    Been overthinking my running and trying to find the reason for a slow XC season. Have been blaming it on 100 different things and trying to fix them all. Just found your videos and they have helped narrow down the actual things I am falling behind in, nutrition, strides and mindset. Thank you!!

      Those are three awesome distinctions to have made. I often find that those are the three things that are limiting most runners. Mindset first, nutrition second lack of proper base training third.

    Thank you, am a newbie runner at 52 years old but I can say it's really the same in business... I am cool about not getting a deal even though the customer verbally agreed but the situation changed for the customer a few months later and the deal came back to me.

    Love the stories of release and the message at the end regarding what this is all really about. Reminds me of what a new mentor of mine says about the importance of choices we can make that influence "what it's like to be me."

    Watching this the day before running a half marathon. I've been obsessing over the race because my training leads me to believe I'll make a PR. This video helped me to relax. Thank you!

    I watched this video just now for second time. My story: day after a long hot training run I ran a 5 mile race. My coach said just go out and have fun. If you feel good and the trail is in good condition just enjoy it. I stayed back and ran with others enjoying the ebb and flow of pace and trail surfaces staying out of the fray. I slowly made my way up and ended up passing a few runners easily. Felt relaxed and happy to push at the end. Found out later I won the Senior Masters award in our club race. But I felt the real goal was accomplished. I executed a happy mindset and ran better than I even realized. Thanks for all the inspiration you give us on this running and life journey!❤

    I love this perspective! It’s easy to get so caught up in what we want and forcing it to happen that we lose sight of the joy in the process, and probably the whole reason of WHY we wanted it in the first place. Letting go and allowing FLOW is working magically for me this year and others I share it with. Thank you for sharing your wisdom, knowledge and unique perspectives!!

    I only see this video now and it insanely true.
    I am 43 turning 44 in June but I believe that I am going to run 28 on a 10kilometer.
    I just cant help it to believe that.
    I am coming back from a 15 year break of running althought I have kept fit in these past years.
    Simce end of 2019 I have started to train I have had a solid 4 years of building although I started on the backfoot with a 3rd degree hamstring tare that I got in 2017 while I was doing martial arts.
    I am ready to go.
    I have been walkimg on my 3k, 5k and 10k..
    I am going to first run go for 30 or 31 after that I am going for 29.
    I expect to run the 28 when I go coastal.
    I am training inland which is a good advantage for me.
    By the Grace of God I am going to do it.
    In the past I could easy run 31minutes in training, 29 minutes on a 10kilometer.
    64minutes on a 21.1
    I need to get my core rock solid with my training and the rest is history.
    I believe by God's grace.
    I have seen in the past the believing part was what seperated the runners.

    As always more great advice. Most of my running career has been about trying to get better and trying to run certain times. Your message about flow is so right on. When I run without an eye on my watch, or thinking about pace I have my most enjoyable and sometimes best runs.
    Thanks for reminding me of that. Will definitely start incorporating more flow into my runs.

    Love your running content. It's really helpful. Funny, your video length is the same time as my 5k pr, but I've really been struggling with my running and getting back to that level. This was a great reminder not to force things, ever. Find your flow and grow as you go. Thank you for your content. Much love. 🙏❤️

    Thanks for the reminder, Andrew! As I look forward to my next marathon training session, I’ll focus on that mindset so I attract that sub-3!

    • @runelitecoach
      @runelitecoach  ปีที่แล้ว

      Focus on the mind for the sake of your experience of joy. But if you do it as a tactic to get the time, it won’t work

    I had a pr of 18:53 then the next meet i tried to run a pr and got a 19:24 but then i let go of having a pr the last meet and i got an 18:22, but also before i got an 18:53 i was really going for a sub 19 and it would creep closer and closer but i never got it untill i just didnt focus on the time untill i saw the clock at the end and i sprinted.

    Hey Andrew, I bought the book some weeks ago and I really like it. Well structured with lots of relevant research findings, tips and interesting cases of athletes to illustrate it all 👍🏻👌🏻. I am going to cook a nice trainingsblock now for my next marathon in April and will use a lot of the ingredients from your book.

    Great advice. It's almost like wanting something to much paralyzes a part in you so you've got to trick yourself in wanting it less so you can reach it eventually. Also with a statement like 'food not friends' I imagine you're vegetarian? Does this benefit your running?

    • @runelitecoach

    If you havent yet run below 3 hours you are not a sub 3 hour runner. Also, you can pr even if you are uncertain that you can hold a certain speed. Just run at that average pace and try to hold on for the whole distance. Either you body is good for it or not.

    • @runelitecoach
      @runelitecoach  ปีที่แล้ว

      Disagree on that. If you’re not able to run a sub 3 then you can’t be a sub 3. It’s the ability and belief that comes first. Execution is simply the final piece.
      You can train to get fit enough to run a 2:30, but just never actually race. You certainly are a sub 3 runner, despite never racing it. The race is just the formality.
