That Kalitta Air B747 is 29 years old. There are A380s that were younger and have already been scrapped! Food for thought!
I know, talk about a commercial failure that was the a380. Too bad, I want the skies to be full of these super jumbos and not a321 neos.
In 1993 and 1994 I worked at Transiplex at the North end of the runway at SEA. The MD-11 angle of ascent after rotation was noticeably steeper than the other airliners of the day. The lift devices were amazing to see at such close range!
