We all look back and see "better days" through the eyes of our younger selves. We had all that youthful exuberance and energy which made the world seem more colorful and brighter. It filled us with optimism. One of my all time favorite quotes is "the youth is wasted on the young". Took me getting older to understand it, but it makes perfect sense to me now.
