I would love it if someone would make a pve castle building tutorial for those people who can't build this beautifully and are not that creative. This is a great castle! 😊
Just follow this general rule. Plan out your rooms ahead of time, lay down all the walls first. Then plan your room layouts by putting down carpet or whatever paths you want. Then create "zones" where you want specific things to be. For example, zone East of the house should be all related to crafting rooms. Or you can do like floor 1 will be for decoration purposes or split up. Also follow the motto "Less is best". Don't overcrowd on decorations and only place down things that make sense.
just make a top down layout in Autocad. lmao in all seriousness idk, Ive never played this game but if I was going to try and plan a layout of a building thats exactly what I would do, just srart with a top down general layout of the building in CAD, pretty sure you can get a one month trial for free. Maybe look around online for building layouts to get some ideas or creativity from existing or modern designs or something, or even designs from back in like the 1600-1800s
Used to be easier before the multiple floors update, you could just map the terrain you wanted to buy in square tiles and plan from there. The only thing I also like to fathom is to not try building a castle before you got most tier-2 decoration pieces. Trying to build something with only basic tier-1 pieces is a lot harder.

@@ArmandMeredith Whoa, thank you! the pink tree seeds can be found in dunley; mosswick, monastery and the cotton field north west of iron mine. There's also a white version you can farm at maja's tower in dunley, but I didn't know about those

How were you able to create the floating foundation on the entrance? Its so good to look at. Tried doing it on my castle and it just wants foundation on the 2nd floor in order to get the roofing
The castel is great, but how did you do it to have no roof in the second flor of the first room? in 1:08 you have like a corridor in front of you but i cannot manage to do that

It's a shame this castle will be reset once a major patch like Gloom Rot comes out. That's why I don't bother building nice looking castles anymore on official servers and only on my private server.

This require lot of time. That's why i dont like huge castles. I am more fan of smaller, like half castle half house type of "castle". I tried to build big one on my 3rd character, but gave up eventually.
Yes, this was on an official server and it was wiped, but there is an option when creating your own server to disable this (or set the timer to 1 year)
It has everything except vermin nests and only a small garden. Everything is easily accessible and closely connected to the main storage. It's a PvE castle and has everything it needs. No need to vomit 50 stairs and erect 400 walls and honeycombs

I think I just figured it out! You use "invisible foundations" to create interior balconies. Hope this helps someone.

In castle foundation, there is a red border you can place to remove roofs

At 3:15, there are four female servants carrying staves in black dresses. What are they called and where do you find them?
Those are lightweavers, you can find them patrolling in silverlight city and the church area always has a guaranteed patrol of 2 lightweavers

When I try to build like this 1:10 I get roofs indoors on the first floor. How do I avoid this?
If you go into foundations, there is a red border and if you place it, it will remove roofs

They are also extremely annoying to place in a castle
We are not on a PVE server so we are letting our shards in the PVP castle to have proper defense against raiders
