Partido Federal ng Pilipinas and Nacionalista Party Alliance Signing Ceremony (Speech) 08/08/2024

“Today, we have the opportunity to forge another partnership that will broaden the grand coalition working under the banner of Bagong Pilipinas… With this, we form a strong united front that [would] help us fulfill our shared goal for the Filipino people. And I'm sure everyone will agree that our goal is to strengthen the foundation of our nation to better serve our people,” conveyed President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. as he stood witness to the alliance signing of the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) and the Nacionalista Party (NP) in Taguig City.
In his message, the President expressed his gratitude to see that some of the biggest, most influential and historical national parties of the Philippines have come together to answer the call for unity.
“I am very, very happy to have --- that we are today formalizing that alliance and that alliance now has formed the largest political bloc in the Philippines,” he said, adding that the unity pact cemented by the PFP and NP signified the Parties’ common understanding of what needs to be done in order to effect change and progress in the country and uplift the lives of every Filipino.
“Kaya tamang-tama dahil nga ang kasabihan sa NP ay ‘higit sa lahat, ang bayan’. At 'yan ang ating sinusundan na pag-iisip … Ang pinakamahalaga ay magkasundo tayo kung ano man ang pinakamaganda para matulungan natin ang ating mga kababayan. Iyan ang ating gagawin at sabay-sabay nating gagawin. At inuuna natin lagi ang ating mga kababayan. Inuuna lagi natin ang Pilipinas,” the President continued in his remarks.
The PFP is a national political party formed in 2018 that is currently chaired by President Marcos Jr. In today’s event, it formed a unity pact with the Philippines’ oldest political party, the NP.
