the seat is actually quite different - i don't know if you noticed the 2 different handles on the bottom of the seat but they're for the recline, which is pretty good on these ICEs.

It‘s really just the ICE 1/2/3, and on some units of these you still don’t get compartments. You were lucky that the compartment wasn’t booked by some persons.

We were just on at a few weeks ago. We first rode it in 2008.

There's usually a restaurant-cart, but in first class you can also order at your seat I believe
