10:58 this is my clip. try to go easy on truck man, everyone. this is a BRAND NEW traffic circle and we were both hopped up on adrenaline from the close call. he came around in the end and that’s more than most people would do. his body language and facial expression told me he had genuinely cooled off and realized what had happened, so, no harm no foul.
Roundabouts aren't that hard to figure. Glad he calmed down
dude you suck at defending yourself in the video
"Truck man" was not the only one who failed
12:48 Look out for the silver Subaru 🤦♂
Stop saying "had ___" it's completely fucking unnecessary to say something "had" happened
@@steelersrock4392
As a non-native English speaker, I have to say that there is a difference between sth. "happend" and sth. "had happend".
These are different tenses ("simple past" and "pesent perfect").
"Had happend" is completely correct in the given context, as it establishes a reference to the present.
That last one "My truck is too big! Like, do you understand, if my ludicrously, unnecessarily oversized truck were to hit someone they would die!" Like, what is the argument here? "My truck is so dangerous to the population that everyone should just get out of my way and let me drive however I want"?
" I'm a dumbass that doesn't know traffic rules driving a death machine, it's your job to look out for me! "
People like him are why I think 90% of truck owners should not be allowed to own them, provide a valid reason you need one like working on a farm or construction instead of needing something to inflate your ego, they are infinitely more dangerous to have on the roads compared to sedans or smaller vehicles
You can’t even see what’s in front or behind you if it’s too close. It’s really dangerous for pedestrians and smaller vehicles. And if you do hit someone they are going to be smashed and flattened instead of being flipped onto the hood.
@@Earthneedsado-over177 "HERE I GO! GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY ELSE!"
Bigger do not mean safer. At least, NOT for everyone around the bigger vehicle. For each cm above the hood height of an average regular car, the chance of causing a deadly collision increase by about 1 to 2 %.
The jerk in the giant pickup goes to check his car for damage, then tells the cammer how much damage he could have done. 🤦♀️ Clearly he was using his size and weight to "go first". Big truck, small cajones.
You spelled penis wrong.
At the very least he apologized, but size in this case doesnt matter
If it drives a pickup, it's probably stupid.
His argument literally sounded like "I'm in a bigger vehicle so I have the right of way".
One of the squeakiest "tough guys" I've heard in a very long time.
Also... that triangle shaped sign that points downward, you know, the one Mister Tough Truck drove past? Yeah, that's a YIELD sign.
10:56: That roundabout has been in place for a little over 2 weeks and has already made Dashcam Nation lol. EDIT: After fully listening to the truck driver, he apparently forgot that it's no longer an intersection but now a roundabout. Which, despite being a recent change, really doesn't speak highly of his situational awareness. Also dude, if you're that concerned about how much damage your truck could do if it hit someone, maybe that's a sign it's too damn big?????
11:08 "You have the yield" You can see in the start of the video that the truck has the yield and not cam car. Road rage is crazy
He can't be wrong, he has a big truck and a huge ego.
He then admits there are two yield signs, but it is still somehow the responsibility of the cam car to... not get in his way?
he lives in a world where people IN the circle have to yield to those entering
@@TopBestFunnyVideos99 No, just to HIM. As in everyone.

5:50 that was not you "attempting to change lanes". You were still turning and were 100% in the wrong. ALWAYS stay in the lane closest to where you are turning from. That's how dumb shit like this happens and why turn lanes are always congested.
1:35 - Dude, wash your windshield.

did you read the rest of it or...?
he also seems to confuse U turning vehicles needing to yield when the car turning right has a green light, he was turning right on red and has to yield to the U turning vehicle
@@PixelCrabs I did, but he keeps continually trying to cast blame multiple times instead of taking responsibility immediately.
2:46 U-Hual Trucks are rented to ordinary people without a check for any sort of experience driving large trucks.
As a matter of safety, you should ALWAYS give U-Hual Trucks extra space, expecting a boneheaded move.
👍...and Penske, Ryder, Enterprise..etc. You just don't know, so don't think they do.
That driver would've done that with their own vehicle too. Didn't bother to check the mirrors, so you know they wouldn't have done a shoulder check either.
That last guy needs to control his truck better if he's so concerned with crushing other cars! Great job on the cammer! I don't know if I could have stayed that calm!
@MyNameisRahl the cammer needs to learn to articulate, sounds like a total idiot stammering and at that point deserves to get walked all over. Some people got no backbone
1:29 not calling you an idiot but you evidently failed to yield the right of way. Doesn't matter how long you wait you got hit in less than 3 seconds after pulling into traffic.
I think the driver who illegally changed lanes in the intersection would have probably been more at fault.
@@nimrodery You can change lanes in an intersection. He would have seen them do it if he was looking that direction. If you pull into an intersection and get his within 3 seconds like OP said, you're definitely the idiot.
@@Orizzle1870 it's illegal and stupid, but yes, you can change lanes in an intersection. I mean, technically you can drive backwards with a blindfold if you like, just don't expect it to last
@@Orizzle1870 that is indeed not legal
5:27 Not to mention changing lanes while turning onto a multi-lane road the way you were doing it is illegal in every state that I'm aware of. I don't think it was contagious idocy, just idiocy in general. If you're too mad to use your mirrors, pull the fuck over and wait til you're calm instead of causing accidents.
He should have turned into the right most lane but he moves left while turning
there's states where you can turn into any lane. I cant find anything that makes the u-turning vehicle yield to a right turn on red, and it seems that he should have turned into the right most lane per state law. State law say that the cammer should have yielded to the car in the intersection, which he didnt, and turn into the right most lane, which he didnt. Wild to even post this video lmfao
I remember looking this up while in Florida (no U-turns in NY so I am unfamiliar), but right on red is supposed to yield to anyone who has a green light, including someone making a U-turn. Cammer was wrong twice if that holds up.
1:30 this is why I always wait until there are NO cars in BOTH lanes before pulling out like that. There’s actually one time where this would’ve happened to me but I foresaw this so I waited.
Sameee
I had a lady dead stop in traffic with the cars behind her flying by... and she still wanted me to pull out and turn left. I so wish I had it on camera.
@4:28 was so close, the cammer could've reached through that back window to change the other car's radio station
7:14 that stopping distance is insane and the fact that she anticipated the crash that far back is scary. She's aware it's bad and was saying she couldn't stop fast enough 3 seconds before the crash even happened. I don't know the law at all but i feel like such a long stopping distance should not be road legal, cus i would not feel safe being anywhere near that car.
Yeah we got rules for being road legal all over in Europe. They don't have that in USA.
Could have saved thousands of lives, oh well.
I have a lifted 2004 Ram 1500 on 35s, I could’ve stopped in that distance. Sounds like she may need to change her brakes.
Probably stay a safe distance also knowing you have a xtra weight
I've seen semi trucks stop faster, it's like they only used 75% brake power
The brake lights on the car in front of her come on a few seconds before she says that. She couldn't stopped if she slowed down when the car in front of her initially put on her brakes. It took her a few business days to respond.

@@hollowdog9049 it would most likely say yield to u turn but it didn’t
06:40 girl that jeep made a dumb move but you were doing 78 miles per hour at that particular moment.
Yep, they had plenty of time to see that they were gaining on the Jeep rapidly. Should have been applying the brakes already.
11:50 He says he didn't have to yield when there are not one but two signs of yield. ¿Do you know that the yield sign is the only one with the triangular shape pointing downwards so as to know it's a yield sign for the other road even if you cannot read it? The same for the Stop Sign, is the only octogonal sign.
I always like when people pull over to check on others when they witness an accident. I know we all have places to be & things to do & people shouldn't try to render medical aid without proper training but just stopping to see if anyone is hurt is still heartwarming to me. Take care of each other out there.
7:25 if your car needs that long to stop it shouldn't be on the road. Get new brakes people.
I don't think it was a matter of the vehicle failing to stop. The driver failed to begin slowing in time. Note the speed of the vehicle (as indicated in the footage) remains constant for 2-3 seconds *after* the vehicle in front begins braking. The following distance was fine for the speed of traffic. I suspect the driver was not paying attention to the road.
@@DorkusDidactus
Lifted trucks /SUVs often have larger wheels.
Larger wheels mean that more force has to be applied to the brakes.
Imagine drawing a straight line from the wheel hub to the outside. This line acts like a lever.
The longer the line (the larger the tire diameter), the harder the brake has to work to stop the same mass.
And the larger rotating mass should not be underestimated either.
Cammer looks to be a truck, sadly they can’t stop as fast as normal cars because of how big they are

But if you're a doctor, lawyer, nurse, pilot, whatever, you have to take annual training. I think if this were done across the board I think less accidents would happen.
5:34 cammers fault 100 percent
I would say so; if there is anything we have learned from these compilations it is that it's a bad idea to make a turn and immediately slide across lanes.
The text says that U-turners must yield to right on red in Omaha. That sounds totally made up.
@@bradpalmer1751 All traffic on red yields to anything moving on a green, turning or not. That is definitely made up.
@@bradpalmer1751 I agree
5:40 wtf dude... hilarious! he's talking to himself, right? telling himself wft because he did not stay in the right lane when turning.
radiohead mentioned at 4:38
5:27 Cammer was at fault for both incidents. U-turning car had right of way since in all probability, his light was green and cammer's was red. Then, cammer failed to turn into the closest lane thereby sideswiping the passing vehicle, not the other vehicle sideswiping him.
read the text. i quote directly from it "in Omaha it is posted that cars doing u-turns must yield to cars turning right"
In my decades of driving I have never seen an intersection where someone with a green light is supposed to yield to someone with a red light so I question if the cammer is reading the intersection correctly. They might exist but it is logically an accident waiting to happen.
Cammer also fails to have basic common sense. Just because it may be legal to turn right on red, doesn't mean you just go when you want to, disregarding traffic.
@@alexacarrillo4339 stupid for it to be that way imo, yeah
Yeah, I just looked up Nebraska laws related u-turning. Nowhere does it mention red light right turners have a right of way to u-turners. That driver must be confused about something.
In every case, unless a sign at that intersection specifies, green light u-turners have the right of way to red light right turners.
10:30 didn't get to see, did you two figure out whose was bigger?
Dude said his "throttle got stuck" haha. Sure.

The number of drivers who don't understand how roundabouts work is nauseating. It sometimes makes them more accident prone than a normal four-way intersection.
if youve never had to drive on one...
@@noodletribunal9793 The first time I ever came across one I looked at the Yield sign and then it was immediately obvious how they work. So the "never driven on one" thing doesn't work as an excuse.
If you can't figure out how a Yield sign works, you don't belong on the road. The reason some signs have different shapes is so you can differentiate them in your periphery by shape alone. All stop signs are octagonal. All yield signs are inverted triangles. No other signage is allowed to have those shapes, so there is no possible confusion ever.
@@LeScratch89 i dont mean a yeild sign, i mean a roundabout. particularly, the ones with 2(or more?) lanes. the dude in the video obviously ignored a yield sign, but we arent talking about yeild signs, we're talking about roundabouts.
while the truck dude failed to yeild, he apparently also didnt get in the correct lane. thats what i mean about not understanding roundabouts, because tbh, i wouldnt know what lane to get on either(ive been meaning to look it up). i would yeild just fine, but i wouldnt know whats going on with the 2 lane thing
roundabouts have less severe accidents since you need to slow down to take it
give the americans a break, they only just entered the 20th century when it comes to road technology
10:37 dear Dy, yata here, the lane was merging, and you wouldn’t let him in. Typical Bakersfield activities.
For once, the BMW driver was NOT an "idiot driver" @3:50. Traffic is backed up at the intersection and he's simply attempting to make a left hand turn. When you see traffic like this, slow the hell down, for exactly this reason.
You're saying it's fine to pull in front of oncoming traffic without looking or slowing down?
ABS requiring more time to stop is nonsense. If the wheels lock up and the tires start screeching, you WONT stop. The rubber actually liquifies at the surface from the heat, and liquid rubber does not have good grip. In a short stop emergency hard brake, ABS will stop MUCH faster every time. And don't try to mention "pumping" the brakes. That works over a longer distance but ABS typically pumps 60 times per second. Pulsing the brakes that fast minimizes stopping time and maximizes grip. No human on earth can pump the brakes anywhere near that fast. That is why all modern cars and most trucks have been with ABS for the last 40 years. It works.
EDIT: Idiots who think a big heavy truck is somehow safer to drive and somehow damage other peoples cars more need to take a course in physics. They are way harder to stop, roll over WAY more easily, and have much more kinetic energy, meaning when they do collide, they cause AND receive more damage. Being big and heavy does not have any advantage in an accident. Actually, it makes it worse. Crashing a big truck causes just as much damage to the truck and is more likely to kill you. Also, try crashing into a tree or a concrete barrier with a 5 ton truck. You're TOAST! It's a street car, not a tank.
1:20 how do people drive with windshields that filthy? No wonder he didn't see that SUV coming.
5:38 cammer's fault.
The cammer 7:40 has an angel protector
6:50 I know that exit, it is VERY easy to miss and there are always idiots cutting across to get to it. It is in upper Westchester near Elmsford.
1:55 Dom Torreto ?
I need to know why people feel the need to drive like this. What is so important they have to get somewhere as fast as possible, knowing accidents can, have and will kill? It's clear people know, they just don't care.
What triggers a person to STOP in the middle of a roadway when an accident occurs. Just dead in the road? Shoulders are for such purposes. Safe too.
It's amazing how many of these could be prevented if people just follow 3 simple rules my drivers education teacher gave us:
1. when driving, don't do anything but drive
2. Keep a safe following distance, enough to stop if the car in front of you hit an immovable object.
3. triple check before pulling out or changing lanes.
Bonus rule, always be on the lookout for people who don't follow these 3.
6:40 cammer was speeding
Which doesn't really matter. Who breaks HARD on a highway just so you can take your exit last moment? THAT is the really bad cammer.
If she wasn't speeding and left 3 seconds at least between her and traffic she would have had more options. As it is, she got lucky her swerve didn't kill someone.
Leave space in front.
2:01 If the throttle gets stuck in a manual car (it probably is manual considering its age), why couldn't you just push in the clutch?
Every street a 6 lane and these people still manage to hit another
If you're not smart enough to think to turn the car off or shove it into neutral and use the brakes when your throttle "sticks," you do not deserve to drive and your license should permanently and immediately be revoked. If I'm wrong in any type of scenario, please tell me how and why, and I'll accept it
The only ones I can think of are a failed control system with a push button start (basically unheard of multipoint failure) or a diesel. A diesel with a stuck throttle doesn't really have an "off" unless it's designed with a secondary fuel shutoff not connected to the throttle valve.
@jgt2598 I forgot about runaway diesel, you're right
7:20 - No, it's not the fault of ABS. It's the fault of you following too close for the actual speed and traffic conditions.
Yes and no
Larger wheels + normal brakes = longer braking distance
The ABS didn't "work" because the brakes are obviously not strong enough to lock the (larger) wheels.
You would have heard it if the brakes had locked.
No, cars that are doing U turn on a green light have the priority, cars doing a right turn can do so provisionally if it is safe, they are the last to go, if it's not safe, they don't go at all until the light is green. Better hold your commentary and learn traffic rules.
What was going on at 10:53? I see a double left turn lane, and the lady cammer says whyyyyyyyy? What did I miss?

But kudos for not escalating after acting trashy from the get go.
1:45 Looks like it would be 50/50? The SUV seemed to brake hard and swerve over as the cammer car came onto the road.
4:44 - Good tune!

@@cybertony so she probably didn't commit to breaking, *or* she knows her ABS is broken or something and is scared of locking up.
5:30 The only time that a right on red has the right of way over a u-turn is if they actually have a green arrow- in which case there will be signage saying u-turns must yield. However, smart right turners will assume anyone in the left turn lane is making a u-turn and anyone making a u-turn should assume anyone in the right turn lane may go at any time.
The cammer was an idiot three times in quick succession- it was also an idiotic move to just stop in the middle of traffic over a fender bender.

1:20 Short answer, Well Yes. There is always that other idiot who decides now is a good time to change lanes when another driver is wanting to pull out.
3:00ish this is something I see a lot in these videos but as a 29 year old have never seen in real life. HOW and WHY the fuck are people making turns from literally 1,2,3+ lanes over from where they're supposed to be? Literally the most insane fucking thing to me and how do they have a license!?!?!??!!
I've picked up a habbit with stop and go traffic, flashing my hazards once or twice if I'm significantly slowing down
With the exception of the failed throttle and the police chase most of these are easily avoidable if people *SLOW DOWN* and just drive permissively. People are more worried about being "first" than not crashing.
Edit: also the douchebag with the oversized truck and no driving knowledge. In that case he was clearly the one who needed to learn patients and slowing the eff down.
That fucking area by Bear mountain is very treacherous by harriman. Numerous times my vic got hit by that left turn.
th-cam.com/video/Dbz4I4BA7oA/w-d-xo.html I'm sorry, but this guy explains why they had to pass a law explicitly making right turns on red arrows illegal in Nebraska. First, the car making the U-turn has the right of way over a right turn on red. Period. The "U-turn must yield to right turn" sign is used where there is a green right turn arrow and a legal U-turn must yield to traffic using that green right turn arrow. Second, right turns must start and end as close to the right curb as practical. That lazy right turn into the left lane is a fine example of why that is. Finally, he says he took full responsibility for the accident. If only his comments didn't show that he blamed everyone else. Own your mistakes, people; it's the only way to learn from them.
@5:38 why would you pull across to the far lane before you’re traveling at speed? Ridiculous. So many accidents occur because people enter lanes of traffic wildly below the speed limit. If a car is approaching you from behind at a higher rate of speed than you, it doesn’t matter if they are in the wrong, YOU are impeding the flow of traffic.
11:30 there is no "straight" what most people think. Incoming traffic has yield sign and his is why black truck must yield.. If there is none cammer should yield due to right hand rule.
11:00 Oncoming traffic in a round-about or traffic circle has right of way unless specifically noted otherwise at that intersection. Merging traffic must yield. People are too stupid to drive.
12:16 if this dude is so concerned with what getting in a collision with a truck that large might do to someone, maybe he shouldn't drive it at all? or anyone for that matter?
1:50 His throttle got stuck, so suddenly he had to not get off at that exit? BS
You hear him hammer the throttle, that's when it stuck, he panics and locks up the front wheels which prevents him from steering.
Throttle sticking was a common issue with that year vehicle.
Given the age of the vehicle I can certainly believe the throttle got stuck, but that is not what caused the accident. What caused the accident is his decision, when he realizes he is in the wrong lane, to not take his foot off the gas and fall in behind the cammer, but instead to drop the hammer and cut across the median to try and get in front of him. Stuck throttle or no, it was a dumb and dangerous move, if all too common.
"Dude this thing will crush somebody"
Yeah maybe fuckin learn how to drive it then
7:37 broooo 😭 that was a straight up jumpscare 😂 dude appeared out of nowhere
5:30 Please do not stop in the middle of the road for a simple little bump. It's really, really dangerous.
