    One correction though: this script seems to only be left on github, it moved from sourceforge, but otherwise it's awesome!

    I spent a month learning the ArchLinux installation process and building my own way.
    But they have become almost meaningless...

      Hi there! To be honest with you I prefer installing from the command line as it is really fine tuning. I guess it’s just a matter of personal preference. Cheers :)

      It's working smarter instead of harder. Fiddling with text files gets old really fast and it takes forever. This is so much easier and more efficient. Automating the process to an extent.

    It reminds me when I first installed Redhat many many years ago. Thanks a lot for this, after installing 3 arch system recently (thanks to you for the EFI part), I understand each step of the script and everything makes sense to me. Still learned more with this new video ! Keep them coming ;) Thanks again !

    Although I installed arch the usual way. I wish I knew about this sooner. It would've saved me 3 failed attempts lol. Great video

    Hi Ermanno! Quick question, on 4:31 where you format boot dev, what do I choose if my system is BIOS and not EFI? Can I choose ext4?

    I don't understand one thing..... That is why did arch guys removed wifi-menu command and wget. When I installed in 2020 both were like it was not there and I had to first update it and then install wget.....
    I mean if something works just let it be there don't touch it

    Would like to see how to setup xorg with a hybrid video (amdgpu+nvidia). Can't get it to work with Lenovo Legion 5, in Mankato everything runs nice.

      @@eflinux i3 on Arco has been my daily driver for close to a year. It appears you've been busy with lots of other projects than taking a look. :) ICEwm has just been added for testing, and Sway and Dwm are in the works. I presume you're familiar with the Xtended ISO which has 6 TWMs and OpenBox. And then all those DE's.

    great video as usual but for some reason my Dell XPS 15 9560 shuts down @ 09:20 - running nvme - any suggestions?

      Can’t say for sure, but sounds like a driver issue, graphics possibly. Try to boot with nomodeset as kernel parameter and see how it works.

      When you see grub type “e”. On the linux line add nomodeset after the “quiet” word. Then type ctrl+x to boot.

      @@eflinux I don't get a grub the system shuts down @ 09:20 during the Install. Just tried Arco and it installed no issues 🤔 but shutdown with Archfi

      It surely has to do with some drivers. You could try the manual install and see if it happens.

    Can this be done using a dual boot already in existence? Ie, can the existing EFI (boot partition) not be reformatted?? Using the script.

      It should be, if it is correctly formatted and mounted.

    with me it's occuring the following error when I go "sh archfi":
    archfi: 29: archfi: Syntax error: "(" unexpected (expecting "}").

    How are you selecting all the options in the TUI dialog? Is there a keybinding for that?

      Hi Jonathan, you move with arrows keys, select with the space bar, and use return to enter the selection.

      That usually happens when language is not correctly configured. Look in the settings of English is set correctly.

      Re check the locale.conf file if English is set correctly and then try to run again locale-gen.

    It won't let me install grub at 8:48 because I don't have enough disk space. I have 45GB of space on my VM, TodoBerry's comment didn't help much as I think that 45GB should be enough. Is there anything else I can do to fix this?

      Hi, make sure your disk works in AHCI mode. The setting should be in the BIOS.

      @@eflinux Well it was my first time setting up a vm so I put a low amount of storage for the virtual disk. I put more storage into it and it let me install grub!
