhh?", and "NERD ALERT! NERD ALERT! NERD ALERT! WEEE WOOO! WEEE WOOO! WEEE WOOO!" have all made it into my personal lexicon
this was so great! I really hope that we can see Vic as a player in a Dimension 20 season one of these days. Her, Jacob, Ally, and Zac together in a season would be so excellent.
I really appreciate Vic Michaelis as an incredibly important talent in the world, just a really powerful and unique voice of comedy. Really clicks with me.
After Augbert, My personal theory about vip is that Vic is trapped in a nightmare realm trying to be the best reporter but constantly having to interview the strangest people
I love Dropout and Liz hit the nail on the head: talent incubation. I LOVE looking through their shows and seeing names like Vic Michaelis, Jacob Wysocki, Lou Wilson, Brennan Lee Mulligan because I like watching those people be funny. I had totally missed most of their stuff until seeing it on dropout. Ill tell you one thing: I see Jacob Wysocki, Vic Michaelis, or KAtie MArovitch on something, Im watching for sure
This Channel is really Cool. So glad TH-cam Rec'd it to me. This was an interesting. I didnt know Vic before this. Actually i wasn't familiar of Liz either. But i stayed for the whole chat and look forward to more content. Happy I'll be an O.G sub. Looking back to today after you reach 100k subs :)
Love vic! Very talented, quick witted , funny, beautiful, and smart. Super humble and such a unique personality. God bless you and I hope and pray you continue to grow your presence in the entertainment world.
Vic, you really hit it out of the park (hit the puck into the net?) with Very Important People. You've already seen me gush on Twitter, but I really mean it.
18:03 "I also don't know what other show you could get like Zac Oyama as Tommy Shriggly, like I just don't know if there's another *vehicle* out there that could broadcast it the way that you guys were able to." Intentional or not, I loved this pun. Great interview all round :D
VIP was an incredible watch, just banger after banger. i think Josh Greuben's episode is super underrated. I will say i hope they don't lean too hard into callbacks for season 2 just because certain characters blew up - but seeing other dropout shows build off previous seasons tells me they're likely to do it in a very smart way. lots of love Vic and congrats on the success!
I was lucky and only took foreign language and art as IB and didn't do full DP, so I came out relatively unscathed compared to my peers who took full DP.
I'm watching this a couple months after going the same IB hell and not in fact finishing the program (but getting a certificate and still having to take the tests like Vic said) and the conversation about the EE around 20 minutes smacked me right in the face
Vic is so great ahaha I always liked seeing her on other Dropout shows but Very Important People has solidified her as one of the greats in my mind. This is random but I’d love to see her and Kate Berlant together
@@producerliz I had to get one might as well be the person who's channel it is. Would that not be a great video. I would say get Sam to do it but he's not going to shave his beard
I subscribed to dropout specifically for VIP. I’m so glad Vehicular is getting the kudus they are getting so late in life. It’s well deserved and a testament to how even an 80 year old chaos gremlin can make it.
wait......what was that comment about some sort of "LA livestream for improv".....is there some thing where people can subscribe and be seeing LA improv things that i don't know about?
If you follow different venues and companies on Instagram they’ll often post the links to livestream tickets, dynasty typewriter is one but there’s many
I will preface this with the fact that I've have been diagnosed with severe Brennanism. I thought all the episodes were great but the one with Brennan was funniest to me.
I was confused at first but i watched the first episode and i want to see more but im not sure i want to pay for a membership, i didn't look into how much it is so it may be cheap but it is kinda a principal thing to me, while you should be paid for the work you do, i don't want to necessarily be forced to pay to watch your content( speaking more directly towards dropout) i like their content though, just not sure it's worth the money to pay for a membership, im always worried about getting my information used by a third party if youtube were to have a breach.
Dropout does this for the right reasons. They aren’t beholden to shareholders or advertisers, they just want to earn your dollar through their content. It is easily the best money I spend on entertainment. They are also apparently very good to the talent and crew. As for my information, they have payment stuff. I assume they do normal industry security or whatever, so not infallible, but I dont think they harvest anything, can’t imagine how they would. If you do decide to subscribe, don’t do it through an App Store, they don’t charge extra and apple/google takes a cut for basically no reason.
Thank you for having me!!!!!

Congratulations, Nance
Congratulations, Vehicular!
Thank you for doing such amazing job!
Hope you'll get EMMY. That will be GAME CHANGER.
The musical for you sister ep 1 Thousandaires had my family rolling on the floor!
Vehicular Manslaughter looks good in their silly little cap. 😻😻😻
You mean "Wet-Hair Messy-Face"? 😂
Come on everybody and give Vic a little clap.
the entire series deserves.

I didn’t know Vic was Canadian! Massive win for Canada folks, they’re a newfound (lol) national treasure!
Vic knew Joliet IL, that qualifies her as Midwestern AF, you wanna do a dual citizenship thing?
Wow. Very bold for Vic to do this interview with their biggest fan quietly waiting in the background.
Since Vic plays the straight-man her improv seems effortless. It's cool to see her talk about her process and the amount of work that went into making the character.
She plays it straight until you talk about killing a parent. Then she breaks
Their version of the straight-man is brilliant. Loved hearing them dive into that on the interview, the questions were soooo good!
Sometimes the algorithms knock it out of the park. Such a fan of Vic's and Dropout as a whole! Hoping that Vic gets to play some TTRPG on Dimension 20! I have no doubt they would make such an interesting character
the season had so many instantly iconic moments, vic and also the hair and makeup/costume crew did such a great job
it's so hard to pick a fave, in the next Dropout Drop-In we're going to try and rank our top 3 episodes and idk how ill pick!
I think the tommy shriggly episode is a big standout but you're right you have a tough choice to bring it down to three to feature

I just finished the first ep of Thousandaires. It absolutely cemented Vic as my Dropout favorite. ❤️
I feel like there is an amazing sitcom to be made around the life at Vics’ house from the lore in season 1. 😂
Full House with Vic and Denzel

This was a wonderful interview, very charming from both sides. Going to go back and watch your Sam Dalton video because I, too, have questions
Enjoy!! The Sam dalton convo comes up towards the end of that episode just fyi, I should really go back and add a timestamp 😂

Had a wonderful time listening to this conversation!! Also you were in the IB program too 😭

This is so lovely thank you!! More to come 💃
Vic is a national treasure! VIP is a work of amazing art!
Newfoundland loves Vic.

When the trailer came out is when I decided to finally pay for Dropout!
Now you get to enjoy so much new content! Have fun!
"Can't recant." -Vic Michaelis starts the revolution against Big Veggie.
Vic mentioned an improv coach at 12:15, Alex Vearny (sp?), do you happen to know the spelling of her last name?
It’s Alex Fernie, he’s one of the members of the long running improv team, Convoy. If you search Convoy UCB, you can watch some of their sets.

Vic is THE boss. ❤
Does anyone else want her to do an episode with Stanley tucci? Dressed as Evelyn tucci?

Imagine if VIP had Amy Sedaris on...
They grow up so fast, don't they! I remember when she was a sophomore and foreman of a non-unionized construction company.
What the heck is Vic doing out my way in New Brunswick? Was genuinely surprised to hear my province's name even mentioned online.
This is exactly the kind of reaction I was hoping for 😂
Augbrrt with Vic conquered the internet
I have a sneaking suspicion that Vic is indeed a shadow monster.

Is this a joke from some of dropout episodes? Because "Vehicular Manslaughter" is such a genius joke and I saw it a couples times here already
Nevermind, found it. If anyone stumbles onto this with the same question as me - it's a joke from VIP
Up n comer for sure
