In 2005ish I was working in insurance. Got a call from a customer who'd just bought the new Micra convertible. We didn't have it in our system. So I phoned up our underwriter, and looking a the cars data, we soon saw, we didn't have a policy that went *low enough* for such a rubbish car. We had to find the paperwork for a 1980s convertible Lada, type "2005" over the year and "Micra" over the model (engine size and stuff etc). It was a bracket group 1/a and couldn't get any cheaper if they were cycling!
These just never made sense. Make it a convertible. Drive miles away. Suddenly it rains. But you had to leave essential bits at home too big to take in the car with you when you desperately need the roof up!
Horrible thing. I think I blame this, the normal C3 Mk1 and the Xsara Picasso on why I’ve never been big on Citroën. I do quite like the DS3 and the newer C3s though.
Definitely don't agree with the Xsara Picasso comment. Belta cars them, especially the diesel. MK1 C3 was a shed but don't think much of the new C3s and DS3s :/
@@MattysCars Probably more to do with who was driving the Xsara Picassos and who was in the back rather than the car itself. Vauxhall Merivas seem to suffer from similar problems.
How did you fix the closed boot and non working roof?
It wasn't my car so I did not get them fixed
@@MattysCars Cool, thanks!
First rate video. Presented beautifully. 👏🏽
Cheers for the kind words mate😁
where on earth did you manage to find one of those
I have the odd rare bird come my way
Love your references to Sam Smith 😂😂😂😂

Don't park one of those anywhere near Mr Coleman, sir, he will destroy it mercilessly....
They destroy themselves given enough time🤣
@@MattysCars , Mr Manning, sir, I fear that you are correct, sadly.
poorly made, but in a sort of weird way...fascinating....good review as ever
Thank you!

Have you ever seen one in public with the roof down? That's why.
0:45 THEY'D be a Pluriel. Don't go Gervis on us mate.
I would now quite like to see Sam Smith review a pluriel...
Stranger things have happened...
Matty come on! Why are you even showing this car??
Every car is interesting in it's own way!
