When I started in Production, one of the coolest things was getting to visit the printer. I felt like I was in a Wallace & Grommet film, with all these conveyer belts zooming round, and little machines doing very specific jobs. It was so interesting!
Yes! I did not know what to expect - so many steps. And you're right aha totally like Wallace and Grommet, it made me think of those intricate experiments kids always did in films where each step hit something new and started a new reaction. - Jean
Really am interested how the actual binding is done. The heel of the book….. how it’s all bound so beautifully together must be very interesting to see!!??
I just wish this video was longer so it didn't feel like you had to rush through it! these types of videos are fascinating, I always want to see how a book gets made

At University I took a module on the history of reading and how it changed from the medieval period to present day. So fascinating!
Wow that must have been interesting - I'd love to see how it was done even a century ago in comparison to now, it's all very impressive work. - Jean
