The reason why is he's the complete polar opposite of Luffy, the only three things that they are the same on are #1 they have weak devil fruits that they made overpowered, #2 they mastered all three forms of haki, and #3 they have strange tastes in crew mates.
Something like this, yeah. I agree. I mean, I was always wondering why the marines are so "afraid" of the Celestial Dragons. For me it felt like what could they do, if the Marines say "No" "I don't help you" "I don't care what you say. I don't do what you tell me, get lost". I will make you are being executed!? Yeah? - by whom? I thought the Marines are like their bodyguards and their "Army", while the CP 0 is their "Secret Agency" and the Gorosei the Aristokrats or the legislative. Telling us now, that there is maybe an actual Army working for the Celestial Dragons gives me a reason to why even the admirals are so obedient, downgrading them to maybe the police, and not their army. So I would consider them as special force and therefore maybe even stronger than the Admirals...
@@itsemyd.bellisario5757 The marines are their army. The God Knights are the royal guards or knights. Knights are ranked higher than military officials in kingdoms. They're basically nobility.
Admirals being the strongest in the Marines doesn't make them stronger than the god knights, because the god knights are World Government guards, separate from the Marines.
Usually the later they are introduced the stronger they are. They should at least be Admiral level. Why would the revolutionaries worry about them if they aren't even as strong as the admirals?

The God’s Knights are supposed to be fiercely loyal to the WG and the Celestial Dragons, similar to the concept of CP0. That’s not the case for Shanks. It seems like the fandom will take every possible plot twist thrown at them and relate it to Shanks. That’s not the case here. He’s a pirate, a Yonko, and a former member of the Pirate King’s crew. He went against the Government in several occasions: when he stole the Nika Fruit from CP9 at sea, when he destroyed a marine fleet on his way to meet Whitebeard, and when he intercepted the war, even though he came to stop it he was ready to throw hands with anyone coming his way, marines included. There’s still mystery revolving around his special status in the eyes of Sengoku and the Gorosei but he’s NOT a God’s Knight
rocks xebec had to acquire 9 strong crew members because he knew about the 9 Holy knights. Why do you think Rocks was at Gods Valley. The 9 holy knights origins was Gods Valley. It makes sense "Only because it's you" - Gorsei to Shanks. Good old fashion Oda twist. He makes us think he's good. Then hints he's bad. Then he's a good guy again. Then plot twist, he's actually neither and just using his role to fuel his own goals, which makes the most sense.
Sengoku said the same thing to Shanks when he asked for Whitebeard's and Ace's body. The higher ups - including the Gorosei - respect Shanks to a degree. That was also shown during Jaya Arc when Elders were talking about Shanks. If that visitor talking to the Elders was a God's Knight, he would have had absolutely no reason for all the cloak and dagger. He's a God's Knight after all. He'd just walk in there with his head held high, kneel (out of respect) in front of the Gorosei and start reporting. And the Gorosei would have absolutely no reason to have such a sceptical and apprehensive attitude towards that visitor. They'd just have a normal conversation with him. Just how they would have a normal conversation with other subordinates like Akainu etc. That visitor was, indeed, the pirate Red Hair Shanks as we know him. But they gave him an audience "because it's you". They respect his standing in the world as part of the three great powers and respect the fact that he's a reasonable man.

Say what you want, but the rev commanders were pretty confident of holding their own against the admirals (without sabo). They would have tried their best to avoid the fight if they thought they would lose, which would compromise the mission.
The Commanders holding off the Admirals is like how Chopper and the crew holding off Big Mom for a bit without Luffy, circumstances matters in the show as well with this situation where there's a bunch of celestial Dragons just running around and the admirals trying to avoid them. The Commanders for the Revolutionary needs to be able to at least take care of themselves in some way if they really going to announce war vs the World Government, so it was a good showing of them being able to escape showing that they're not useless and are fighting for a cause
The God's Knights or Holy Knights, are definitely a much needed addition to the combat assets of the WG. Have to remember that this faction is supposed to be portrayed as the strongest forces in the series, beyond the Yonko, Shichibukai, Revolutionaries etc. Afterall they are the final enemies and true endgame of the series. It's also makes sense why have we not seen them until now, simply cause they are the Knights of God. They are only there to do the so call God's bidding no one else
I'd say for now they're on the same level as the yonko, which further solidfies the fact that yonko>admirals apart from a few exceptions like garp/akainu/sengoku
@@johnkatz1665 I am also alright if they are all Yonko caliber combatant, however that would mean that probably their matchups will not be for all of the Strawhats. Only the main powerhouses of Luffy's crew
I think a Holy Knight was seen wayback in the Punk Hazard arc during Clown's televised demo of his freshly made weapon Smiley with the horned broker with the feathered coat being the shadow of the horned knight when Dragon introduced this new faction in his thought bubble. I believe the horned knight wanted to use Smiley either as a steed or weapon.

I think there were supposed to be 10 holy knights, but one of them ended up becoming a pirate. That silhouette could be a brother of Shanks, explaining how close they look
I think I want one or more of the Holy Knights to be directly related to Shanks. Like his dad, brother(s), etc. If this is the case, Shanks could be the black sheep of his family and rebelling by trying to overcome the people his family serve- his version of being free. He probably didn’t learn of his origins until he was a bit more grown up. Probably near the end or after Roger. Having grown up with Roger, he probably decided he would be the one to guarantee the end of the WG’s rule. But he’s being as methodical as possible to ensure that’s the outcome. Haki is willpower manifest. If he has the patience and willpower to literally wait for 15 years and mentored by Roger, he would absolutely have monster haki. To me this makes sense and I’d love if somehow Shanks is legit fighting his family alongside Luffy at one point.
When Shanks met with the Five Elders, we never saw his scar. How do we know it was really him, and not his twin brother or something. If Oda had this thing planed out all the way back, damn...
I've seen this idea in other comment sections but it makes zero sense. What reason would a God Knight - who are probably all stationed at Marie Jois anyways - have to be all claok and dagger? He'd just walk in there in there with his head held high and conduct himself in a much more formal manner - maybe kneeling down to the Elders while reporting to them. And the Elders wouldn't be like: "What the fuck you want...make it quick."
But the thing is, the gap between that moment and when Kaido and Big mom were finally revealed was like 10+ years. Oda had a lot of time changing their designs. We've only been recently introduced to the Holy Knights and they will be revealed pretty soon.
I have a theory.....The first big war was the Marinefrd at the endthe damage was huge so the holy knights must end it before a lot of strong person's die.....Now we have the start of the second big war and its not vs marines its vs the celestials or the "gods" so the holy knights must end it fast and before dies even one celestial....BUT the holy knights now want the one piece (Shanks said now its time to move for one piece). Soo... I think Shanks wants to go well with the celestials and the government until the time for one piece come... Shanks is very powerful and can help the celestials......I think the dream of shanks is too be The king of the world
If you look at those shadows it looks like Bonk Punch and the monkey Monster are the top left one and Yasopp is the one below that. Though I do kind of expect us to know a couple of these knights, just the reveal will be a little surprising. My 2nd choice is Cavendish the "white knight" with his alter ego Hakuba. If you look closely at the hilt of the rapier Durandal it has a fancy piece of looped metal above the sword just like the siloutte does we assune is Shanks, which is more like Cabbages fancy swords hand guard than Shanks Cutlass. Also would make sense that whomever the Knights are have been hiding in plain sight, and his alter ego Hakuba is pretty deadly. Or Imu has a mirror mirror fruit and is copying people it meets to create this force of Holy Knights?
How did the power scaling situation not change? The line has been Sabo & a few good men, but seemingly it was just two good men & no Sabo. Even with the admirals nerfed that’s major hype for the rev captains. Also if this is how strong Morley is, imagine Dory & Broggy now.
The admirals didnt change for me as oda went out of his way to give them both bad optics and the perfect excuse just so he could progress the plot on the revs end with sabo, this does have me concerned about endgame fights if it takes place in mary geoise tho, which is why i bet the gods knights will be celestial dragons so they can harm other Celestial Dragons if any future battles take place in mary geoise so they wont have the same issues the admiral run into
Who remembers the First mention of Dragon? Who would have thought back then how big the Revolutionary Army was? God's Knights are interesting. The Celestial Dragons have the "best" of everything, so why wouldn't they have top-tier fighters with "pure" blood? It makes sense. I would love it if Shanks or his brother were part of them. I wonder what DFs they might have? I want to know what information justified destroying a whole island.

CP0 work directly under the Celestials. Buckingham was a clone assigned to CP0, it isn’t hard to believe that those knights are also former members of Rock pirates (potentially) or it could be clones of the Gorosei, maybe back then there were 9 of them and the knights are the clones of them all. Clones are now a thing that happen in One Piece so it is possible. 🤷🏾♂️
IMO - Its shanks ancestor, because i feel like the Holy Knights are JoyBoys crew. The ancient kingdom was years ahead of where Vegapunk is now with tech and science. They HAD to have the ability to make clones/enslave. Also we haven't seen a DF that could control the mind (besides the mini filler arc with Breed and Doffys ability to control the body, so maybe Odas been saving it? And what better way to cause a void century from Imus perspective than having Joyboys crew go and slaughter all their allies and basically kill the memory of Joyboy. The imagery/symbolism of Joyboys crew, the one that was supposed to free the world is now enslaving and wiping out his name, is pure evil, which the last big bad of one piece has to be. Not saying Imu is the one with that power, but the brains behind the operation, and still a powerhouse. A loyal subordinate (like King is to Kaido) could have it. The holy knights could be helmeted, and "controlled" by the gorosei, and the celestial dragons wouldn't question it.
@@mokaljordan Shanks is most likely connected to Celestial Dragons. Probably the son of one of those who were at God Valley. Much more likely that Buggy is Xebec's son, if anything. He was picked up on God's Valley, too. He either was the son of a slave or son of Xebec. His new hair style might be a small hint at that connection as well. But...I mean, anything's possible. I always thought it was called God's Valley bc they were trying to create the God Fruit there. At least that's the most popular and believable theory (the 694 theory) in the Japanese community made by Yuderon - the absolute goat of theories and understanding of Oda's writing and picking up hints. But what if it was called God's Valley bc they were creating the God's Knights? It's possible. Don't believe it myself. It doesn't add up with the rest of the 694-Theory - including Donquixote Homing's actions, Captain John's treasure etc.
Here’s what’s confusing: The Marines and the Cipher-pol World Government are the only two powers that the holy land has ever used to enact their “Justice”. The fact they are dispatching 9 new enemies under a brand new “faction” of Mariejoia means either one of 2 things: 1.) they are a force even more secret and powerful than the Admirals 2.) they are a group that was very recently created, possibly through technology. This second answer gives credence to the clones theory.
Even if the admirals were handicapped, it still shows that the Revolutionary army commanders are serious fighters who can hold their own on the world stage. That the commanders are individuals whom you can't just send any run of the mill marines to capture them.
I think shanks has twin brother. And maybe MAYBE that was his twin brother that showed and talked to the elders and said " I want to talk about a specific pirate "
GUYS HEAR ME OUT THIS IS THE BEST EVIDENCE ABOUT THE SILHOUETTE! Remember when Shanks went to Whitebeard and WB said "The wound I got from that guy aches whenever I see your face" What if whitebeard's scar could have been from fighting Shank's dad! WB said that everytime WB sees Shanks it reminds him of the guy who put the scar on WB. To make the timeline make sense, it is probably Shank's dad but that would mean shanks' dad would be really really strong since he was able to wound WB. Maybe thats how Shanks is very strong and why the gorosei allowed Shanks to meet them (because his dad is the leader of God's knights) and that would mean Shanks is a celestial dragon NOW THIS ALREADY MAKES SO MUCH SENSE ALREADY ODA THE FORESHADOWING WTFFFFFFFFF whitebeard scar could have been from the silhouette man. WB said that everytime WB sees Shanks it reminds him of the guy who put the scar on WB. To make the timeline make sense, it is probably Shank's dad but that would mean shanks' dad would be really really strong since he was able to wound WB. Maybe thats how Shanks ie very strong and why the gorosei allowed Shanks to meet them (because his dad is the leader of God's knights) that would mean Shanks is a celestial dragon because i was also thinking that if the celestial dragons were able to overthrow the ancient kingdom many years ago, that would mean they must have had really really strong fighters having been able to overthrow and advanced kingdom. And maybe Shank's dad or whoever it is that is related to Shanks is a descendant of that group of fighters. We could even say the current Gorosei must have been past holy knights since they have battle scars also. And assuming they were past holy knights that would mean they were once acquainted with shanks' dad thats why they were willing to listen to a discussion. I know this is very crazy but we'll just trust Oda and see how it goes
It's crazy to me how many people are saying: "That guy who visited the Gorosei wasn't Shanks! That's why Oda didn't show the scars on his face!!!" That makes no sense. If that visitor was a God's Knight, he'd have had absolutely no reason for all the cloak and dagger. He'd just walk in there with his head held high, possibly kneel down in front of the Gorosei (out of respect) and start reporting. It would be similar to, for example, a CP0 member reporting back to Celestial Dragons. And the Gorosei, in return, would also have absolutely no reason to display the kind of sceptical and apprehensive attitude they did, if it was one of their own God's Knights. That visitor was Red Hair Shanks. And the reason the Gorosei granted him an audience - just like they granted Vegapunk an audience - was because they respect him. They respect his standing in the world as part of the three great powers and they respect the fact that he's a reasonable man - which was shown in their conversation during the Jaya Arc. It's similar to Sengoku's respect for Shanks. If anything, Oda didn't show his scars for ambiguity - for exactly this. To make people question whether it really was Shanks or not. Can' believe how simply everyone seems to be falling for it, considering the logic doesn't check out for a second.
I think if you take a step back, it's obvious that Morley and Karasu are strong. They wouldn't of been sent to the holy land by themselves, or at all. It doesn't change much for either side imo. The admirals were most def handicapped and neither side were going all out or even trying hard. The admirals wanted this shit to be over and the revolutionary side had objectives they needed to accomplish. Once we see them fight seriously then things can change.
The admirals were restricted more so than the Revolutionary Commanders. That being said the Commanders were also as they freeing slaves and clearing routes for them to rendezvous. That being said, the revolutionary army needed this, as the power to potentially replace the current system. The Narrative also needs factions to be relatively comparable in strength so for the story we needed to see the commanders holding their own to boost their stats. Oda does it again.

Off cuff take, there's the theroy that Shanks is an adopted Celestial Dragon. The figure that looks like Shanks is related to Shanks some how. I'd bet twin that was picked up at the same time. Just a thought.
Even with the Admirals being handicapped as they are, are we to assume that the Revolutionary Commanders are stronger than, say, Queen or Kidd? These are two powerful fighters that were one shot by Yonkou with the Yonkou using small scale attacks. Or do the Admirals not have Conquerors haki to be able to do that sort of damage in a small area? I just don't see how the Admirals can't run up to the commanders and punch or slash them like the Yonkou did to people far weaker than them
The thing is why would a God knight be a Yonko and why would he go claim the One Piece, let alone previously be on the Pirate King's ship?? Sure Shanks went to meet the 5 elders and the way is bowed to them is the way a knight should bow but he was covering his head? Shit just doesn't make sense..
I don't think Shanks is a God knight most likely someone related to him is like a father or a brother is that ever happend. I'm more wondering about why they are mentioned only now, it would make sense it they were present on God Valley too as it was the only place were celestial dragon living outside of mary geoise. Maybe it was an order created after the incident on god valley to counter any people like Xebec as a last line of defense if the marine failed. I'm certain that we will see Kong amongst them as he is the Commander in chief of the WG and we don't really what that mean we assumed that he has a higher position that the fleet admiral and direct control over different goverment organisation like the CP, Enies lobby, Impel dawn, the marine. If we rethink about the reverie especially the moment when the five elder bowing to Imu asking about the cleansing it felt like knight infront of their ruler and knowing now that one of them is name Saturn like the roman god (link to cronos god of time and death). To me the five elder a definitely the higher rank in the god's knights, and the group might be a mix of former marine extremely loyal to Imu like Kong, maybe some agent of the CP-0 but mainly of Celestial Dragon who are in line to serve Imu and be promoted to the five elder.

I do give the commanders their props This whole time I thought it was a 4v2. Or 1v1(Sabo v Fuji) and 3v1 But for it to be two 1v1s, with Lindburg freeing slaves and Sabo freeing Kuma, is much more impressive. I know there was a HUGE handicap for the admirals, they still could've gotten washed But I'm pretty sure something happens that ends these fights without significant damage to either side. I think Fuji is gonna let them go.and I thought it was funny that Fuji said "would you like any meteor on your sandwich". Like, "I could use this as an excuse to kill some of these CDs 🤷🏾♂️"
Random, but what if it wasn't uranus that destroyed lulisia, but one or all 9 of the holy knights? It almost lined up perfectly with 8 islands rebelling and Imu sending 1 knight to deal with each island
With the introduction of cloning, I would not be surprised if the God Knights are composed of the clones of the strongest of those who have ever lived. I would not be surprised if that is why Shanks was able to get an audience with the Gorosei. That said, he is most likely of Celestial blood and could also just be a member of the God knights himself.
The Flying 6 were okay. They are basically what one would expect below the Commanders and it makes sense that they would cause a lot of trouble near the frontlines against most enemies (which Sasaki seemed to allude to).

"the strongest fighting force of the NAVY/MARINES", not the World Government. It wouldn't make sense that the Navy are the only organisation under the World Government, considering in Romance dawn there was a Military Police, which would make sense for Fujitora and Aramaki having been part of before becoming Marines. The Marines are the WG's most prevalent and powerful force fir the world, but not for the "gods", rather, they are just footmen while the Holy Knights deal with important matters
I don’t know why everyone says “obviously Roger” when bringing up Whitebeards scar. Roger doesn’t make sense there because Whitebeard is talking about “that bastard” or “あの野郎”, in a negative light and not mentioning his name. But then like a min later he’s literally talking about Roger and reminiscing on the old days. And even if you ignore that, Roger’s literal son was a Whitebeard commander lmao. In defence of the Rev commanders... Random but I rewatched film Z and Kizaru gave us a spoiler when the movie starts after the dyno stone explodes on the first island. He said” damn they really dropped a bomb on this island.
I view the average admiral as ppl that can take out most commanders and give a good fight to a yonkou...the strongest admiral will probably be above the weakest yonkou but it's not the same case for the strongest yonkou
My thing is we still have Luffy still has two emperors to deal with (Shanks and Blackbeard) so is the four emperor saga over( is this still the saga where they find the one piece?)
We definitely know Shanks is from a Celestial Dragon family, but I would think Shanks himself has no love for the Celestial Dragons. He’s a lifelong pirate at the end of the day, so if anything, that particular Holy Knight is from the same Fearland family as Shanks.
If Lafiette is Rob Luccis bird, it would make way more sense how he got to Marie Jois. Also If Laffiette, I wonder if there were any instances where he hypnotized Lucci? I also was thinking, What if Roger was a God Knight? He has the cape, the sword, and protected the celestial dragons. I dont think so, but it popped in my head
Maybe Shanks is a knight, but hios goal is to get close and gather intel on the Gorosei and Imu for the greater good/balance of the world. Shank has always had a narative connection to Blackbeard so that would be a fitting opposite type infultration of what Blackbeard did in Whitebeards crew where he lurked in the shadows for selfish reasons.
Why didn't the rev captains hurt the celestial dragons, if them being injured will cause the admirals a big problem? Sounds like none of one near the admirals were hurt. I consider this a win.
Holy Knights are not part of the Marines. That statement about admirals does not apply, they are IMU personal body guards they don’t even defend the Gorosei or normal celestial Dragons, so yeah I’m assuming most are above the admirals because they are who Dragon was waiting for, he didn’t care about The marines

Because nobody is surprised by it. They’re richeous people. Also I think dragon would’ve pulled up then if they would’ve tried to kill the admirals
I think there were supposed to be 10 holy knights, but one of them ended up becoming a pirate. That silhouette could be a brother of Shanks, explaining how close they look
I think Oda wants us to think that it is Shanks but it actually isn't him at all.

Here’s what’s confusing: The Marines and the Cipher-pol World Government are the only two powers that the holy land has ever used to enact their “Justice”. The fact they are dispatching 9 new enemies under a brand new “faction” of Mariejoia means either one of 2 things:
1.) they are a force even more secret and powerful than the Admirals
2.) they are a group that was very recently created, possibly through technology. This second answer gives credence to the clones theory.
Even if the admirals were handicapped, it still shows that the Revolutionary army commanders are serious fighters who can hold their own on the world stage. That the commanders are individuals whom you can't just send any run of the mill marines to capture them.

GUYS HEAR ME OUT THIS IS THE BEST EVIDENCE ABOUT THE SILHOUETTE!
Remember when Shanks went to Whitebeard and WB said "The wound I got from that guy aches whenever I see your face"
What if whitebeard's scar could have been from fighting Shank's dad! WB said that everytime WB sees Shanks it reminds him of the guy who put the scar on WB. To make the timeline make sense, it is probably Shank's dad but that would mean shanks' dad would be really really strong since he was able to wound WB. Maybe thats how Shanks is very strong and why the gorosei allowed Shanks to meet them (because his dad is the leader of God's knights) and that would mean Shanks is a celestial dragon
NOW THIS ALREADY MAKES SO MUCH SENSE ALREADY ODA THE FORESHADOWING WTFFFFFFFFF
whitebeard scar could have been from the silhouette man. WB said that everytime WB sees Shanks it reminds him of the guy who put the scar on WB. To make the timeline make sense, it is probably Shank's dad but that would mean shanks' dad would be really really strong since he was able to wound WB. Maybe thats how Shanks ie very strong and why the gorosei allowed Shanks to meet them (because his dad is the leader of God's knights) that would mean Shanks is a celestial dragon
because i was also thinking that if the celestial dragons were able to overthrow the ancient kingdom many years ago, that would mean they must have had really really strong fighters having been able to overthrow and advanced kingdom.
But in all honesty, the holy knights are probably just fodder like the flying 6 or the giants from wano
It's crazy to me how many people are saying: "That guy who visited the Gorosei wasn't Shanks! That's why Oda didn't show the scars on his face!!!"
That makes no sense.
Sabo was not shown in the fight, only karasu and Morley were shown fighting the Admirals so I believe they did wayyyyyy better
Did the chapter drop in the discord?
Bro what happened to your outro music.. your breakdowns are fire but the song was sakazuki
The next Brago and King Discussion is gonna be a good one 😂
I feel like Karasu's Fruit Power was chosen because Oda wanted Itachi in One Piece.
Just like Kishimoto wanted Kurapika and Phantom Troupe in naruto?

Even if shanks is a holy knight it doesn’t mean exactly that he is loyal he can have a mind of his own
I’d like to think that knight is shanks dad, and he scarred up whitebeard at god valley

There has been a glitch in the matrix....
My thing is we still have Luffy still has two emperors to deal with (Shanks and Blackbeard) so is the four emperor saga over( is this still the saga where they find the one piece?)
Can someone explain me who was that old pirate guy
Shanks being a God knight makes sense thats why he went to the goressia to talk about a certain pirate
Dude was literally one step from laughing like kahwi Leonard 😂😂😂😂
Blud is on drugs
I think they might clone the young version of all the old School top guys
Shanks is not an old school top guy. He wasn't even born during most of Rock's era and a kid during Roger's era.
@@bexclue3007 I didn’t say shanks I said old school top guys roger rocks and some hidden ones
I feel like they will be like the squad zero of bleach, they’ll be stronger than the admirals
LOL
You can LOL till you’re out of breathe my guy, ofc your admiral agenda is looking shaky so you had to respond 😉, tell me how I’m wrong 🤷🏻♂️
Who defends the Gorosei? Admirals, who defends celestial Dragons? Admirals. Where were the holy knights in sabaody? Who’s going with Saturn? These guys don’t make a move for the gorosei or normal celestial dragons
@@Haikami Brago just literally showed the scan of the manga lol it says MARINES and even so if they are working for IMU they are not part of the world government everyone knows, they don’t protect gorosei or celestial dragons because no one is really supposed to know about them and IMU. In no way you look at it can you use that statement as a cope for the admirals
@@Haikami I think they never said that they were the strongest of the World Government, they said they were the strongest of the marines.
But, as the Gorosei told Akainu, the marines are only the public face of the World Government. So there could be a holy knight that is as strong or stronger than the admirals.
If he really is a soot logia Sabo needs to light the soot on fire and make the most badass flaming crow motherfucker known to man
