Hi Ma'am. Common Bilary Duct (CBD) basically moves downwards passes behind first part of duodenum, goes back into head of pancreas and eventually enters into head of pancreas or pancreatic substance NOT SEPARATELY OPENS IN DUODENUM. Within pancreas it fuses with main secretary duct or duct of wirsung to form MAJOR PANCREATIC-HEPATO DUCT. This duct opens into the lumen of duodenum through ampula of vater. Regards Dr.Md.Abass
