Just file a lawsuit and charge her with child endangerment.
Force feeding a child a known allergen should be attempted murder.
Charge debbie for the therapy too.

There's a point where "eating healthy" becomes a mental illness, and I'm pretty sure Debbie has passed that point several times over.
Kinda wish the kid was lactose intolerant the way I was as a kid. It's been described to me as "that scene from The Exorcist, minus the head turning 360 degrees." Bet Debbie would've believed in lactose intolerance then. 🤣

Something similar happened to me and my son. He was born allergic to cow’s milk and would actually get pneumonia if he drank milk. I tried soy based formula but he rejected it so I started giving him goat’s milk, butter and cheese which worked great. Well….my SIL was outraged that I was feeding him “crap” as she called it. Luckily I never let her care for him and had to just bear her berating until I divorced her horrible brother. In one fell swoop I got rid of a terrible SIL, husband and FIL. I miss my sweet MIL to this day.

I grew up in a family of 13 kids. An I was the only one that had dairy intolerance. An my dad refused to buy me any dairy free products. So I had to learn how to keep myself healthy. An avoid foods I knew had dairy in them. So I could read ingredients by age 3. Or I knew I'd get ill. An my dad & siblings called the runt. He would refuse to take Drs advice or a nutritionist ect. So in my early 8 or 10yrs. I often ended up in hospital as my dad wouldn't leave out dairy in meals he cooked. As he had to cook for 15. An just doing me a separate non dairy meal he said was impossible. Or too much hassle. It made me ashamed of being intolerant. So I'd not tell people at school. It became a habit to avoid the dinner hall at primary & secondary school. Yet age 6 I went to boarding school for ill kids. It was the first time I had food I NEVER had to worry about, as I wasn't the only kid who had dairy issues. I left age 13 & went to a children's home where my dairy issues were also understood. It was only at school lunch times I still avoided the dinner hall lol. I'd sneak out the grounds & go have a black coffee & portion of chips from the local chippy. As it was the only hot food place nearby.
It's so much easier these days though. As much better selection of dairy free products. Plus as a mom of 3 non allergy now adult kids aswell as my 3 wonderful grandsons. I've learned to cook for their tastes an my own needs. Even in my Pakistani style curries I don't use ghee or natural yoghurt. Yet ALL my Asian friends eat my curries an some of the women even asked for my non dairy recipes for their own non dairy family members lol. I make a yummy lamb chop bhuna & my chicken on the bone curry never stays in the pot for long as my kids & grandkids will eat several portions each. I have to put mine aside before the gannets attack the pot. An my stew pot is HUGE. It can fit a whole 32lb turkey in it an still have room for a load of veggies.

Okay the so-called healthy mom really needs to understand that eating the way she does costs a lot of money and not a lot of people can eat that way because of that fact. Putting people down for choosing but she considers regular meats and vegetables is just a snobby privilege thing.

I'm all for eating as healthy as possible. But my oldest son was born not only lactose intolerant but with an eating disorder called ARFID that was caused by a very traumatic birth. It triggers the gag reflex and has a lot to do with aversion to certain food textures. And that is different for everyone who has it. It's a very restrictive issue to have and made feeding him very difficult. Thankfully he loved fresh fruit. But he had to have only soy formula for the first 3 yrs.

Lactose Intolerance is the normal in humans. The genetic mutation that allows adult humans to digest raw milk's main sugar, lactose, developed over the last 20,000 years. Only about 35% of the world's population, mainly of European descent, can digest lactose without problems.

True. Also, humans are the only mammals that use milk after they have been weaned.

A lot of central Asian people can digest lactose without problems, the Mongols for example spread over a wide area and they drank lots of milk.

I’m lactose intolerant myself. For me it’s all but live in the bathroom on the toilet.
I can consume small amounts of dairy if I take my lactase pills first.
You can’t exactly build a tolerance to an intolerance. It depends on what is causing the intolerance. Lactose intolerance means your body is missing a crucial enzyme that helps you digest dairy. You can’t build a tolerance when you literally can’t digest something.
Thankfully there are lactose free variations of dairy products. Also, my local Baskin Robins has lactose free options for their ice cream now. I can also consume Dairy Queen’s ice cream fine too.
I’m also allergic to protein found in beef and pork, thanks to a gift from a tick. I miss bacon. I have not found a brand of vegan bacon I like. Turkey bacon is okay, but it’s just not the same. I don’t miss anything beef. Never really liked beef products.
I can consume venison fine, which is my favorite meat.
    I consider myself mostly vegan.
Debbie has an eating disorder. She’s abusing her kids with her extreme views on food and by forcing them to eat things they don’t like.
She won’t get the food she wants in prison.

why are folks so obsessed with health crap? seriously, all you have to do is eat fish & veg stew with toast & fruit jam with fresh water to wash down with, walk than drive if you can, take the bus instead of cars, if you can, go easy on the beer & boom!! youve got a good healthy life :) x

With food prices through the roof these days, I know lot of people that grow their own food now. I would love to have chickens for the eggs and meat, but I am not allowed to own birds because I once got avian pneumonia and my doctor said another bout might kill me at my age.

There are a lot of stories where MILs and other family members don't believe in allergies and almost kill the one allergic. There was also a story where a new roommate moved in with OP and two others. The new one was vegan and never asked if anyone was allergic to anything. Long story short, new roommate made breakfast with soy products and almost killed OP (deathly allergic to soy).

    • @laurab5750

I'd have to say the OP should have volunteered that information. Only if the vegan roommate ignored it would he be at fault.

My grandson is lactose intolerant too. When my mother found out, she went and bought soy, almond and oat milk and special flour to make pancakes and bread for him. AND mum was old school (milk is good for you, etc). Mum did more research than my son and his wife did on LI. She adapted recipes and even taught my grandson how to look for hidden dairy in foods too.

Oh and I have taught myself about herbs, mainly ones that are normally in a person's kitchen, and how to use them as medicine since I was 15 years old.... That doesn't mean I go around telling everybody that they should do this or that with these herbs. I mostly use it for myself and those around me who happen to ask because they happen to know that I make medicinal teas for myself. The woman's acting like she has a degree when she really doesn't and again it just screams privilege.

I am confused, is she lactose intolerant or allergic or both? Because hives don't come from lactose intolerant and I mean if it's just intolerant why didn't they just bring a carton of lactaid or soy milk with her?

    • @ellenosceola5707
      @ellenosceola5707 ปีที่แล้ว

Actually, lactose intolerance can cause urticaria (hives). Very often a young child who presents with lactose intolerance may have Celiac disease and may also be unable to tolerate gluten.

The not having dairy, I agree with. But why is the mother arguing about where the meat comes from? Or think that it's weird to grow your own fruits or vegetables? More people are trying to do that now.
Also, in the first half of the story, Amy is only lactose intolerant to milk. But then, it's suddenly saying she's allergic to milk and dairy. Being lactose intolerant isn't the same as being allergic.

Texts wouldn’t be used in court. They don’t show who sent what. You can create a text thread to yourself easy. Law enforcement have access to the IP and other information that shows the owner of the texts. You and I don’t.

Texts can and are used in court. Cops get a court order and have the phone carrier give them copies of all the texts. Nothing is erased. I know this because my wife was an employee of Sprint in the subpoena compliance department, who in turn turned that to the legal department.

Wait! Is the kid lactose intolerant or is the kid allergic to dairy? They are two completely different things.. lactose is milk sugar and people who are lactose intolerant, lack the enzyme to digest that milk sugar… so they end up with nausea, gas, diarrhea, stomach pain etc. People with a dairy allergy can end up with hives or some other manifestation that their body doesn’t like dairy.
