- Come hang out at home with us today! We have some fun in the pool, I try to teach Jackson how to dive which is a littler harder than I thought lol. The boys have an eye doctors appointment and this is Jackson's first time at the eye doctor, it was cool to see his eyes. Then we talk about Oliver's 15 month check up and give a little update, he's doing so great and we're really proud of him!

I was a lifeguard for 11 years, and I LOVED teaching kids how to dive!! I loved the the process of going from sitting on the edge of the pool, to kneeling and then to standing. Jackson is so smart. I bet he picks it up fast!

Pool safety note; kids with neon color swim suits stand out under water better. Kids with blue colored swim wear just blend into the pool. I think it was tik tok and was really scary how you would never see them under water. Just a note in case you are buying swim suits maybe pick bright colors

Jen, have Jackson kneel on the edge of the pool with his arms in front of him, holding his hands together, head down, and he basically falls in arms, head first. Gets his body learning how to dive. Once he gets that do it standing and again fall in head first. (Former life guard) lovely for you and Jackson to have pool time ❤

I loved that this video was mostly Jen making a vlog!! Congrats on driving again!! Both of your boys are about a year and a half younger than our boys and it’s always entertaining watching y’all go through the same things we have!
As an eye doctor, I thoroughly enjoyed watching your eye exams. I love showing their retinal pictures and appreciate it when they find them interesting as well. I also appreciate the depth perception test and glad Jackson did great. Not too sure why they prescribed for Jackson because that script is where you want him to be at that age, but I'm sure there were parts of the exam we didn't see.

You are diving now! Happy for you! I hope you will also set aside you and Oliver times or do things or with both the boys. I’ve loved watching Jackson grow through these last couple of years and look forward to seeing Oliver more. I know the first child all the milestones and such is very new but it can all be enjoyed with the baby too.

Really proud of you Jen on the driving. I suffer from driving anxiety as well and was so nervous when I moved to Florida 5 years ago. But, I did it! Also, step one learning to dive is getting down on one knee while keeping the opposite foot on the edge of the pool. Stretch arms out to the water and push off with foot.

Jackson's dives had me gut laughing! 😆 I love how you and Tim encourage the boys to try new things and to be brave, but also to not do anything they're uncomfortable with. ❤️
I also wanted to mention we are trying Fresh N Lean because they are precooked meals and I am over cooking the other subscription meals we've tried. It's healthier than Factor I believe, especially less salt content.

Careful with Jackson diving with goggles on. Once he learns to angle his face right for diving, the goggles will feel like being punched in the eye. People can get black eyes from it or it can increase the suction pressure of the lens causing a suction bruise.

Tijuana Flats is still open, but they did close a lot of their locations. I hope they are able to recover because I love their steak bowls and the queso is unmatched.

If you wanna teach him how to dive. Have him stand with his hands like a pencil over his head, squeeze your elbows to your ears. Then you’ll arch over like a dolphin, and just fall into the pool with the point of your hands first. Add the jump once he gets the hang of falling in with a point made with his hands over his head. That’s how they taught me when I learned to swim.
