I read entirely in digital these days for medical reasons, and it’s only an issue there when it comes to memory. But I agree entirely about print; my shelves have omnibuses and I pretty much regret them all. A handful, like The Nightmare Factory by Thomas Ligotti, have appropriate margins. But they’re exceptions.
Yep, good point. Definitely not a good reading experience when the text disappears into the middle.
I might buy an antique pulpit to rest giant books on. Only works with hardbacks though.
What you need is one of the Huge Presbyterian Pulpits we get in Kirk's here. You could then use it to preach your Booktube videos!
I'm in agreement with you. Even more so with comicbook omnibus editions. They look nice on the shelf but are too large and heavy and ungainly to read.
