Vintage Tabletop Bowling Game

- This is a bowling game that was in my grandparents house when I was a kid. Sometimes when visiting them we would set it up and play a few games.
It has metal balls that you bowl by rolling them down a wooden ramp. You aim the shot by positioning the ramp. The alley has gutters, and a ball return on the side.

Watching this as a kid was awesome!
We had the same exact one growing up. Only the top of pins had a red strip around them. I found this video by googling vintage tabletop bowling games. This brought tears to my eyes. Pretty sure our family’s is long gone.
Brings so much memories when I used to be younger like 3 or 4 when I watched this.

It would be cool if I could build something like this.
I bought this mini bowling set with 10 plastic pins, a metal marble sized ball & a laminated paper lane that rolls up.
If I could build something like this, I would glue the paper alley to the wood & make sure it's straight.
I also said I'd like to build a separate 1 for Canadian 5-pin bowling.
So good after all this time you've not lost any pins. I bet you had loads of fun with this when you were younger!

Retail's probably about 8-$1200, depending on condition, year, and maker. Fellowcrafters, Boston Mass, mid '40's to mid 1950's approx ca. Probably putvs it right around $900...

When i was a kid i used to play bowling when my dad built the mini bowling alley
that could be worth over a hundred dollars. i want that so badly.
thats real cool, they have one similar to this on amazon for $50 also made of wood and steel balls. 'gosports' mini bowling set.

Just found one in the hay loft of my barn... minus all the pieces of course.
The pins should be Candlepin instead of Ten pin cause the score card,3 balls and spaces between the pins are perfect for Candlepin
Nintendo Bowler 2 It looks like he's using a candlepin ruleset, too, with the dead wood in play. I'd totally get some long wooden beads from Hobby Lobby and play them!
John Seal Yeah, the rules that he played was specific for Candlepin but the only difference in this was the Pins which was meant for Ten Pins.

I see a Fellowcrafters catalogue from 1932 with plans for sailboats and doll houses and other sorts of crafts. This may be something your granddad made himself from plans or a kit, I'm not really certain but that's usually how they did it back then.
