Ignore the haters, it's like asking us Europeans to react to a compilation from the NFL throughout the ages. That said, this was a real who's who of World footballing history. And you're 100% right in saying that no matter how you enjoyed watching and reacting to the video that it simply and understandably won't ever be as significant to you as it is to us fanatical European fans.
Fair play guys as there isn't many channels that care what they put out let alone react so positively in the face of criticism over one piece of content. That's why I and I'm sure many others love you and your honest reactions.❤🇬🇧
PS; U.C.L is the UEFA Champions League.🍻

Here's a bit of context for the goal at 10:37.
Pelé was only 17 when he played his first World Cup in 1958.
He was the youngest player ever in a World Cup.
He missed the first three games because of an injury.
His first game was the quartefinal and he scored the winning goal, becoming the youngest player ever to score in a World Cup.
He then scored three times in the semifinal.
The goal we see here is the first of the two goals he scored in the final (and one of the most iconic in the history of football).
In total, he scored six goals in three games.
Brazil won the World Cup for the very first time and Pelé became the yougest winner of a World Cup.
When the game was over, the whole team carried him on their shoulders and he broke down in tears.
That day, a legend was born.

Just want to say that Greece winning the Euro final in 2004 had odds of 150-1. But when Leicester won the 1st premier league title they had odds of 5000-1.

Almost every time I watch this video, there is some moments where I cry... when you see those raw feelings of joy and when you realize that everything that guy was doing in his life was for that moment, he is living his dream since he was little kid... thats something most of us will never experience in our short lifes and we can feel small part of it by just watching it... that is beauty of football...

When Leicester won the premiere league they were actually 5000 to 1 to win it. They were the biggest underdogs ever. No one could understand how they could keep beating everyone. It was a very special year. Everyone wanted them to win it in the end.

Norwegian die hard football fan here. I travel the world to see football. Football is the only thing that makes my grown ass cry like a baby. Football is my nr1. Football will always be there for me and it has more or less saved my life. The video you watch does not justify context. Leicester winning their 1st PL should never have happened. They went into that season ranked absolute bottom. They were expected to finish last but beat the 1/100000000 and won the PL. Not a short cup run but the hardest thing in world football to win. Love your videos guys! Every clip i think arh wish i could sit down with you guys and give you the deep context of every clip

My husband loved Liverpool when he was a little boy growing up in Nairobi. His father introduced him to the club and they used to listen to the BBC world service sports narrators, narrating the games live, or the highlights. My boys are born and bred in Sheffield, yet they are avid fans of Liverpool. It is like they inherited the love for Liverpool from their father and grandfather.
My nephews, who are born and bred in a village near Bradford, have heard my husband talking about how heartbreaking it was for him, when Liverpool was in the doldrums. They then became diehard fans as well. So although we love Sheffield United, Liverpool is in our blood.

Great reaction, the 2019 UCL (UEFA Champions League, which is the top club trophy in Europe) semi final between Liverpool and Barcelona is now known as the Miracle at Anfield, two of Liverpool's main forwards weren't playing and two of Barcelona's main forwards were ex-Liverpool players, so tensions were even higher than normal, but my favourite part is what the manager Jurgen Klopp said to his Liverpool team before the game, "It's impossible, but because it's you we have a chance", still gives me chills!

As a seventy five year old woman thank you for looking at our national sport and trying to understand the rules. I'm a passionate football fan and have been since the age of ten, when my Dad took me to my first game. I've travelled thousands of miles over the years to watch a live match. I absolutely love the game. Although I don't go to watch games any more due to mobility issues my passion is still in my heart. I love watching your videos so thank you for trying to understand why football, or soccer is such a way of life for the majority of people in the U.K.

One important thing you missed!: When Ronaldo scored the bicycle goal for Real Madrid against Juventus. - It was crazy but Ronaldo seems calm and the crowd “only” clapping. Why?
Those are Juventus fans 😳. Despite being die hard fans, they recognize true beauty when they see it.
RM fans did the same at Bernabeu for Ronaldinho.
Man U. as well when “the old” Ronaldo scored a hattrick at Old Trafford.
More than anything, this shows the love of the game… ❤

Great reaction. What you've seen there is the peak of national and club football. What's also really amazing about football is that these stories of heartbreak and triumph are happening in so many small clubs in over a 100 football teams in the UK alone. Then add to that the passion of fans in Spain, Italy, France Germany and the rest of Europe, South America, Africa and Asia and it is a truly global but also grassroots phenomenon.

Camp Nou, is fantastic as is Barcelona's Trophy room. Worth a visit. Football as ever, is an Emotional, throat grabbing,Heart tearing entertainment surpassed by nothing else. To see some real skill, watch Roaldino kick
a football at the goal crossbar and watch how it comes back to him, time after time, amazing. One of many
    of footballs amazing skills.

The real beauty of football is pledging your allegiance to one football club for life - it's very much a marriage - there are good times and bad, some unbelievably wonderful highlights and some incredible lows. How my particular team does will have an effect on my mood for several days after (even some of the stuff on this vid still hurts -like the Maradona goals against England in the 1986 World cup) - at the moment things aren't so great with my club (51 years a fan and counting) but there is always the hope that things will get better. The 7-1 thrashing of Brazil by Germany is one of the many things alluded to by Al Murray when doing his German finance rant. Finally, shame on anyone giving you a hard time based on your nationality, I enjoy your videos very much and always look forward to the next one. 😊

I think you guys are doing great! I’m English and live and breathe football. It consumes my life in every way possible, from Monday to Sunday I’m always looking at football, playing football or playing for games on my PlayStation, it’s been this way since I was a young kid (I’m now 23). If I tried to get into an American sport I wouldn’t be able to name a single player or team from basketball, baseball ETC. I appreciate your reactions for what they are. Two new people trying to understand the beautiful game. The possibilities are endless with this sport. PS I am a watford fan and my favourite ever moment was our play-off semi final against Leicester in 2013. A last minute penalty to the other game meant we would’ve have missed out on the final to reach the Premier League. We ended up saving the penalty and our main talisman for a decade scored a winner before the referee could blow the whistle. I highly recommend checking out the goal and also the commentary from a sky sports pundit. The reactions and emotions are incredible.

The Golden Goal is a rule used in association football, rugby league, lacrosse, field hockey, and ice hockey to decide the winner of a match (typically a knock-out match) in which scores are equal at the end of normal time. It is a type of Sudden Death. Under this rule, the game ends when a goal or point is scored; the team that scores that goal or point during extra time is the winner. Introduced formally in 1993, though with some history before that, the rule ceased to apply to most FIFA-authorized football games in 2004. The similar Silver Goal supplemented the golden goal between 2002 and 2004. The Golden Goal was introduced due to perceived failings of other means of resolving a draw (tie) in round-robin or knock-out tournaments where a winner is required. In particular, extra time periods can be tense and unentertaining as sides are too tired and nervous to attack, preferring to defend and play for penalties; whilst penalty shootouts are often described as based upon luck, and unrepresentative of football. FIFA introduced the Golden Goal rule in 1993. It was hoped that the Golden Goal would produce more attacking play during extra time, and would reduce the number of penalty shootouts. The term Golden Goal was introduced by FIFA in 1993 along with the rule change because the alternative term, "sudden death", was perceived to have negative connotations. In a knockout competition, following a draw, two fifteen-minute periods of extra time are played. If either team scores a goal during extra time, the game ends immediately and the scoring team becomes the winner. The winning goal is known as the "Golden Goal". If there have been no goals scored after both periods of extra time, a penalty shoot-out decides the game. The Golden Goal was not compulsory, and individual competitions using extra time could choose whether to apply it during extra time. ⬅⚠⚽🔥

The golden goal rule : in knockout games, if the score at the end of regular time is a draw there is another 30 minutes of extra time. During that extra time the first team to score wins the match and the match ends. That goal is the golden goal.

That last commentary was Thierry Roland, the most famous French commentator.
He commentated 13 World Cups, 9 Euros, and a total of 1300+ games.
His first World Cup commentary was in 1960.
What we hear here is what he said after France finally won its first World Cup in 1998 :
"After having seen that, we can die happy. The later the better, but we can."
He died in 2012. There was a minute of silence for him at the beginning of Sweden vs France at the 2012 Euro.

Brazil are generally regarded as the best international team of all time, often favourites to win. That's why beating them is special, hammering them is another level.

lol! I didn’t even notice that you missed the subtitles because I was just reading them and enjoying the video. Take no notice, you’re a lovely couple and I just enjoy watching you hold out the hand of friendship across “The Pond”. I despise your warmongering politicians on both sides, as I despise U.K. politicians, but you’d be welcome at our table in our home any time - thank you for what you do, it’s much appreciated. Love from the Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire border, England U.K. ❤🙏

To be fair, the clip was made for people already understanding the context, I can't imagine making sense of it without already knowing what it's about.
Also a video I think no other reaction channel approached so far but which is a super insight into football rivalry and the people behind the teams is "900 Years of Hate | Derby Days Lombardia | Brescia Calcio v Atalanta B.C.". It will allow you to understand the fans mentality not only in Italy but in many parts of Europe. I will subscribe and wait for it :)

I was one of the people who asked you to watch it again (not one of the rude ones) and watched it again with you. I respect everything you said about it and the first video. I think we ‘the football fans’ owe you an apology and explanation as to why we were so passionate about you watching it with context. It’s because we’re obsessed, and we want everyone to be obsessed. To football fans born and bred in England, only close family members are more important than our team. Our team is more important than our religion or our jobs. If our wives want us to go to a wedding when a big match is on, we miss part of the wedding 😂. So when we see a couple of people trying to learn about the beauty of football, our over zealous egos want those people to get it. Thanks for watching again. I love your passion for your subscribers and your channel. And mate, I love your OCD for getting things right, I have that too 😂

That was GREAT. Thanks for the re-visit. Manchester City winning with the " AG RE OU" scream was because they needed TWO goals in the last 4 minutes to win their first Title for 40+ years AND deprive their bitter rivals: Manchester United, who were celebrating, assuming they had won(their game finished 5 minutes earlier) That ENDED Man Uniteds incredible success of 12 Titles in 17(?) years and STARTED The Manchester City DYNASTY and Man City have won the last 4 league titles.
Not only did Leicester win their only league in 130 years but they were FIVE THOUSAND TO ONE,to win the league that season. That IS an UNDERDOG!

@RegenerationNationTV French here. 26:37 what the french commenter said (it was after the 1998 France's victory, the 1st time is always unforgettable, isn't it ?^^) : "After seeing that, one can die in peace, well, as late as possible of course, but one can !". I think it was put there in this video because it summarizes what it is for a nation, any nation, to win the World Cup. When the SuperBowl is watched by 150M people, give or take, the football World Cup is watched by 4B people, half of mankind, give or take ! That's what it means, how much it weights on the happy few actually on the grass playing !
Fun fact, i broke the horn of my car that day, honking insanly to share the happiness 😅 and saw people shaking a cop car with the cops inside, so hard i thought it was about to roll (fortunately not) and the cops were laughing and smilling so hard, all the streets were litterally invaded by joyfull people, it was trully an incredible moment !!! Thank you for recalling these memories ! 🖖

The thing about football stadiums is that they honestly aren't as big capacity wise as American stadiums (mostly due to population differences) but iconic football grounds as known less for capacity than they are for atmosphere. Generated by the singing and dancing supporters, and the acoustics of the ground.

That Maradona and Messi goal too, where they were basically identical is amazing also due to the fact that both of them are Argentinian, and the greatest player for their country of their respective times.

      @qweek 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Yeah, just like they say right before that even with the subtitles it's so hard to grasp the actual context unless they've actually followed football. Like Messi and Maradona both being Argentinians and both being the best players in the world but in different time periods. And just how Messi has always been compared to Maradona given all of that.

You could look up the best moments of every player in this video and you'd spend all day with your jaw dropped to the floor just on one player.
That free kick curl, was Roberto Carlos, he did that so often being fouled outside the box with him playing was almost as good as a goal.
This is why we love football. You can ask any football fan here what their favourite goal was, and they'll talk your ear off.

No appologies needed, props to you doing this for people, says alot about you guys.
To be honest, you never going to understand fully football, I mean no disrepect, in The UK and europe, your born to football, playing as a kid with friends, joining teams, i started playing team football at 7 years old, played for the under 9's, the under 11's then under 13's and under 15's, all in mini leagues, The team you support, is the town your born in, that never changes. As you have seen the chants, the saturday afternoon football, few beers before and after. The bond between fans. through good and bad times.
The same way, we dont get baseball or american football, we know it, and can like the game, its a passion. but, through your channel, you are learning football, the cultures, Just in the UK there are 5000 clubs and 7000 teams, from 7 year olds, to over 50's clubs

To be fair, even the subtitles don’t give justice to a lot of what happened. As an American you can’t be expected to know what is going on. Just like most Brits wouldn’t appreciate a Hail Mary to win the Super Bowl. Some of these moments are special because of the occasion or because of what has happened in that particular match.
I would recommend watching the miracle of Istanbul. The European cup final between Liverpool and AC Milan. Liverpool were underdogs and came back from 3-0 down to win. A lot of fans even left the stadium early.

I'm no football fan at all. But I caught that final minute of the England - Greece match where David Beckham had to score that free kick to keep England in the competition. Bending that ball into the top corner in what I think was the very last minute of the game, under that level of pressure- even I have to applaud that level of skill.

Football is the sport of the underdogs. Because of the low amount of goals, each goal is incredibly important AND it's not rare for a weaker team to play worse and still be capable of winning with a lone attack and goal.

The video actually shows Brazil winning the 1958 and 1970 World Cups. Including Pelé crying of happines, having scored the winning goal at the age of 16, in 1958.
There is also a goal by Garrincha, which might be from the 1962 World Cup, also won by Brazil.
