  • Dia De Los Muertos dates back almost 3000 years to the time of the Mayans and has become a UNESCO Protected event because of the cultural heritage it holds. There is so much symbolism that goes into this day it is a bit mind-blowing, to be honest. So I partnered with Xcaret Park in Mexico near Playa del Carmen to learn more about this, see how locals celebrate it and delve into the delicious delights of Quintana Roo and Mexican cuisine. Come along this journey in Mexico celebrating The Day of the Dead, celebrating the life and death of ancestors, and several millennia of cultural extravaganzas.

Have you ever celebrated Dia De Los Muertos? If so what are some of your traditions? If not what did you learn today about it?

I love Rainforest Alliance! It's great seeing who they work with. Those puppets are really cool. I'm guessing it was a journey to become king. It was amazing to see all those different altars. What an amazing trip.

I honestly hadn't heard of them before, but am also now a HUGE fan! So cool to see the product of companies that support locals for sure. I thought so too on the puppet's journey to king. It was cool to see the ancestors of the past coming back through fire and animals and such, having the Mayan beliefs tie into the show was so cool!
