The concrete is good, 4 years and counting. The sealer obviously can't stand up to extreme heat and direct flame, so the first few inches around the inside of the firepit have no sealer. Applying new sealer is super easy, comes off again after a few huge fires though-- it's not really a noticeable difference anyway.
IF you buy the rubber forms, they are expensive for a one-time use. At $200 each, if you used 6 of them as in the video, that's $1200. The forms are reusable though, and can be sold when done? The concrete, stain, and sealer used was about $300 total.
